Not in my opinion , in fact the previous action in that game ( at 2.53) when the player (blue shirt 20) "climbed" onto opponents shoulders (black shirt 12) could have a notice from referee ( coming in too strong), nothing more . So it is possible the ref saw this as a kind of retaliation for that previous one ? If so , that ref deserves yellow !

Reminds me of a ref awarding a yellow for time wasting and blows off the match when the ball is back in play after restarting the game after the booking.

I don't understand the reasoning of the ref either... She communicates this as if a handball was an automatic yellow card, even appologises for "having to" award the card - but that's just not true. A handball is punished by a direct free kick. It _might_ be a cautionable offense (i.e. yellow card) if and when it is delaying the game, unsporting behaviour or similar things and it is even a sending off if it denies a goal or a scoring opportunity, but then you need to give that as the reason, not the handball itself. So whatever it was she saw there, she did not communicate it in any sort of manner.

These are such drama queens. It does not matter which team, they have all been to the same drama queen school! Reminds me of prisoners in a prison who all say they are innocent and unfairly accused. These drama queens are all innocent and in no way did they create fouls, but they all did.

The end result is they make the game a joke. Soccer is a finesse game not a brawl to see who gets the next card. They should be fined for each card they get.
You just showed how ignorant you are about the game.
Firstly it's called Football. And secondly they can receive fines for being red carded but to suggest est fining them every time is a bit too much
The clubs usually DO fine them per offense, just not the league. This isn't gridiron football where the teams ARE the league - association football has a governing body that is independent from the teams and enforces on game participation only, i.e. after every red card a review board reads the referee's account and the rebuttal from the team/player and then decides on the length of a ban from games in the same competition. Repeat offenders theoretically could be banned forever, but this is relatively rare if you're not exhibiting clear intentionally harmful tendencies. The clubs, however, want to win their matches and keep their players able to compete - especially their best players - so discipline in a monetary way is usually maintained by the clubs.

The game would be more interesting, if they just threw out the failed attempt to play soccer and just have them go after each other in a mass brawl. They could also have the women wear bikinis. I think I might watch then.
