I thought the same thing. I'm seeing all these Type Beats saying "free" and stuff but then in the Description it will say "only for NON-PROFIT use". So basically, a rapper can use the beat on soundcloud or something similar if he/she wants to make a song to show your friends or something, but they can't make money off of it.. But if that rapper feels like they can actually do something with the beat (as in make money off of it) Then they're gunna buy the rights mutafuka, so they can make money with the song if it blows up
Except, a lot of producers sell the exclusive rights. Meaning the producer doesn't get any money if the person who bought the beat blew up... :(
But yeah, I think they only say free so people look at it lol.
