Cool video! I have that Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM running in my Mac Pro from 2006 and it sounds identical. I thought there would be more difference to be honest, even considering they are the same model. I also have a 1TB WD Caviar Blue in there for additional storage, love the sounds that drive makes too. Have a good day :D
i have the secound drive you shown us in my nas running its opitation system true nas never had problems with this drive yet running it for about a year now and for data storage a random mix of 6 used 2 tb hdd with are still all working fine i can lose up to 2 drives and lose no data
This is the sound of those crusty old school computers
the amount of nostalgic noises my autistic ass gets from this is too much.

Very nice! I think I can remember most of these drives. The Maxtor was one that failed me quite often, but I might be mistaken. Thank you for sharing!
Quantum Fireball. Nostalgic sound.
The WD RE3 makes the same noises as my 6400AKKS
This is one of the more interesting things I've seen today thank you I guess I really did learn something new today
Glad to hear it!

Noisy, but... unreliable.
