HOw do you find the min and max value?
Once you have the x coordinate of the vertex, substitute that value back in the original quadratic equation to find the y-value which is the min or max value.

To find the maximum and minimum points on the graph we need to use calculus techniques and the derivative. (That is not covered in algebra and thus this video gives us a conceptual look at max/min).
