We have 3 land cruiser one is from 1990s and another from 2005 and recent one 2017. Believe me this machines run forever. The 1990s still running strong with 5 speed manual all it needs is 1 oil change and servicing every year. Take care of this car in terms of servicing and it will run forever. Like every car maintaining the car is important.
Involved in a fatal head on in my 2012 Prado, it completely protected me, front wheel under my feet engine gone sideways. Had no hesitation in replacing it with a 2016 model.
I had ford, I had Gm, I had chrysler none of them last as long as my matrix! My ex wife only drive toyota- never had any issues. But, yes I had 1 recall on my matrix never had any problems with it though. It starts up everytime I go to work that's what matters.
I take it you hate Toyota lol! I love that it appears to be the most reliable car on the planet and affordable. Its just corny looking, they made only 1 hot car and that was the 2007 -2011 Camry. The new Camry 2012 looks just as small & weak as a corolla

American cars are not built for longevity. The only thing about American cars they look nice but, they are not dependable. They cars that are manufacture in the U.S. are not durable just design to keep an auto mechanic wealthy. My matrix is my first foreign car and it out last any car I ever had. 217,000 (2005), not one repair other than routine maintenance. I gave every American car a chance and all it did was milk my pockets in repairs. My pontiac issues fresh off the lot, ford killed me

Toyota is issue free, i have a 05 matrix with more than 200000 miles on it but they lack style
