If we do a more elaborate breakfast it’s usually on the weekend or if we’re doing breakfast for dinner. I’m in the U.S.
Facts
@Trevon Womack Isn't brunch a lunch breakfast.
@@AnnieMustange Essentially. They usually are slightly bigger and you eat them later cause they take longer to make.
Or holidays, my mom usually went all out on Easter and Christmas
Almost died from coughing -“what the hell are scallions?” 😂😂
I guess he doesn't like the cornbread either.
Just one look at them should have been sufficient to identify them to most people. lol
As an American, I obviously chow down classic American breakfast dishes on the regular. But I'm ethnic Mexican as well who grew up with Grandparents straight from the "motherland." lol So I have the advantage of eating grub from Mexico, too.
Chorizo con huevos are the go to for me. When I make it, I put an American flair to it to where I put it in a burrito with queso fresco and salsa verde. If I don't have the queso or salsa, I'll go with assorted grated cheeses and tapatio. Hell yea. Ima go make that shit now! Eff it!
I absolutely love huevos rancheros.
You're makin' me hungry. :-)
As a Texan, I love the wide variety of breakfast burritos here!
My family is from el salvador. We usually have frijoles con huevos or tortilla.
In the U.S. it depends on where you go. I am from New York and when I moved to Arizona, I had never heard of a breakfast burrito let alone putting hot sauce on it. Well, 25 years living here I put hot sauce on just about everything.
Texas is pretty much the same, though southern homestyle is also popular.
@@randlebrowne2048 same for me but from Florida!
Yes in an area where there are latinos you are sure to have hot sauce, salsa and any spicy food like leftover enchiladas with eggs or any type of left overs with eggs and most hispanics (Mexicans) always have tortillas with all there meals they just can't seem to eat any meal w/o tortillas whether corn or flour but always tortillas! And yes mostly all mexicans have to eat some type of hot sauce/salsa or some type of spicy sauce with there food...
@@rebeccacobarrubias9547 They even seem very fond of putting chilli powder on fruit and even candy!
@@randlebrowne2048 The combination of sweet and spicy/salty flavors is a staple of Mexican candy and it's so good
Milk Soup: Exists
Luka: Coughs in disgust
Papas con chorizo when I went to Mexico is one of the best breakfast items I’ve ever had, cheers from Tennessee 🍻 liked and shared already while watching 👍👍👍
I know some people make it with scrambled eggs but potato sounds good too! All the flavor is in the sausage!
I love chorizo con wuevo. I like chorizo with potatoes aswell.
"Most popular drunk foods around the world" would be a good follow up to this!
Yeah, in japan, breakfast usually is very savory, and fishy. Also almost everything you eat for breakfast is cold. The only warm dish you might have for breakfast is miso soup.
2:32 he said tomato like a American proof British people speak normal when no one is looking
As far as I know the pronunciation varies across England.
Scallion is another name for green onion
I dropped the distinction of "breakfast foods" a long time ago & often have dinner leftovers in the morning or cereal for dinner if I'm not too hungry.
I do this quite regularly lol
Once you become an adult anything counts as a breakfast!
@@carktheshark Lol I agree
@@carktheshark lmao forreal. You don’t know how many times I ate left over pizza because my lazy ass didn’t feel like making scrambled eggs 🗿
@@legitme7572 Chinese food from the night before hit different for breakfast lol
Scallions aka green onion, or spring onion
I also once thought having fish or curry for breakfast was weird. I’m from the U.S., and usually breakfast is bready or sweet. I had korean fish cakes with breakfast once, and I felt so fulfilled. I actually do crave fish in the morning now. You should really try stuff like this, you may be surprised!
I’m from the US too and I love just some rice, eggs, miso soup, etc for breakfast. I don’t love heavy meals in the morning
I've always prefered savoury or sweet meals so if I ever started eating breakfast again and knew what to make it'd be easy.
You’re an American and you’ve never had fried fish with your breakfast?
Maybe that’s just a black thing. I assumed everyone did it.
im mexican american (chicano) from el paso texas. my favorite dish for breakfast is huevos rancheros or huevos divorciados . red chile enchiladas also do the trick.
Mexico got the best breakfast we got chilaquiles, papas con chorizo, and huevos rancheros it’s literally all delicious
Thank you Mexico! I live less than 5 minutes from the Mexico border. Mexican breakfast/brunches are huge here. I would eat a Mexican breakfast over any standard American breakfast any day! Delicious. When I think of breakfast -automatically it's Mexican with lots of salsa!
Breakfast? Mexico is throwing down some amazing platters every meal of the day. When my Mexican coworkers would offer me a bit of their homemade food during break, I never said no. They had this stuff they called carne guiso (looked similar to carne guisada, but they called it guiso), that was one of my favorite foods ever...
- A hungry Texan
@@chitlitlah I'm pretty sure guiso can be anything cooked with tomatoes and onion as a base but I could be wrong.
Guiso just means fried and guiso is just a short version of guisada so if your food is fried with any other stuff would be a guiso or it's is guisada depending on how you use it in a sentence so guiso/guisada the same in one....( puedes guisar carne con papas y salsa) ...(.you can fry meat & potatoes & salsa) or anything you want....so you see "guiso guisada and guisar" are all one word used in different sentences! But you can guisar anything good that goes together and in mexican cuisine you have an array of many many things!!!! You can guisar papas con chorizo or huevos con chorizo or better yet all three! Chorizo con papas y huevos OMG! now that doesn't even need salsa because the chorizo has a lot of spices in it....I remember years ago when I used to watch cooking shows I always you to see the chef's "try" to cook mexican food and the chef's used every mexican ingredient known to man, but NEVER CHORIZO and I used to say to my mom "I wonder why they do not use chorizo" "they don't know what they are missing"...my mom would always say to me "I don't think they even know what chorizo is" and I thought wow, "how? and why?"...now after many many years chorizo is everywhere, Finally!!!, ... I've been cooking with chorizo all my entire life and that is over 50 years, so NO chorizo is NOT something new!!! You "Mexican's" readings this know exactly what I am talking about chorizo has been around since the beginning of time for mexicanos !!! Right my bros and sis from our mexican motherland of MEXICO? even if I was born in Los Angeles California...hahahaha!!!! I was Born & raised with my mexican culture! Because it is more colorful & interesting! "according to my mother of course"
@@rebeccacobarrubias9547 Alright than that just means my parents like to fry onions and tomatoes a lot. Not that the tomatoes really fry. They have so much wate.
I never thought I would see Guyana in any of these videos, it's a really small country and yes that is a common breakfast for us. Mostly a Sunday thing. It's really good.
As an American these were my last few breakfasts:
Philly steak omelet (omelet with steak, onions, peppers, and cheese) with yogurt and granola on the side.
Everything bagel with lox and cream cheese. Bowl of cranberry walnut oatmeal. Protein shake.
8 fried eggs with salsa and cheese.
Fried rice with refried beans and steak. Glass of milk.
I know American breakfast looks ridiculous, but MOST people do not eat pancakes, french toast etc daily. I only have those things a few times a year, most probably have them a couple times a month.
Agree, most Americans don't eat eggs, sausage, and bacon everyday either. This may look fairly traditional but the majority of Americans are not eating these foods all together regularly.
Yeah, I feel like American breakfast has a range of different foods and depends on what you have time for. I think for those breakfasts, if not prepared at home, you could have pancakes and french toast ordering it at a cafe or breakfast spot.
If I have a bit of time in the morning I'd prepare bacon or sausage and eggs . They take just a few minutes to fry up. And then get some oatmeal or toast as that's cooking, and get coffee or tea brewing. If I got lots of time, I'd make an omelette.
@@emmef7970 what the actual fuck are you talking about. Most American DO, in fact, eat eggs and bacon every day.
Tri
@@witdajuice6763 Easily triggered are you? Over breakfast food? Stats show that eggs ARE the most popular food, however, they are not the breakfast eaten most often. Nor is bacon, sausage, waffles or pancakes. More Americans eat cereal, bread items or drink coffee only on a daily basis. I assume this is because most Americans do not have time in the morning especially on workdays to make a sit down meal. Most people are grabbing something on the go. Also, there is a pretty large percentage of the population that doesn't eat breakfast at all or on a regular basis. A survey done shows that only 2/10 Americans eat eggs everyday and those tend to be older people. According to the math I learned, that is nowhere near the majority of Americans. Similar to a full English breakfast in that it is much favored but not eaten on a daily basis by the majority. Also, from what I understand is that eggs and bacon/sausage are eaten more regularly in the South than any other region in the U.S. So, let me just say there was really no need to be so rude just because you have a difference of opinion. People can have different opinions and meaningful dialog in these comments sections without having meltdowns especially over breakfast foods. Poor boy, I'm sorry to tell you, life is going to get tougher, you should learn to pick and choose your battles. As my parents taught me "don't sweat the small stuff".
My south-east America Breakfast (when I eat breakfast), 2 eggs over easy, 2 strips smoked bacon, 1 slice country ham, 1 smoked sage sausage, hash browns (cracker barrel style), 2 pieces toast and a small bowl of Grits with whipped grade a butter, washed down with good Colombian coffee.
Delish! Since I live outside Atlanta, sometimes a nice bowl of (good) cheesy grits. Bacon and 2 eggs over easy w/toast.
@Horse Teeth In fact my heart health is very good, specially since I've cancelled almost all bad carbs out of my diet, it's sugary carbohydrates that's destroys your heart.
Had you ever woke up in the morning at just want to die
@Fayth Osborn yeah that happened to me yesterday
yes everyday
“I’m gonna leave this in” lmao when have you every cut something out
Jeez, Lav can't even look at milk without having a physical reaction! 😅
I love pork chops seasoned with Cajun seasoning and mushrooms cooked, then add some spinach and wilt it. Toss in a couple tablespoon of heavy cream, a little more Cajun seasoning and parmesan cheese for breakfast. Pour the spinach and sauce over the pork chop. 20 minute meal. Almost zero carbs, I'm kicking diabetes's ass! Off all meds.
As a Californian, I will automatically order chilaquiles if they are ever on any menu. Mexican food is unmatched💯
Potato hash is a great breakfast. Tons of options to throw on top of it as well
My moms Guyanese, My dad is African American. They were both raised in New York but raised my brother and I in South Carolina.
You can only IMAGINE the delicious breakfasts we had! Sundays my dad would go all out with the American style breakfasts: pancakes or waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, juice, fresh fruit.
During the week my mom would make us sandwiches or oatmeal, not just any oatmeal, it had fruits and spices 🥰.
If my granny was making breakfast then it was always freshly baked bread with jam, boiled eggs, sausage.
When i was a kid I use to have lucky charms with Pepsi, or a good old fashion sugar sandwich
I was close. Sugar sandwich with Twix & orange juice. Boy that was good! Unfortunately we never had soda in the house or I probably would have tried that too! Lol.
Somebody is VERY obsessed with breakfast, maybe you should have some before you do these vids mate! ;-)
Australia, literally anything. From instant noodles, to cereal, to toasts, to English breakfast, to Mcdonals. Like, I was born and raised in Australia and I have yet to actually pin down what can actually be considered a proper Australian breakfast.
I love how British you are. Including your pallet. 🥰 💕
Chilaquile is really good man
Hands down my favorite!
Upstate NY near Binghamton. Just coffee for breakfast, a semi-sweet cereal like Honey Nut Cheerios, Golden Grahams or Frosted Mini-Wheats for a snack, and maybe once a month waffles for dinner. Rarely a big sit down meal with sausage, bacon, eggs and pancakes, but boy am I getting hungry right now.
I had Cinnamon Toast Crunch for breakfast.
Top Tier cereal
The best cereal
For me in the US lunch is my breakfast. Actually didn't eat breakfast most days except on weekends growing up.
in Canada breakfast is usualy Cereal, pancakes, toasts (idealy with maple syrup, especialy in the spring), omelettes, sometimes bacon/canadian bacon.
Canadian bacon 🤢
A good southern USA breakfast. Biscuits and gravy (American soda biscuits covered in milk gravy with ground sausage mixed in).
I live in CA. I would take biscuits and gravy any day over any other traditional breakfast food. One of the only foods I ever crave!
Huevos rancheros (ranch-style eggs) is also a good one in Mexico. It’s what farm hands used to eat. It’s basically eggs, tortillas, beans, chili sauce and avocado.
I’m American, but the best breakfasts I had in my life were in Israel. A standard hotel breakfast buffet there is yogurts, cheeses, shakshuka (the egg and tomato thing they showed in the video), hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, and a few different kinds of salad. All of it was fantastic-the meat in Israel sucked but the dairy and produce were amazing lol
American breakfast is great for dinner but I could never eat meat right after waking up, it’s way too heavy. My usual breakfast is a banana and some tea. (I like Lady Gray with chocolate almond milk.) Maybe also have peanut butter on toast if I’m really hungry.
Love me some Miso Soup 🍜
Is miso soup really good I have NEVER tried but so many people have told me that it is really good! I have never heard anybody say they didn't like it & I have asked several people if it was good...thank you, my friend I must give it a try right?
@@rebeccacobarrubias9547 you definitely should try it :D
Bro mexicans each nachos for breakfast! Thats awesome. Haha
It's one of the available breakfasts. But chilaquiles can be a bit heavy and unhealthy so unless you live in Mexico city or another very quick-paced urban area you don't eat it often. It's fried tortilla with eggs and /or meat and salsa Although I've never heard of putting creme over it [kind of like creme fraiche, not Daisy's sour cream, that one's to thick].
@@ivetterodriguez1994 i figure it wasnt common, like pancakes and donuts here. Also, i looove me some true authentic mexican food with creme fraiche. Legit addicting.
I love breakfast, and I take the time every morning to do it right. I like to change things up too and also base what I have on the seasons. Of course there is always coffee, every morning I roast the beans then grind them. In the summer it could be a simple as yogurt and fruit with some granola, or it could be some kind of meat bacon, chorizo, or breakfast sausage with scratch-made biscuits. In the winter I love to make breakfast skillets - after I cook the meat I add some chopped onion and sweet potato with some other veggies like tomatoes or peppers or whatever I have on hand, in the cast iron skillet (maybe with a scrambled egg) and bake it in the oven. Other times during the winter I do something simple like grits or oatmeal, usually with biscuits. I literally just finished breakfast and I'm hungry again lol
Been watching your vids honestly love it good commentary on top of learning cool things myself haha
I had to do a special diet for a while where my breakfast consisted of basically peas or broccoli with ground turkey. Took about 3 days to get used to it then it was normal. Breakfast is just about fueling your body for the day so why not eat things like that? (I saw this as someone who loves bacon, eggs, and French toast 😂)
That Turkish breakfast looked delicious! And I would totally love to try a full English fry-up sometime. Southern breakfast - Eggs, Bacon /Ham, or Sausage, Biscuits with Gravy, fried potatoes or grits. If you want sweet in there, skip the gravy and put jam on your biscuits. lol
We sometimes eat hashbrown potatoes, with sausage links or bacon, fried over-easy eggs, buttered toast with orange juice for dinner. Sometimes we have scrambled eggs, or omelets, with toast and OJ. Also, pancakes, or waffles, or homemade french toast sticks made with french bread for dinner. Morning during the week, oatmeal with sugar and milk on it, also Cream of Wheat. When we go camping I usually make zucchini bread or peach pie to take with us for our breakfast with coffee, so I don't have to cook so much. But no beans for breakfast, that is gross.
Love your vids man. Keep it up 👍
keep up the good work been enjoying the vids.
I Iive in America and I like to have a rotation of beef potstickers+ seasoned mushroom and scallion, scallion pancakes, and breakfast crepe with egg+meat+finely chopped veggies+salt
In India, they don't eat Poori halwa for breakfast, its mostly just once a month, regularly in Northern India and some part of Pakistan, they drink buttermilk in morning and eat simple roti( Indian flat bread) with curry or any other dish.
6:32 - I, too can not handle dairy but let's all take a moment of silence for Lav Luka's reaction
This dude left the cough in, no edits lol I guess it gives the feeling of authenticity similar to live reactions 😂 but most people choose to edit out those embarrassing moments i am thoroughly enjoying this candid reaction style whether intentional or unintentional
I died because I thought he was gagging and heaving at the sight of that milk soup dish XD But when he was coughing repeatedly then it looked like it was just water going down the wrong pipes lol.
I had peanut butter and jelly sandwich’s on toasted bread. Yum!

Desmond Doss?
2:35 - Did you not learn your lesson with Sweet Potato Pie? Shakshuka is really easy to make and freakin' awesome. It's tinned tomatoes, onion, peppers, cumin, paprika, chili powder, S&P Sauce that you poach a bunch of eggs in. It really is yummy. I make it for breakfast every once in a while.
I’m American but also from Guatemala breakfast there includes eggs refried beans and fried plantains
I lived in Japan and they are right. We had fish, rice, miso soup and some fruit for breakfast. It was great.
I am American and I eat oatmeal every day for breakfast.
I adore sliced tomatoes 🍅 with my breakfast. Brilliant!!!
I'm by a place that puts country fried steak w/white gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, 3 cheeses & wraps it up in a 18 inch (.5 meter) tortilla that ends up larger then an adult man's head. God bless America (Tucson, AZ).
As an american of hispanic descent, I know much more about Mexican cuisine than others but I only know japanese bc I studied it in college 🤷🏻♀️ I eat a lot of barbacoa and lengua and tamales and tacos and Pan dulce and what not. The egg tomato dish is similar to our hue is rancheros but It’s made different here in Texas than in main parts of Mexico. Our version of spanish/food is usually called “tex mex” cuz it’s Mexican but it’s been texanified lol been and cheese is a popular taco here
Yeah, bigger & fancier breakfast is generally for the weekend & holidays in the U.S. Much more mundane stuff - cereal, yogurt, muffins, bagels, etc. during the week. Very sililar to what you describe for the U.K.
Edit: Luka - you're damn right about the sausages.
As a native Californian I can tell you chilaquiles (the breakfast from Mexico) is bomb.
Really just about any left over dinner goes pretty good in the morning with eggs for breakfast in the mexican culture but yes, you are absolutely right!.."y con tortillas de mano" homemade tortillas hand made" you can't go wrong;
I normally don't even have breakfast. But yesterday I treated myself to American biscuits smothered in sausage gravy and 2 eggs 🥚 🥚 over easy along with 6 strips of bacon 🥓 🥓 🥓 and (on the side) fresh fruit and hot black tea 🍵...
Shakshuka has become very popular in US.
US breakfast is very different depending on the place. In seattle, most of us just have a cup of coffee as seattle is known for its wide variety of coffee shops
Seattle definitely has some good coffee spots. Home of the first Starbucks haha. But east coast breakfast probably would be a bagel and coffee/tea. Just the sheer variety of bagel types and spreads keep it interesting. And everything runs on Dunkin' in a lot of places here.
Not for nothing, an English breakfast looks amazing. It's got literally all good things in one dish. Eggs, tomatoes, sausages, beans, bacon. I understand it's probably not an everyday breakfast, but if I had a stocked refrigerator and pantry, I'd be making it every morning haha.
Have you really lived until you've had chana masala with puri for breakfast as least once? Stuff is magic.
Doughnut for breakfast is normal
Lav, excellent video featuring US sandwhiches : Best Sandwich In Every State | 50 State Favorites , good stuff!!
I live in India and pav bhaji is common it's basically a yeast roll with a spicy potato tomato soup-- it's yummy but I can't do it for breakfast. I will eat it for lunch though.
Rice with cheese n eggs and sausage/bacon/ham. My breakfast bowl🤤
I don't like eggs or milk so if I do eat breakfast it's usually not "breakfast food." Left over pizza is always a good choice!
You'd be amazed how amazing mashed plantains done the right way taste, they're great, idk about having it for breakfast tho
So, basically, the traditional Mexican breakfast is nachos. Tortillas, salsa, cream, cheese, & onion. Nachos!
A tortilla can be used 100's of different ways to achieve different tasting foods. Chilaquiles do not taste like nachos. Big difference. Chilaquiles are covered in either a red or green sauce like enchiladas are and often times have chicken in it. The tortillas are fried/baked until crisp then the sauce is poured over them. Then the chips are slightly softened while some stay crisp. Many people put a fried egg on top and cover it with salsa, etc. Delish! I'd eat chilaquiles with chorizo con papas & frijoles over any American or English breakfast anytime!
Huevos Rancheros!
There is some breakfast on the video that I would like to try, most of them look pretty good!
I'm not sure what exactly is breakfast in Canada but I usually have cereal and toast, on weekends tho if wanna get fancy: french toast, waffles, pancakes all with syrup, canadian bacon, mini sausages, hashbrowns, omelets, scramble eggs, or over easy eggs! I like to dip toast in the yolk if i have over easy eggs! Soo good! :3
I would love to try a traditional English breakfast.
I'm an American living in Japan and I eat miso soup and natto for breakfast every day
Do you like natto? Or did you have to build up a liking or taste to natto? I dunno what the right phrase would be regarding food...kinda like an acquired taste because you've eaten it so much that it doesn't bother you anymore XD Miso soup is always good no matter what time of day or meal.
But to be honest, mangu isn’t just for breakfast. When I was younger and lived in the DR before moving to the US my breakfast was milk coffee with a soft bread. We call it water bread. Because right at twelve you’ll get a nice full lunch and then you got a nice dinner. I don’t know about other countries but compared to the US, in the DR we have set times only for eating. For example with lunch. Most of the country will go to their homes from work or have their prepared lunch boxes and they will eat at twelve on the dot. Kids will get out of school and go home if they lived close to the school and eat and then around one, one thirty people will go back to work and wait on dinner wish would be eaten around six or seven pm. Take this with grain of salt cause one, things change, and two this is what I saw around me before I move to the US and that wasn’t the case.
We all knew what it was gonna be for Mexico 🇲🇽😅
Don’t give that face to that mangu (mashed plantains). Don’t judge it until you try it. It’s one of the best things you’ll eat @lavluka. 🇩🇴 🇩🇴🇩🇴
I just eat a bowl of Raisin Bran (USA) lol
You should do the food insider one on best pizza in each state 🍕🍕🍕
Skillet-fried cornmeal mush with real butter and real maple syrup!

Mangu from the Dominican Republic is actually really good.
do a county fair food in america buddy . the food is really good and some are so gross . we have counties here and they have fairs of food
I saw your face on it but you have to try the mashed plantains with coconut milk and fish its perfect
Breakfast around the world is so wacky to me. I just have something sweet usually, maybe sometimes eggs. I don't get having meat (other than bacon) for breakfast.
Can you react on your other channel to the NBA All Star East and West starters along with the East and West Reserves for 2021?
Any list talking about Mexican food that doesn't include Huevos Rancheros is severely lacking.
You should really do a video about trying American snacks! It would be interesting to see what you think.
For me, since I'm fujianese, I eat this fried bread thing with congee. the congee usually has some type of flavor thing, or rice cakes (kinda like noodles) in there. the fried bread thing is crunchy and chewy at the same time and we have this fried taro paste thing in the shape of a triangle. its different from normal fried taro since it's mashed and steamed before it's fried, so it has a jelly consistency
this is the image i found for the taro: www.chinahao.com/product/538973258245/
personally, even tho im american, im not really a big fan of a lot of fried foods in the morning. or like super sweet. i think i have a very asian taste lol. usually we would have something savory but not super overpowered or salty in our breakfasts unless it's eaten with soup. it's very natural tasting but if u dont like vegetables, you'll prob hate it.
Am I the only family that had the breakfast omelette for dinner every now and then?
Not at all. I had a pastrami and browned onion omelet for dinner last Sunday. :)
Love any breakfast for dinner including pancakes/waffles yum! I have no rules when it comes to my eating habits!
As an American, my biggest issue is that there isn't much variety in eating vegetables with an American-style breakfast, unless it's some form of potato (no hate though, I love potatoes). I usually go with a salad or a veggie omelette during the weekday, but on the weekends when I have the time to sit & eat a more elaborate, balanced breakfast (aka the full course 'diner' breakfast) I'm stumped in how to incorporate more vegetables.
Honestly, I would suggest a smoothie for vegetables. It's really the only thing I can think of short of actually just making vegetables or prepping a salad, given time constraints in the morning. A smoothie with kale or spinach or carrots isn't unusual mixed in with fruits and other stuff. That'd be my healthy option.
I did think about this one - if you had time to make things like potatoes or bacon and eggs in the morning, you can use the same pan and stir fry vegetables. Use the oils and fats and just chuck on whatever vegetables you might have ready and chopped (peppers, tomatoes, carrots, peas, broccoli, etc), and they wouldn't take long to cook. If you wanted it to be healthier, can sub in coconut oil.
@@Rakerong Thanks for the ideas! And, sorry for the length of the following comment, brevity is not one of my strengths.
I've done smoothies before, I should go back to those. I also like pan-roasted sweet potatoes in olive/avocado oil with salt & balsamic vinegar but starchy root vegetables aren't as healthy as other vegetables and it's not time-efficient.
I'm simply surprised at how difficult it is to come up with an 'American' vegetable dish for breakfast that isn't A.) salad, B.) made of potatoes, or C.) another dish with potatoes added in to make it 'healthier' (e.g. omelette + handful of chopped veggies -> veggie omelette). I'll have to look into vegetarian/vegan substitutes or what non-Western cultures eat for breakfast because America doesn't offer much.
You can also do mixture of different culture as well to the American style breakfast. I would incorporate Indian naan (covered minced garlic & cilantro) with my eggs & pickled Kim chi carrots for breakfast. You also do vegetable stir fry with eggs & bacon. It depends on your taste buds & what you want.
A scallion is the green part of an onion
Woulda been great if it was The REAL breakfast people eat around the world. Americas just got a cup of coffee and a piece of toast (maybe)
i'm from the US, my favorite breakfast i've had from around the world was definitely Turkey. Specifically the "menemen."
I think the English breakfast actually looks pretty damn good. Yeah we've got some more options over here in the US but I think for the most part the UK get it right. Rice is gross to me to begin with so I'd take a hard pass on that one, rather just have some frosted flakes if that's the case lol
I’m from and live in Florida and we make some bombs ass breakfasts if you wanna come eat here, you just gotta find the right people.
LOL If I eat Curry for breakfast, I won't be making it to work!!
