Note there is no “score”, as no autograph has survived and none of the early copies are 100% reliable. It is legitimate, though, to not accept this as an excuse for the relative freedom that Bylsma grants himself. I’ve come to not care as long as the music is not corrupted. It isn’t here, in my opinion, and it’s great play.

Does the cellist use his own bowing here or are they notated in the score? Beautiful playing despite the room sound being a little too bright.
