I agree Moni! I was constantly getting invited to Raids, which yes was nice, but took away from the hunt! They should have had Corsola and Heracross in the wild!
Some issues with the event 1. Corsola was full odds and this was not announced beforehand. Felt kind of scammy 2. Didn’t really do the battles, wasn’t interested in battling and missing incense spawns. Sounds like most didn’t complete this one. 3. For a ticketed event shinyrates were a bit low. I don’t think the permaboosted pokemon were 1/64 but lower. The gen 1 evolutions were definitely 1/64 but Chansey, Pineco, Scyther, Onix felt lower. 4. 2 minute raid lobbies and the catchscreen were kind of detrimental to incense which contained the ticketed spawns 5. Hitmontop was far too rare for the event 6. Cleffa and Igglybuff were listed as being shiny boosted but their hatchrates along with Tyrogue were abysmally low. Maybe it was because they were in 2kms and you could hatch a ton of eggs but then again it felt is little scammy.
Thank you for calling out the sheer overload of tasks! What I really wanted to do was catch shinies, not battle/raid/gift all at once, worrying that I'd miss out. Plus how many people goofed by not taking pictures or getting the photo bombs? I'm also a little miffed that I chose gold and didn't get any of the new-to-me gold exclusives. Ugh.
The Battle things were far too rare. I couldn’t find the ghost one. Took me until 4pm to find one and 7pm for 2nd and 3rd ones. Even those in cities apparently were struggling :(
I was at Universal Studios theme park and it took forEver to do that research. My dad was stuck at home all day and couldn’t do it at all. Even though there are 4 stood at the local kiddy park.
I hope you feel better soon. You are my favorite UA-cam personality because you seem like the most compassionate person. As to our experience for the Johto Tour, my husband caught three shiny Pokemon. His new one was Teddiursa, along with Gligar and the Gyarados. I caught two new ones, a Slugma and a Hoothoot, as well as 4-5 repeat shiny. It was fun, but it was also overwhelming and stressful because there was too much to do. Because of the tasks and battles, I felt like I couldn't enjoy raiding like I wanted to do. I was stressed trying to get it all done finding the correct stops. Sometimes, the stops would not register a battle, so we would have to repeat (wasted time). Twice in raids, we each got to the point where the first lobby faints, and our phones froze up so that we had to shut down and reboot and go back in. My phone is much newer than his, and these were different raids, so I'm thinking it was overwhelmed servers? I enjoyed the day overall. I do think 12 hours is too long a day. A weekend would be better to get it all done. Shiny rates were low, especially for paid events.
Overall really good experience. The 11 pages of research on those trainer battles was painful. I don't understand the mechanism they rotated in and out? My eldest struggled to find any for about 3 hours despite going around the park with 20-30 stops along the way. We ended up driving around the town via congested stops so he could finish that research. Last year they were everywhere. This year super hard to find. Need to find a nice balance. It was useful you only got the ones you needed but they needed to be more frequently available IMO... The lack of an egg collection was a blessing. The kids trade challenge was broken too. I had to log it with Ninantic and they have so far only fixed 1 of the accounts... They could do the trades. It marked as completed but didn't have a claim button (40/41 collection badge). The raids. The roaming dogs and the rotation habits. Spot on. No issues apart from the incense running out 🤣
@@sanbarcomet I also played the entire time (trying to get everything done and failing) and for the first 5 hours not a single shiny! then I did catch a few, but nothing to justify that ticket price. Worse I wasn't able to finish the research tasks despite my best efforts. Today has given me a headache. Just too much in one sense and too little in another.
Did 40 corsola raids. No shiny. Bought 2 account tickets and about $50 in coins. Completed all research prior to 9pm except celebi and evolution challenge. Completed both of those by 10:15pm. Got 20 shinies between two accounts. But only 5 that were needed. For a change all 5 were on my main account. Hatched 1 shiny that was a duplicate. I had fun but did not see one person playing the game during the entire event. The one major problem I have beyond the normal issues (lack of any shiny rate boost, too much to do and impossible to do it all without missing something) is the fact that every Ho-Oh I raided except for the 2 shinies ran away. It was better last year for me because I did not raid as much.
Didn't realize until it was night time that you had to make Eevee your buddy to evolve into Espeon and Umbreon so was upset at that. And now it's 3AM and I'm just now realizing that the battle tasks weren't for team go rocket grunts. I spent forever looking for a flying grunt before just giving up. Disappointed in the directions not being clear enough
This was too much to do in one day!!! Way too stressful. And from my own personal experience, despite starting at 9 in the morning and, with breaks, going until 9 in the evening, I just couldn't get everything done. It wasn't just a matter of time, but the fact that I can't do what I don't have an opportunity to do. Like I only saw one legendary in the wild, and snapped a picture of it as I should, but there is no way I can magic up a pictures of the other two if they don't show up. In fact for the first 5 hours I didn't catch ANY shinies AT ALL, and only got a few in the following hours! I did finish most of the collection tasks, but it was impossible for me to finish the research tasks. Part of the problem was that I was not in a city center, but way on the far edges of a greater suburban area, practically its own little town. I have no idea if the spawn rate in city centers was greater and made today doable, but anywhere that wasn't a metropolitan city center and was without that kind of concentration of gyms and stops, would certainly have a much more difficult time, if not impossible. In short, today was NOT fun, and I feel ripped off.
I loved the event (just ended for me). But there was so much to do, especially since I was hunting ho-oh for shiny and candies to max my hundo from earlier. I started with 1500 pokemon storage available but with so much to do I had to transfer a few 0*s which included a traded lediyan (and now I can't finish the evolution challenge and it was 8 pm for me when I realised and after asking on local discord for 2 hours I have decided to leave 25k XP, 3 rare candies and starpiece as it isn't achievable anymore. I'd have loved distance trades for this kind of situations.
My first catch of the event was a shiny cyndaquil! Ended up getting everything I anticipated for plus more. I had such a great day out in the city with my brother, but, I didnt see a single go trainer despite sydney being a densely populated pokestop area. It is what it is, battling was not on my to-do list anyway. Overall, I would definitely pay to play again in the future!
And by the way - in my town it was impossible to complete the 11 step grunt task - we walked and walked but only found 6 of them. I also forgot to evolve Eevee to Espeon during the daytime because I wanted to finish the tasks after the event and then it was too late. It should have been possible to finish it on the next day.
Mixed feelings for this event, shiny rates were awful, seemed like there was too much going on at once and was not worth the money especially since it was only a 1 day event....probably not going to pay for another event like this for a while....
I DID happen to get a Remoraid so very happy about that but yes, the rates were awful. Did SOOOOO many Corsola among other raids and not 1 shiny. Very few Unown spawns and no shiny obvs, did get the Phanphy and overall wasnt a bad day but still at the same time a huge disappointment to what it could have been. Cant be upset tho, it certainly wasnt terrible and always happy with new shinies, just really wanted the raid shinies to have a better rate. To top it off, Celebi IV was almost the worst, I feel like I got pranked lol
Wound up with 21 shinies, including the guaranteed Gyrados. My main complaint is that 21 shinies is a poor community day, which is half the time and free. Not saying it should be 75 shinies but 21 is low. I enjoyed the challenges but there were so many to keep track of! Overall, it was a fun day.
EVOLVE YOUR ESPEON WHEN THE EVENT STARTS. My dumb arse decided to evolve everything in the 2 hr window after it had ended... Couldn't finish it because I forgot to do Espeon and had already used the name trick.
Feel like even more of a tool because my local raid chat group were discussing all day when to do the Eeveelution to make sure it is Espeon and Umbreon, still didn't click for me, haha. Oh well, first medal i've missed besides in person events.
Yes the same experience as you. Only new shiny was Girafig. I played on 3 accounts. Did lots of Corsola raids. Too much to do. Just want to shiny check but having raids and the annoyance of having to battle trainer types so time wasting. Disappointing they made it so hard and sometimes hard to select a Pokémon as others on top. Despawns before you can get it. Like you said “didn’t press the right pixel’. Didn’t hear of anyone with shiny Remoraid at all. I did get shiny U but had already. Shiny rates were bad.
@@DC-Supreme no better than that as only see the one you are up to and can disable but my point was I wanted to shiny check mostly and these battles and raids get in the way. Also no way to do from home which I know some people who couldn’t go out to play.
I don't know about you but it was just too much and like you said, the quest lines were a mess. I completed all the field research tasks earlier and lo and behold, you need to complete several later on in the quest line and I had no more quests. Then there was trying to find the battlers - I got to ghost but I didn't see any in 9 stops despite playing all day except for food and drink. I was evolution restricted because I didn't get enough sinnoh stones so couldn't complete that. I got some good shines but I feel like I wasted so much time trying to battle grunts and find battlers and evolving, at least raiding gave decent rewards.
Today was a pretty harsh reminder that rates for paid item results, like eggs in incubators and raid bosses requiring raid passes, need to be required for them to publish like any other gambling mechanic. I really regret giving up my "free to play" stance. I don't know a single person who got a shiny Unown, Tyrogue or Corsola, and my local community is upset about it.
I couldn't get a smeargle photobomb all day. So disappointing to put all the work into keeping up with the collection challenges and get robbed by a glitch. Agree that it's too much to do in one day. Two slightly shorter days would be so much more chill.
Houston, Texas reporting in! Had a great time despite abysmal weather that kept us huddled in the warmth of the car except for occasional forays into the cold and drizzle for a bit of egg distance or approach to a gym before scurrying back for a few more cheeky car circuits around the park. I did Gold and hubby did Silver in hopes of swapping our respective shinies, but neither of us acquired the shinies of our “incense exclusive” mons like Mantine or Phanpy. I did nab a shiny Teddi that I traded to him since I already have two. I agree something is really off with the shiny odds on Corsola and Heracross. Did innumerable raids of both without a single shiny across many accounts, a bit too sus, IMHO. *However*, I loved this event! Didn’t think the many tasks were too much, but just a great variety so I felt like everything I did was achieving something or fulfilling something else! I liked being able to “turn off” the challengers once finishing that line. I was lucky enough to encounter a shiny Raikou in the wild, and caught it! Got a handful of new shinies, including a precious Girafarig, and my husband got a shiny Hitmontop as a research reward. It was a really fun day!
I had fun with my sister-in-law but I felt really drained after. The catch challenges were fine. The hunting for trainers was tedious and unneccesary. But I managed to get a shiny spinarak and shiny remoraid so I count myself pretty lucky.
I wouldn't say you were lucky Jazlin. Did you get more than one spinarak and remoraid? It's nice to have them, but I am disappointed I didn't get more because they made it sound like you'd get several so you can trade with the folks did the opposite of you!
Thank you for the blessing of safety! The world needs more positivity, excited for Johto tour it starts in just over an hour for me. You be safe yourself
Thanks for the recap! Looks like y'all had a lot of fun. I was stoked to get the shiny tyrogue, plus shiny remoraid and slugma - those were the highlights of my day. Some thoughts on the overall event: I don't mind the evolution research - it's in the spirit of the "catch 'em all" theme - but I wish it could have been something to complete within a week or so instead of on the day. I ended up knocking it out over lunch because I was paranoid that I would transfer something I needed and then get stuck, and make my inner completionist sad. As it was, I had to wait until Porygon came around again :D The gym trainers were too rare. I played on a University campus which probably has over a hundred pokestops, and I had trouble finding them all. I've been saying this since Kanto Tour - Put. Them. In. Balloons. Then the rural folks can have a crack at them as well. Props to Niantic for only switching them on when needed, and giving us the option to switch them off. Extended trading range for ticket holders for the day would have been a nice bonus. Even if they limited it to a total of four trades so we could knock out that collection challenge without scrambling around to find people. My community usually has plenty of people out and about, but we had bad weather and an Omicron surge, so I only saw a few of my friends briefly over the course of the day.
Looks like a really fun event. I wish I could have participated, but the weather here is terrible right now, and I have too many other responsibilities lately to leave home for more than an hour or so at a time. I hope everyone is getting as much out of their Johto tours as possible.
I did the whole even and been out and about in Melbourne. No new shinies.. just got repeats of old shinies... no unowns at all... feels like a let down and feels like a very dry and unsatisfactory event... I got a heap more from last year
Whenever I watch your videos, I have the biggest smile on my face. Thank you for sharing your go tour adventure. From watching the video, I feel like I’m part of the Aussie pogo crew
I don't have any friends that play & too much social anxiety to join anything & ask to be invited (even online) so my dream of getting the shiny Ho-Oh was spoiled prior to the event. I ended up going with Silver because I thought if anything at least maybe I could get shiny Miltank. I didn't though. I played from between 11am - 9pm & got a total of 5 shinies. Hoppip, Onix, Marill, Ledyba, and Phanpy. I had just gotten Hoppip on comm day so now I have 2 I guess. I didn't have anyone to trade with or Raid with but I managed to sneak into some other people's raid and get a Ho-Oh! I didn't even think I would 🥰 I didn't have one before today. I also got the Suicune walking around. I came across the Raikou but forgot to take a picture because I was so excited 😭 it fled. Saw Entei on the board but didn't click it fast enough. I overall enjoyed having a day where my family let me spend it playing a game, lol. I think there was too much to try to get done this time. Despite my inability to play the game I did try to get the stuff done that it asked me to. Also, either the game or my phone did glitch out for a few hours. I'd say about 3 hours straight around maybe 1pm-3pm(ish) EST it kept freezing so I had to keep closing it to the point where I couldn't even close out the app/game at one point so I restarted my phone. It was really weird and frustrating. If I clicked on a pokemon it would show a super zoomed in screen & I wouldn't be able to move or do anything. I guess it was an okay day.
6:45 happened to me literally 10 times yesterday trying to tap on incense mons 😂 kept hitting the ones so close to it and then when I would back out it would be gone.
I ended up getting shiny Miltank, 1 of each gender Wobb, Spinarak, 2 of 3 legendary dogs (which I already had), Magby, Scyther, and Cleffa in garbage time. Cleffa was a repeat and scyther wasn't new but needed for the shiny line, the rest were new for me.
my friend and i found that the legendary beasts were like 0 catch rate in the wild and would flee first ball unless it was shiny in which case we caught them on the 3rd ball every time. on purpose we assume. considering your suicune had a red circle with a golden razz and ultra and my shiny entei cp500 had an orange ring on a golden razz and was shiny
Love watching you and your content. I was playing in the Netherlands and the shiny rate was terrible!!!! I got 1 wild shiny for the whole event!!! I had double figures from Kanto and the go fest events . And friends from the UK were the same. Also there was too much to do in the tasks!!! Too many battles required for not much reward. And too many evolutions. Not sure how a child would be expected to finish it all in one day, I struggled!!!! I preferred last year when it was over 2 days.
@@Django84 I had a ticket, and I got 1 shiny why would I lie? You don’t get all the battle exclusive timed research without a ticket!!! I got double digit shiny counts from Kanto day and the two go fest events. Lots of people on Twitter were in a similar position
@@Django84 I know someone who literally just got the gaurtenteed shiny and one other that's it. Played 12 hours straight. Some players are extremely lucky getting tons of shinies more then ever before, but most are getting next to none. I ended up with 6. Honestly I've gotten more shinies out of a few community days combined. I think the boosted shiny rate was lower than they promised. Also it seemed overwhelming with the tasks. Collection, battling, hatching and shiny checking/raiding. Not enough time to catch for the shinies you want at each hour. I didn't finish my tasks. I'm not here to complain about the shinies I didn't receive. I'm grateful for the few ones in my deck. I just want to get what I paid for.
@@kiera791 I honestly think the event was glitched for a lot of players. I only started to find shinys the last two hours. After I completely signed out of the app and rebooted my phone. 😒
ZOEEE I JUST CAME HERE TO TELL YOU THAT I GOT TWO SHINY MILTANKS IN THE EVENT! I remembered your hunt for it from last year and the whole time I was saying ‘blue milk’ haha
My son accidentally came across a blue Miltank and called it Full Cream. I was a rambling to get the shiny hootoot and it was the first shiny I got. Very disappointed that I found out too late that I could have screen shot Entei, Raikou in the raids as that was all my son and I were missing. Missed out on that part for the 50 balls for the doggies. Overall 5 shinys plus the shiny gyrados. Last year was smashing shinys out of the park and completed it all over the two days. This year felt rushed and like we getting punished after the hear us Niantic I could be wrong but as a ticket holder from both years it just felt frustrating and difficult for the event this year. Overall...it was quite Blase and like a half hearted attempt at something that was supposed to be great but was mediocre at best.
I agree with alot of the other comments. It was a fun day but very disappointing there was way too much going on and not very good shiny luck. By the end of the day I had a few but only 2 of the ones I was wanting to get and my partner got significantly less shinies than me. Not sure if we are going to play next year's.
I played in a very famous park to play PoGo in my country called Ibirapuera and it was easy to do all the tasks. From the new shiny ones I got one Phanpy and after 54 raids, I was the only one in my group of 7 that caught a shiny Corsola. They did almost the same amount as me and there were a lot of players around us and only my friend saw one getting, so I think it was full odds. The rest was all repeats and that was rough because I needed things like Ladyba family, male Wobbuffet, males Wooper, Hoothoot, and Teddiursa family. I'm really glad that I got my shiny Corsola. I didn't have high expectations because Kanto tour was also difficult for shinies in my account. But for my friends last time was really good, this time we were all on the same boat, caught 2 or 3 of the new shinies tops. I heavily depended on my Plus, doing raids took a lot of time and I wish I could have clicked more myself on the pokémon. At least I clicked on the Phanpy I got. My shiny total was 25, four of them were hatched and I hatched around 150 but no Tyrogues.
my shiny haul was: a spinarak, 2 teddiursura, a pineco, aipom, 2 wobbuffet, a shiny snubbull, a sneasel, the gyrados, a larvitar, and absol from a random special task which was pretty cool and the three absolute wins were a shiny ho oh on my first and only raid, a shiny golbat, and a shiny mantine. really happy given i slept through the first two hours lol
Overall good day, 12 shinys, 7 new so was happy with that! Only thing that annoyed me, apart from being overwhelmed with how much there was to do, was I sat down in the evening to do the evolution part and hadn't evolved Eevee to espeon so couldn't complete it! And my go plus failed a shiny spinark :(
21 shinies including 9 that were brand new. I failed on eggs a lot. There was so much to do that I honestly forgot to put on a new incubator sometimes.
did get only 7 shinies and only 4 new shinies. All shinies had terrible ev. No shiny legendary and forgot to evolve eevee to espeon during the day only remembered when i evolved it to umbreon when it was too late. Regret paying the 12,99 € plus the whole set of egg hatchers. Didn't find the ghost battler even tho there are like 8 gyms and 20 pokestops in my area
That happened to me too on the espeon, that felt all kinds of wrong because of course you are going to wait till days end to do the evolving. We needed a second day!
I got all 4 of my version exclusives(i chose silver) as shiny before any other shinies :D I also got 2 Larvitars, a raikou, pineco, and seadra(all new shinies for me) along with a few others
Disappointing event - I chose the gold version because I really wanted shiny Teddiursa, but I only saw like 20 Teddiursa during the 12 hours. Also where does the Johto Raid task come from? I did not get that one and neither did my friend.
I got the silver for the stupid cow and didn't get one. During that hour they hardly came out. I think the only thing that made it worth while was a a shiny pampy towards the end and a 100% Scizo from the task.
The requirement to complete field research tasks is a feel-bad since it not only blocks you from getting Magical Leaf Celebi if you're in an area with sparse stops, it also blocks you from getting the collection challenge medal that includes catching Celebi. This event in its entirety is tiring and dissatisfying. :(
Was overall a solid event. I didnt get too many shiny Pokemon as the spawns for the Gold version for some reason seemed weaker for shiny odds for myself and a few buddies that also did it. My son raked in the shinnies though on the Silver version. Tasks were great for restocking balls and incense but overall way too much to get done between trying to raid which greatly cuts into shiny checks, research tasks and then the normal grind. Got the shiny cow x2 and remoraid so I call it a success. Didnt do the eggs as my bag was always too full to spin stops. Oh and yeah I didnt have the trainers show up until like 3 hours left in the event and I was already spent so didnt finish that task
Wish I'd known you could snapshot raid Raikou as I didn't see a single one in the wild. Also didn't see and dragon trainers;.so couldn't finish that one either. In the plus column: finally, finally, finally got shiny Miltank (and, just like buses, you wait forever; then two come along) a shiny Onix, and a shiny Raikou
Great video, wheelie bin fire of an event. Shocking shiny rates, far too hectic (trainer task especially was ludicrous) and the least said about the Eevee requirements for the evolve task the better
Really happy about it. Both Ty and hitmontop shiny. Also unown R shiny. So currently on 4 unown shinies. Got to agree with everyone who says this should be 2 days. I failed evolving eevee at daytime, so missed 1 evolution on the whole challenge..🙄
There was definitely TOO much for one day! Forgot to evolve an Eevee during the day and never saw the last 3 trainers. New shinies were Miltank, Ledyba, Smeargle, and Poliwhirl. Caught 15 total plus late- hatched a shiny Alolan Meowth from an egg I got during the event.
Thanks for great update. Stay healthy and safe, all. My thumbnail: GoFest - delighted with the shinies I got, good pace, I could pick what I wanted to do and not feel like I was missing something. Go Tour - very frustrated with the shinies (I have several more gaps in my shiny dex now), too much in-game to complete, had to pass on so many raids with my friends because there was too much. corsola shiny rate was too low for an event like this (and starts people thinking that was a money grab when people in my circle did 15, 30, 50+ raids with no shiny)
Event was fantastic! Got the Shiny Suicune off the incense plus got the shiny Phanpy and Girafarig. On top of that got a handful of missing shinies so that was great. All in all a fantastic event.
Looking back at this I'm so glad that the following Tour events were basically just Go Fests lol There was WAY too much to do in 1 day for these events and even though I'm sad I skipped this and missed out on the Apex Shadows (and the Ho-oh wings) I feel like the shiny rates were just terrible for these events. I remember doing the Kanto tour and not getting a single one of the new shinies they introduced during it and finding out afterward that basically everything new was full odds while the only boosted stuff was shinies we'd had for years at that point.
My youngest got a Corsola and giraffarig shiny .. jealous! I got the phanpy and after I had finished GoPlus got a Remoraid...! My eldest got some nice shiny but not specifically ones he was after (Delibird, Cyndaquil). All got about 11 shiny in total
Felt a little juked with the shiny rates, the only things that really made the event for me was a shadow shiny Poliwag and a wild spawn shiny Raikou, other then that a pretty mediocre event.
Thanks for the video Zoë! I started my event last night when I got a shiny suicune from your raid invite! Half hour before my event, was nice to see what to look forward to. Congrats on the shiny Reversal 🤣
Finally got to see your video was soo busy yesterday all day Pokémon hunting ! It was my first event with my friend group and it was soooo much fun can’t wait for more e events😊😊
Good video as always! It's super wintery here now, so we weren't out and about for all of the event... got 59 shines. Like, what?! Sort of insane lol. We hope you feel better soon! Oh also, got a doduo, poliwag, and FOUR Alolan Execcutor today randomly. Doooes the luck carry over?
My end result was 26 shinies, three of them brand new to me (Phanpy x4, HootHoot, and Wooper). Traded for shiny Spinarak and shiny Bunnelby (both from my boyfriend). Super thrilled, because this event was super fun. Congratulations on the Giraffarig Zoë.
3 people in my entire city got corsola. I did 110 raids myself and didnt get one. I was the only one with shiny unown, but an O, dex entry personally, but not a new shiny unown wise. Our group that played had around 20-25 people total. We did a total of around 1000 corsola raids. And netted 2. So not great odds, , , so yes, this wasnt announced beforehand which we felt kind of cheated by. In the end, i chose silver, and got miltank (2), the shiny i wanted most. No phanpy, but got a remoraid.
I ended with 24 shiny even though I only played 7 hours of the 12. the only thing I was not able to do was the trade collection challenge, was missing a mantine.
Missed the first hour due to work got 22 shinies 10 new: Girafarig, shuckle, phanpy ×2, mantine (trade), cleffa, unown G, miltank, ledyba & slugma) & a 4 star smoochum. My apex ho-oh is 13/13/15
I think the legendary dogs just came out for people to take a snapshots because hardly anyone I knew caught one. It was always a one and done goldenrazz and ultra lol 🤣
Hi Zoe. Hope you are well. Thanks for the nice vid, as usual. Can you do a separate one about your personal Johto tour experience please? I would like to know your views about the format of the event. I'm sure you have tons to say and it will be very insightful. Thank you xx
I hope you are feeling better soon! I had a disappointing day. I really wanted shiny Militant, Girafarig, Phanpy and Teddiursa. I didn't get any. I went out alone and didn't have the best luck today.
The event just ended here in Uruguay and I got a total of 39 shinys, 3 of them being Milktank and I’m so excited! Exhausted tho but stoked tbh. Got to complete some shiny families and on others, got the whole shiny fam today. Got the shiny cute elephant and the giraffe who is gorgeous btw. Hope everyone had a great go tour, I really enjoyed it! All the love from Uruguay, Zoe! 🇺🇾
I came away with 17 shinies.(counting guaranteed Gyarados) 10 were repeat shinies (3 of which helped complete a shiny family; the rest I didn't really need at all) I was particularly flabbergasted at reluctantly clicking one single Eevee to complete the collection challenge, and of course it was shiny.😅 Of the 7 new shinies only two were brand new released for the event.(Phampy and Remoraid) Was still very happy to get two shiny Slugma, and to finally get Wobbafet and Ho-Oh after many raids. Never got the shiny Corsola. Kind of a bummer to hear it may not have had boosted odds. All the same, I don't mind having battled and caught so many. I'm thinking ahead to the eventual release of Cursola, so it wasn't bad to collect a bunch of Corsola candy for evolution down the line.
This was one of the most disappointing events that we have had to pay for. Haven't seen anyone in NZ that got a shiny corsola. Unsure what time they turned on the corsola shiny or the unown shinies. I know people playing 12 hours and getting 6 or less. The battle system was terrible.
I think it was too much to do - I was out for a lot of the day - 22 shinies in total - yay! BUT this evening I was driving around trying to find my battle leader for about an hour and a half. I gave up and went home with half an hour to spare. I only claimed the battle button with 5 minutes of the event to go, and that's when I found the battle leader. I assumed that it was the same as the other battles. I got Phanphy 15 minutes into the event, Sudowoodo, Girafarig, Togepi, and Pineco among others. Shiny Miltank fled :(
Love these events but they need to be 2 days cause all the raiding and battles take away from wild checks and end up wasting the incense
I agree Moni! I was constantly getting invited to Raids, which yes was nice, but took away from the hunt! They should have had Corsola and Heracross in the wild!
Absolutely. Agreed 100%
Some issues with the event
1. Corsola was full odds and this was not announced beforehand. Felt kind of scammy
4. 2 minute raid lobbies and the catchscreen were kind of detrimental to incense which contained the ticketed spawns
5. Hitmontop was far too rare for the event
Ugh.
i didnt even encounter entai and played for 6 houres
@@mr.flupsurf2860 same!
I agree, They were definitely too difficult to find
Same here totally agree
i did go for finding shinys, that battles takes to much time for to less rewards
I had the same problem. Couldn't find the dragon one even with plenty of Pokestops around so I didn't get to finish it :(
I hope you feel better soon.
Spot on. No issues apart from the incense running out 🤣
I feel like something was wrong with the shiny rates, fun was had regardless
Dude totally! Was catching for 2 hours straight and only caught one shiny Ledyba. And I purchased the ticket!
Same I played the full 9 to 9 with a ticket and incense and found one shiny. Maybe I just have bad luck.
True I got 22 shinys sooo bad of a catch rate I played the full 9 hours
I mean 12 hours
I agree, wasnt getting many shinies at all. Also so many things were spawning that didn't have increased odds.
Yea same after playing the full 12 hrs I only got ) shinys
I agree too much research was distracting from the grind
I tried getting a shiny corsola the entire event, and I didn't get it even though I did 20+ raids
The shiny rates were garbage for some people. I got 33 shinies but my friend who played as long as me only got 6 :/
I spend most of the free passes on corsola and nothing....
That’s because they kept Corsola at full odds for raids and not the usual 1 in 25. The fact that they didnt announce that made me a little upset.
My favorite, relax after work hobby. Thank you Zoe
Im just under half way through the event with 16shiny pokes so far including Golbat, Remoraid, Spinarak ect!
EVOLVE YOUR ESPEON WHEN THE EVENT STARTS.
My dumb arse decided to evolve everything in the 2 hr window after it had ended... Couldn't finish it because I forgot to do Espeon and had already used the name trick.
Me too!! 😱😭😭😭
Worse than go tour Kanto?
The battle trainer isn't annoying at all this year we have to battle only 7 times then we get the option to disable the trainers
@@DC-Supreme no better than that as only see the one you are up to and can disable but my point was I wanted to shiny check mostly and these battles and raids get in the way. Also no way to do from home which I know some people who couldn’t go out to play.
Shiny Remoraid is definitely real lol.
@@rim_on7362 Yes, but it took all day. I happily turned the Trainers off . . . at 8:30pm!
Shiny rate was low 😳✨
Thanks for this Zoey my Wife really loves you a bunch!
Shines for Everyone! Cheers!
@@RJboyz20 I only got one of each. I'm in the Asia-Pacific region so I felt like Niantic only boosted the shiny in the last 4 hours for us.
Thank you for the blessing of safety! The world needs more positivity, excited for Johto tour it starts in just over an hour for me. You be safe yourself
I too am grateful for this and I’m glad because at the moment I have covid but I got 22 shinies
Ya sane
Thanks for the recap! Looks like y'all had a lot of fun. I was stoked to get the shiny tyrogue, plus shiny remoraid and slugma - those were the highlights of my day.
Some thoughts on the overall event:
I don't mind the evolution research - it's in the spirit of the "catch 'em all" theme - but I wish it could have been something to complete within a week or so instead of on the day. I ended up knocking it out over lunch because I was paranoid that I would transfer something I needed and then get stuck, and make my inner completionist sad. As it was, I had to wait until Porygon came around again :D
The gym trainers were too rare.
If it's any consolation you didn't miss much. The shiny odds felt so low that the ticket wasn't a justifiable purchase imo. ✌️
Simpp
The Aussie sqaud just seems like such a good laugh. Proud of the gang for getting after it and having a good time.
It was a very very stressful Johto events ever!!!!
Out of the event I got a corsola and a few other one but no legendary and I only got one tyrogue but it did get me to level 41.
my friend and i found that the legendary beasts were like 0 catch rate in the wild and would flee first ball unless it was shiny in which case we caught them on the 3rd ball every time. on purpose we assume. considering your suicune had a red circle with a golden razz and ultra and my shiny entei cp500 had an orange ring on a golden razz and was shiny
Let me guess you have no ticket or incense?Because 1 Wild Shiny I cant believe you sorry.I know you said the truth but wow
This 💯💯
@@kiera791 I honestly think the event was glitched for a lot of players.
Yayyyyy congrats!!!
I did too
@@colleengrantt thank you ❤️ ✨
I got one too and I called her "Blue Moo".
This year felt rushed and like we getting punished after the hear us Niantic
I could be wrong but as a ticket holder from both years it just felt frustrating and difficult for the event this year.
Overall...it was quite Blase and like a half hearted attempt at something that was supposed to be great but was mediocre at best.
Shinys were very few and far between did 9-9 and got 10 ..
Least I got a blue cow so I was happy
I agree with alot of the other comments. It was a fun day but very disappointing there was way too much going on and not very good shiny luck. By the end of the day I had a few but only 2 of the ones I was wanting to get and my partner got significantly less shinies than me.
Not sure if we are going to play next year's.
This looks so much fun only 1 hour till my tour can’t wait
SAME
Same, wishing shiny luck!
I think I’m really lucky with this event because I am in the region where both heracross and corsola spawn
Riiiight?! Me too, ive seen people really excited getting them and feels weird because i had assumed they were common!
LITERALLY the best thing that we have both and can save remote raid pass:]
I thought Corsla wasn't spawning in the wild during the tour. If that's the case then I'm excited because Corsla is everywhere in Texas.
@@fanofpink it's not spawning but nice to know your a Texan as well! :]
Oh you must be on the coast of Texas
Overall good day, 12 shinys, 7 new so was happy with that! Only thing that annoyed me, apart from being overwhelmed with how much there was to do, was I sat down in the evening to do the evolution part and hadn't evolved Eevee to espeon so couldn't complete it! And my go plus failed a shiny spinark :(
I haven’t evolved my eevee during the day and have used the name trick already, is there any way I can still get the Espeon at night?
Same problem here... I need to take now a fight to the US to go into daylight timezone...
@@Snoopsti it sucks, literally the only reason I won’t be able to complete the task
@@dazeyday5699 I hope there will be a refund event
I got all 4 of my version exclusives(i chose silver) as shiny before any other shinies :D
I also got 2 Larvitars, a raikou, pineco, and seadra(all new shinies for me) along with a few others
Bro she just said oh shiny Gary I would have been like OH MY GOSH OU MY GOSH AHDGSBEHDY IM JUNMPING IN THAT LAKE
I think shiny Corsola wasn’t turned on my friend did 42 corsola raids at not one shiny I did 26 and nothing
Glad your feeling a little better.
Your videos are always so fun and helpful. Please take it easy and stay safe
Really happy about it. Both Ty and hitmontop shiny. Also unown R shiny. So currently on 4 unown shinies. Got to agree with everyone who says this should be 2 days. I failed evolving eevee at daytime, so missed 1 evolution on the whole challenge..🙄
yeah i agree, no evolution task. i didnt finish my evolution task bcs i forgot to evolve espeon huhu
I suggest you to zoom in and enlarge the screen when many pokemon are in the same place. This will minimize the chances you tap on the wrong pokemon.
Even doing that zoo. So hard to select the Pokémon you wanted at times as the mons on top of each. A common observation with others today.
Thanks for the tip!
Feel better! Hahaha Alan shiny luck is the best! 🤣🎉✨💖
Congratulations on your picture being featured in the Pokemon GO app!
Played from 9am till 9pm (in NL), caught 4(!) shinies, which I think was very poor. But I had a great day outside!
I got an Unown U in a raid, defiantly full odds or higher on incense. Same for Corsola only 1 in our Group got one.
Something for ninantic suggestion box is to make shiny rates higher on raids on event days.
Togepi brings me back to your first ever shiny Togepi hatch!! You should make a short of that.
I am jealous for the people that have good weather today on go tour. While me living in Texas is slipping and sliding in snow 😭
I ended with 24 shiny even though I only played 7 hours of the 12. the only thing I was not able to do was the trade collection challenge, was missing a mantine.
You are so right… too many things to check and do in different parts of Pokemon Go. Was fun but I could not complete it
Evolve your espeon before the sun goes down!!! I forgot to do this 😭😭😭😭
Missed the first hour due to work got 22 shinies 10 new: Girafarig, shuckle, phanpy ×2, mantine (trade), cleffa, unown G, miltank, ledyba & slugma) & a 4 star smoochum.
Hatched my 2nd shiny magby So excited...
I came away with 17 shinies.(counting guaranteed Gyarados)
10 were repeat shinies (3 of which helped complete a shiny family; the rest I didn't really need at all)
I was particularly flabbergasted at reluctantly clicking one single Eevee to complete the collection challenge, and of course it was shiny.😅
Of the 7 new shinies only two were brand new released for the event.(Phampy and Remoraid)
Was still very happy to get two shiny Slugma, and to finally get Wobbafet and Ho-Oh after many raids.
Great video. Totally agree WAY too much to do and check and keep on top of
This was one of the most disappointing events that we have had to pay for. Haven't seen anyone in NZ that got a shiny corsola. Unsure what time they turned on the corsola shiny or the unown shinies. I know people playing 12 hours and getting 6 or less.
The battle system was terrible.
I am so jealous of your shiny wooper just because I like the Pokémon itself, I only got to check him 7 times so I wasn’t expecting much
Small tip- the journal will tell you what the task was that you claimed in your research.
I didn’t get the ticket but I got shiny mareep, shiny sunkern, shiny sentret, shiny scyther and a hundo chansey
I really like shiny girararig but I didn’t get it, I got shiny pineco, shiny chancey, and shiny lugia without the ticket
Only seen one shiny cosala in our area in discord. My group we did maybe 40 of those raids and nothing lol
I got 3 Phanpy... Phanmily complete and a spare 👀
Shiny Miltank fled :(
I hatched a shiny Elekid. My only shiny of the day. I came across a few wild Raikou's but even with excellent throws and golden rasberry, they fled :(
