I remember meeting Tameka a loooooonnng time ago with Usher in Berkeley at the Claremont Hotel. And I remember thinking, "OMG this woman is stunningly beautiful. Beautiful smooth skin and just overall great style." I never understood the hate towards her. Nice to see her interviewed and learn more about her background.
Since they’re switching up, I would also love to see a couple choreographers. Fatima Robinson and Laurie (can’t recall Laurie’s last name). I think the’d have some wonderful conversations.
Tank, my mom, who is in her early 60s called this morning saying that you’re coming to our city and she’s so excited! I hope you know the impact you’ve had on people of all ages! ❤ I plan to make a trip home to experience the show with her!
Love hearing her perspective about style. It's not about just putting on a designer. "It's a demeanor, an aura, how you speak, how you move.....It's a thing, not always about style or fashion." Also loved her book, "Here I Stand" such a good read.
Maybe its me, but she definitely kept mentioning Usher and it feels like she almost wanted to talk about the situation, which is why she brought it up herself “How do you marry a client”. Seems like she wanted to share her side of things which would have been nice to hear. But J and Tank did a good job, not asking any messy questions lol this was surprisingly a good episode.
I said the same thing!! I believe she is struggling to find her identity after being married to him, hence she titled HER biography book after HIS album… and her still using his last name even though he is now on his 3rd wife. She comes off as if she hasn’t fully moved on, because if she did she did she would have only mentioned him when asked, and they never did.
@@myalistjourney4742According to the 56 likes and the 2 other comments its not just me lol and when I say she wanted to talk about Usher, I think she wants a big platform where she can sit down and tell her side of the story about everything that happened with Usher. I never said its anything wrong with it, cause I would definitely watch but my point was J and Tank never asked that question or asked her to speak on it.
She styled Usher for 8 years. And she has children with him, is she not allowed to talk about him? Why are yall so bothered by Ushers stylist and ex-wife, who has children with him talking about him?
I know Usher is a legend. & yes, he married her & they had kids, but come on...he just married his most recent children's mother...why keep his last name???? She said in another interview, she earned it...(she & who knows how many others)...REALLY?? Her God given name is not good enough???
No lie I was shocked when Tank and J said they did not know Before I Met You by Usher. That song is good af. But this episode was very informative and well needed. The way the artist looks and carry themselves is the first thing we see as a consumer. And Ms. Tameka you are definitely a fashion icon love. Really enjoyed this episode 💙💙
I enjoyed hearing from someone in another area of music. She's so poised and honest while bringing her knowledge. Couch conversation was very unique and definitely needed.!
Salaam to Tank, and J Valentine for this episode!! Salute to Tameka Raymond sharing her story! Her contributions to the culture(via fashion) are commendable!!
I had my reservations about watching this episode, because I didn’t see the connection to RnB outside of the Usher connection, so I’m pleasantly surprised listening to her story.
Does this mean Usher will be next on R&B Money Podcast because he is going everywhere but here so far. So for the respect of the R&B Culture and with an album out he needs to be Coming Home to R&B Money Podcast. The Authority on all things R&B...Ooooh yeeeeeah or oooooooohhhh yeeeaaaaaahhh?
Beautiful interview! Much respect to all of you. I’m from the Town & always wondered what her demeanor was like. I see why Usher love her. I wanna buy her books now. Blessings. 🫶🏾
Such a good episode! The styling of our fave R&B Legends and Icons is def. an important element of all-things R&B. I enjoyed learning quite a few things about Tameka's legendary contributions to (& presence) in the R&B world and also learning some cool things about Tameka's early influences as well. Well done as always R&B Money Family.
You should get Patty Labelle, she was already on drink champs. You should get Her. That would be a very loud and interesting interview if you have not already had her on
I was side-eyeing this episode because she's Usher's ex-wife, but this was a great episode. I didn't not know she was the stylist behind all those stars to include Usher. She's definitely great at what she does!
You learn something new everyday. I didn’t know she was a stylist. I was reluctant to watch this episode but I didn’t wanna miss anything either. Good episode!!!
I'm a huge fan of Tameka, her story and perseverance💯🥰👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾and by the way, Here I Stand is my all time favorite Usher album which she played a pivotal role is the songs, styling and feeling....KEEP SHININ' QUEEN👑👸🏾💅🏾👠💄💎💍👜👗
Before I Met You really is a banger!!! I'm mad people be sleeping on Usher's music so much, but the king has risen in full force! Never too late to catch up!!!
I knew from the promo we were not going to get through this pod cast w/o hearing Usher's name 50/11 times! Anywho, it was a good interview. Didn't know she had a client list like that. Think I'll go check out her leisurewear line. In the meantime, please put Selena Johnson, Shanice Wilson, Brandy, Jasmine Sullivan, Silk & Tony Terry on the guest list!!!
Love how this show is expanding to all aspects on the business. I would agree styling is very important. Really like this interview. We didn't get to know much about Tameka besides being married to Usher and the tragedy of her son. There is a strong soul right there!
Tank and J ... is so professional on how to keep Guess on point ... love that its EVERYTHING R&B ...Good Interview i love this podcast... the absolute Best
I would love to see R&B groups of the 90's like 112, Intro, Jagged Edge, H-Town, and Men of Vizion, please can we get Intro on here because Kenny Greene had the songwriting skills and vocals on lock!!!
Thank you @RnBMoneyPodcast and Ms. Foster Raymond for acknowledging Monica and her iconic style. Since her 1st video. She is definitely in my female voltron for style. And she is still killin the fashion game with her kids. --And p.s. 100th episode, same ol G. 😁 Cuz yall keep dropping all the stories & shenanigans...
This was cool because this is also a part of the entertainment industry behind the scenes that I’m interested in knowing about. The timing was perfect and I’m sure intentional on their part. Excellent work!
Beautiful interview great contribution to the R&B money podcast canon and to the culture. It gives respect to those album covers we love to look at when we buy the records. Great guest R&B money hit Gold with this episode.🎉🎉🎉
Tank, where is the sponsorship for your show? Who's microphones are those? What keyboard is that you're playing? Whose clothes are you wearing, if we're going to talk about image. I love the show, I just hadn't heard any sponsorship on here.
I would love to see LYFE JENNINGS on here. He has a story to tell, there's been a lot of rumors and speculation. I wud love for him to tell his own story !! Huge fan of Lyfe!!
To me if the music is good, I don’t care what you look like. A great beat and vocals can stop you dead wherever you are. Especially in this streaming age where I’m hearing new music in my ears more than visually. That said overall image in the wider business space is very important and it was great to hear about how it all works and her life in the industry.
No that’s just my truth. The music industry requires a certain image, to hit certain magazines and tv shows, to generate more publicity to generate more exposure and revenue. But I don’t care what you look like if the song is bad and if the song is good I’m still singing along if you are just stood in a jeans and t shirt. This goes further when artists are moving globally. Do I care if you are wearing a brand that I’ve never heard of or can purchase in my area? Or that just isn’t fashionable or appropriate attire in my country? As I said this is not however dismissing her work or creativity in crafting some of the most successful styling in R &B.
Jazmine Sullivan is mentioned at least 1 time PER EPISODE. Might need to get her on here
No brainer.
HELLOOOO BEEN SAYING THIS SINCE 2nd episode ! MYGIRLLLL
She is masculine to me but her skin smooth
Tameka is not a "natural beauty". She got a lot of work done.
No shes not! Classy.@MrsRayford16
That guy who works for Fantasia is killing the game!
Damn sho is!
Also J Bolin. He gave SWV the grown and sexy look🎉
Now "THAT" is a "FASHION KILLA" & VISIONARY, this woman is nomore than just AVERAGE in the styling department!!!
Big facts
Tasha used to dress cheap but it is clear her style has been elevated head to toe. It’s now high end, unique, and classy most times.
I would say they should have Misa Hilton and June Ambrose on the show too. Their impact is legendary.
Totally agree!
Yes I thought of both of them.
I guess so since they seemed to have shifted in that direction. They would both be good.
Come on!!!! Say their names sis!!!
Since they’re switching up, I would also love to see a couple choreographers. Fatima Robinson and Laurie (can’t recall Laurie’s last name). I think the’d have some wonderful conversations.
Style is not just what you wear, it's the manner in which you do things... Barzzzzzz ‼️
Okay! ❤
I love Tameka!!!!
Y’all she was more than Usher’s ex wife. She is a Boss in her own right!
I’m glad she brought up fantasias stylist!! She’s always classy and on point ❤
I love how classy they kept it, they kept the interview about her craft and not her personal love life that she kept sneaking in there 😂
🤭🤭🤭
Book! We want dat tea!😂
That book came out over 5yrs ago… she still on a promotion tour for it I guess
Tank and J know when to add that in "Don't say no names"😂😂😂😂

Loving this. Sooo many people don't know her impact on the culture of R&B. "ALL THINGS R&B" and that includes fashion!
Love hearing her perspective about style. It's not about just putting on a designer. "It's a demeanor, an aura, how you speak, how you move.....It's a thing, not always about style or fashion." Also loved her book, "Here I Stand" such a good read.
Always looking for a good read it's a WHOLE VIBE ❤😂

I agree ... she kept saying stuff but They kept it Professional...proud of them
It is YOU. People were waiting for her to mention Usher and she only did like she did others, him as a client.
I said the same thing!! Love how Tank & J kept it about her career! She was definitely dropping Usher name every chance she got!!! 😅
She has two sons by him.
J, and Tank always keep it professional. They never ask about personal stuff. But she clearly wanted to remind everyone about USHER 😂.
That was her first major styling client. A HUGE part of her career, plus she married him and had children with him.
I know Usher is a legend. & yes, he married her & they had kids, but come on...he just married his most recent children's mother...why keep his last name???? She said in another interview, she earned it...(she & who knows how many others)...REALLY?? Her God given name is not good enough???
Thirsty
This was fun episode! Ms. Tameka knows her craft🔥❤️ I feel Tank and J need some type of sitcom or reality show! They are hilarious together 😂😂😂
Interesting timing 🧐
😂😂😂😂 riiiight
Great timing! Her new reality show premieres on the 15th.
I said the same thing 🙄....😂
Very..know usher got the Superbowl show to do 😅..imma let Tameka speak but ATP what does she have to talk about besides usher 🤨
@@Mone333Williams Did you watch the interview?
I appreciate episodes like this because it highlights how many components make R&B the greatness that it is!
I love the versatility on this show. Great interview
Her client list is impressive ❤
Extremely
They need to have Terrell on the show and/or go on his show.
That would definitely be a good show
That would be AMAZING!!
No lie I was shocked when Tank and J said they did not know Before I Met You by Usher. That song is good af. But this episode was very informative and well needed. Her styling Suga Free is a huge flex if you kno you kno
I enjoyed hearing from someone in another area of music. She's so poised and honest while bringing her knowledge. Couch conversation was very unique and definitely needed.!
“Don’t give them people our Kings!” That’s right, J!
Salaam to Tank, and J Valentine for this episode!! Salute to Tameka Raymond sharing her story! Her contributions to the culture(via fashion) are commendable!!

Same thing I THOUGHT
Same!
Yes ! Please bring Patti on. I loved this episode and it makes sense . Rnb is a style and the styling of RNB is important!
Not Ginuwine wanting the Gordon Gartrell 😂
😅❤
,let's not forget Fantasia stylist he definitely matches the energy with her clothes 🔥
Stylist are crucial to an artist’s development process and success to help sell their brand!
I so love how Tameeka Honors USHER ALTHOUGH THEIR DIVORCED.
She still loves him
She’s a classy lady.
I believe he was/is the love of her life.
She definitely still loves him you can tell!😂
The slight flex on "Before I Met You"..
That entire album was practically made about her 😂😂😂
I caught that as well😅
Yep 😅❤
J & Tank in their element today! R&B Money 🗣️🔥🔥🔥

Nah respectfully usher is BiG.

I was just wondering when we see Usher on here.
Beautiful interview! Much respect to all of you. I’m from the Town & always wondered what her demeanor was like. I see why Usher love her. I wanna buy her books now. Blessings. 🫶🏾
