Thank you! I fly in on Friday morning and this has made my decision much easier as to who to rent with. Bit let down by the Avis selection - National seems like the way to go
@@MrABEEED I work for Avis in the Orlando area and I don’t even rent from Avis unless it’s a huge price difference. Hertz is still worse then Avis but National is so so much better then Avis. Avis service isn’t as great as National and the quality of cars is much worse. Like I said if there’s a big price difference then Avis might be worse it but if price isn’t a issue then National 100%.
As someone works for Avis in the Orlando area the fleet isn't bad but not as good as Enterpise or National. Lots of auction cars and some Fleet issues with Avis still. Most pick up trucks from Avis are used auction trucks as well as the Lexuses. The Landrovers and Genesis are pretty new still as well as Avis now has 2023 Kia Suvs.
@@GarryBR11 You might luck out but Avis still has a lot of 2020 full size SUVs or more common are the Ford Expedition. Melbourne is a smaller location so more then lucky you won’t have a new Tahoe. Maybe a new body style but it will probably be a older 2021 model.
This is super helpful!!!! Do you know what Budget has in its full size SUV fleet? Sample car is a Suburban but I'm wondering what else we might get in PHX
Rented from Budget Orlando in April. HUGE MISTAKE! Will never rent from them again. Gouged me on insurance and tolls. Nobody answers the phone at customer service. BUDGET SUCKS!
No worries they are most likely on the road. If you have a reservation for one they should hold one for you. Although I haven't rented from Avis in ages so I don't have any recent experience. At YYZ I almost always rent with National/Alamo/Enterprise.
I’ve noticed at airport rental car centers the attendants have them on while moving vehicles around I guess as a safety procedure so they’re more visible to airline passengers and others in the facility.
It's pretty rare to see anything other than a Pacifica or a Carvan but I did see something different recently at YYZ I believe it was in the Avis aisle. Perhaps it was the Kia.
Do anyone know if the Skip the Counter option is available for Avis on MCO airport? Just wandering if I can go straight to pick up the car instead of waiting on the line. tks
Do u work at Avis? I am planning on renting thru Avis. When we r charged per day, does that mean a 24 hour period? So if i pick up at 9:00pm and drop it off same time the next day, I will only be charged for 1 day, correct? How does the toll fee work?
Nope I don’t work for any of the rental companies. One day is 24 hours and you can set your pickup and return times to the same time. I would suggest looking into picking up a sun pass transponder once you are down there to avoid the car rental platepass admin fees. Great question I should do a video explaining this with the tolls and how they work.
Thank you!

Always National
Couldn't agree with you more. National/Enterprise/Alamo are the way to go.
@@CarRentalGuy could you guys tell why national is better. I was planning on Avis. Thank you!

Thanks for watching and for the info!
How about full size suvs? I’m hiring one and picking up from Orlando Melbourne airport towards end July. Hoping for a nice new Tahoe
My question for you is can I except a nice jaguar or close to that if I do the premium series?? Thanks!
@@MrABEEED Honestly whatever you get will more then likely be a auction car. Most of the Luxury SUVs are high miles or older auction cars.

Recently had an Infiniti QX80 at Avis MCO - lots of toys but very thirsty

Are you able to choose your vehicle, similar to National? Does it depend on status? President's Club only?
Can you do Thirfty on the B side Orlando ? Just want to see what they have
Can u do PBI macarthur and tpa airports with avis havent seen it in a long time

Perfecto gracias
Didn't see a lot of full size suvs there :(

Yeah they don’t have a lot. If you book one you will definitely get one with at least 20,000 plus miles on it. Some are as high as 60,000 miles
I wonder why some of the cars have the 4 way flashers turned on?
I’ve noticed at airport rental car centers the attendants have them on while moving vehicles around I guess as a safety procedure so they’re more visible to airline passengers and others in the facility.
It means that the cars need to be logged in the system
We rented from budget in December at this location. Never again.
Have you seen any Kia carnivals in the minivan aisles?
It's pretty rare to see anything other than a Pacifica or a Carvan but I did see something different recently at YYZ I believe it was in the Avis aisle. Perhaps it was the Kia.
Avis At MCO has very few. They are about 2 months old.
Edit. Avis actually just got in some brand new ones a week ago.

I believe so but it was my first time there so they had to verify me first
First time ever using the Avis service*

23,000 miles in 3 days huh? Avis should start reporting their rental cars as stolen, Hertz?
