I always hear these Cavers saying “getting stuck is actually a very rare occurrence.” So is getting swallowed whole by a reticulated python, but I’m not about to go wrestle one.

Getting through a hole like that would be horrible enough. Knowing that's the only way out, and that you'll have to go through again, makes this nightmarish.

When I started watching these films I had to turn off half way, but now I can get through. But I would never never never do it myself, NEVER !
A tight cave with stalacnites. Switch off your lamps for a minute and hear the sound deep into mother earth and the echos of the water drops. Thats amazing! Iam looking forward to april. When the bats are out of winter sleep and the caves are open again!

I do. Unfortunately it's winter season and German caves must not be entered to not disturb hibernating bats.
I was fine watching this Right up until I saw one of them start struggling a little to get there arms out of the hole... oh boy anxiety went THROUGH THE ROOF
I would have a damn panic attack and feel like I'm running out of air in here. No way. Not me.

Imagine crawling downwards and saw a hole full of water, and that's the end of it.

Imagine crawling downwards and then you start sliding down until your head bangs against the mummified body of somebody else. At least you don't die alone.
Imagine being stuck in a tight space like this, horizontally, with your arms by your side, and then water starts flooding the tunnel.
Imagine being stuck with your hands by your side while going down such a tight space. Then your brother who tries to pull you out slips and accidentally pushes you even further. Then you‘re stuck for hours until more help arrives. Then the rescue team realises that they needa pulley system. Then that pulley system fails just when they are about to make some significant progress and you get stuck even more, so much so that your body can‘t bear it anymore and you finally succumb to the 28 hours of torture you‘ve been through since you first got stuck.

Ohh my god! I am super claustrophobic. Love caves though. Large aery caves where you can walk inside, maybe bend down a little when you go from one area to the next. If i had to choose this or a lifetime in prison, i would have chosen the prison

My worst nightmare fairplay for doing that makes me feel sick watching there is ne chance of me deeing that ne way you'd be bolloxed if you got stuck
Also ich persönlich konnte beim zuschauen echt schwer atmen und musste zwischen durch abschalten und runter kommen

Awesome! Finally a caving video where people are wearing helmets and proper clothing. I wish I was there right now!
Schutzs Staffel as a caver I can say that a helmet is an essential piece of equipment, it’s quite common to bump your head on the ceiling and if you’re not wearing a helmet your head would be covered in scratches. if you need go to take it off to fit through a squeeze that’s ok, but put it back on once you’re out. And for the clothing, it depends on where you are caving. In hotter climates a cave might be quite warm, so short clothes is acceptable, but where I go the caves are about 17 Celsius, so you have to wear coveralls or long old clothes, or when you stop you will get cold easily. And the argument of they might get snagged is very valid, but I would rather my caving suit take the scrapes instead of my skin.

When it's really really narrow. Your shoulders are too wide so you have to have one arm down by your waist and the other one in front of you This way you can proceed by your fingers and toes

I like cave exploring. Can't imagine why so many people is so scared about it or critizise doing it. Caves are one of the fewest places where you really can dissappear from the sad world that is outside. No phones, no emails, no your boss, no nothing. Believe me, the pain is outside, no inside the cave.
You need to work on your life if you're so sad. I don't feel the need of running away from the "sad world"
