- Maryhill Girls SS (Thika) won first place in the Canadian set piece "Size of Your
Heart". It was sung jointly with neighbouring Mangu Boys SS. Written by Canadian composer Eleanor Daley, it was entered in the Kenya National Music Awards Competition under the category of International Collaboration. Maryhill Girl's SS was judged the best of 12 schools in that class.
CES Canada is proud to be associated with Maryhill Girls SS. In 2012 Maryhill Girls first joined CES as an Expansion School and presently CES is providing one scholarship to a needy student in Thika.

Keep singing, make music that will bring joy to others. A society is only healthy to the extent that it interacts and integrates daily with the arts. Kenyan school choirs bring such greater dimension and life to their school communities and beyond. Asante sana.
