Stuck with M2 or not sure where to start? There's a course for that! Check out the Magento 2 Coding Kickstart course, developed & presented by yours truly! m.academy/courses/magento-2-coding-kickstart/
I’m a junior software developer and new to magento2. When I saw all of the directories I almost died. But I’m sticking with it and getting small things done. It’s extremely frustrating and I feel dumb 90% of the time. But I realized that most other developers feel the same way. I’ll continue on this journey.
Michealino, we've all felt this way when we started! Thanks for creating awareness around how you've felt; I can re-assure you that you are not alone, and that the way to see light at the end of the tunnel is to persist 💪 It definitely takes some will-power, but you'll feel so great once things start to "click". It also may take a while 😅
Man, amazing video, I fully agree with the part about learning, I have 1 certification and I am studying for the second and I do not know how to describe how much I learned already in the preparation of the first. Congrats again M.Academy is amazing!
Thanks so much Jean! Yea certifications have been dismissed for many years as not useful, but I've never heard of a developer that went through the certification process and knew less afterwards. Right?! 😋
they likely saw the certifications on your profile or resume and didn't need to ask. When I didn't have one I was asked why I didn't have it on every interview. lol
I 100% agree that you don't need a certification to be a great developer, but I also 100% disagree that they don't make you a better developer. I've always come out of a certification knowing more than when I went into it.
Absolutely, it can almost be used as sort of a baseline requirement nowadays to prune out those that aren't serious, especially if you have multiple candidates and can't decide which one to pursue.
That's another reason. If they don't see it on your resume... the first question is, why don't you have one? Was it too difficult for you? Did you not care enough to show that you know your stuff? Do you think it doesn't matter? I personally don't view it as a requirement at all, but a lot of agencies don't think this way.

Start with on part at a time, either frontend or backend. Then, study those areas first.

I have 3, but wasn`t asked about them in a job interview. And honestly, certifications doesn`t make me a better developer
as an employer, I always ask for developers that have adobe certification from my recruitment agency it just saves time.
