I've been listening to every one of these. I have many books about Maigret...these radio plays are wonderful. Please post more! I love the actors, Maurice Denham and Michael Gough, great voices! Michael Gough was Lord Delamere in out of africa, these British actors are the best!

The saddest part of this little play is when the other inspector who shared with Maigret about the step-son, “They’ve been on bad terms for years.” This is what’s happening to me. My husband’s daughter, she doesn’t call me her step-mother, just her father’s wife. We just don’t know how much our spouse’s children, from previous marriages, may resent us when we marry their parent. I pray for her just about every day. Very sad.
Let her be a monster, she has a lot of growing up to be an adult to even worry about. Don't let them see you sweat 😅

I just can't listen to supposed French characters with such heavy English accents, and why doesn't the old woman sound frightened telling the Inspector that she thinks someone is trying to killing her?
