I've seen a couple user settings from other D2 players and still learned something here. Using notepad to adjust the latency and mouse smoothing is good info.
You don't get benefits if your monitor isn't capable of progressing the extra fps. So use framerate cap at the maximum of your monitor to not overcharge your gpu/cpu
When auto melee first released there were some bugs with it. Maybe he's still skeptical of it not messing up his gameplay. Also, some weapons benefit from being manually fired, like Last Word, Forerunner?, and I think any weapon with Tap the trigger.
