When you and your army of nomes work in the coal section of the game, once you beat that puzzle and go up with all the nomes, they stare at the burning furnace in wonder, and you can see their shadows take form of children the size of your player, implying that the nomes were the other children captive above the maw that tried to escape. The lady probably turns them into Nomes because as you can see, Nomes have a difficult time getting places(getting stuck in jars, boxes, etc.). Not only that, but the Nomes no longer look like children, they no longer look like human beings. If they WERE to escape, nobody would help them because they look freakish and only make scuttling noises. Six realized that the meat eaten by the guests aboard the maw were made out of the children who didn't bother trying to escape, but she never knew that the nomes were the runaways. She probably figured that she would rather eat an alive creature that does not resemble her kind... than resort to canabalism(which either way she would). Thank you for listening to my ted talk
I read the comments on his last video of the main game. One of them said that the meat the guests actually eat at the maw, are the guests that got to fat. Because honestly the huge slabs of meat they were eating couldn't be the kids their so tiny. I just dont think that it makes sense that it's the kids. Unless they kids somehow got super big for them to eat. I could totally be wrong though but it just doesn't make sense that its child meat.
@@chelseamelissa25 Well, that could be true, but remember when the Janitor would capture the children and then wrap them for the Brothers in the Kitchen? What I think (and have read so far) is that the Lady uses guests as maybe sustenance, and the kids could be turned to gnomes after taking their essence/beauty.
The runaway kid tried to feed hungry six because he was being nice like before to six but she does or doesn't get it's him. Either way he gets devoured.
Maybe how they died before respawning is their nightmare I believe that they can somehow see the future How else would the kid in the dlc know about the water hands in his nightmares
Man, I was so emotionally invested in that little dude, really hoped he would have a good ending. Well, it's not called Little "Nightmares" for nothing.
Forecast Lotus3 your whole sentence is debatable cause she intended to escape in the first place and she killed the people that were hostile towards six so it can be counted as a happy ending
The Lady isn't hideous. If you've read the comics, the mirrors does not show one's true self, it shows what's inside of you. In the comics the kids see theirselves as strong and tall. The lady hasn't been quite nice in the game, so to say. So the mirror shows her true self, what she has become...
For a dlc that's supposed to explain more of the Maw, you'd have to find an awfully lot more in the comic to understand what's going on. They should really put that in the game instead, cause not everyone is going to get the comic.
11Quaid that’s actually very interesting, i’ve wanted to get the comic myself since i preordered this game off of steam and loved it ever since the base game. but i didn’t know where to find a spot that sold the comic.
@@nateandnorbert4030 I think six is a special child because she was found on a suitcase, does that mean that she's a special child and was guarded by someone may be the hanging man, but he ended his life. We also see a letter near the hanging man, maybe six decided to explore herself as she wasn't guarded anymore. Six also have powers to absorb, like when she ate meat, she was able to escape the kitchen so maybe meat had entered the kitchen from where six escaped. *Just my theory I maybe wrong*
the ending is actually so dark... the little boy did so much, tried to escape but still ended up dying. Even though he was a gnome, he ACTUALLY got eaten alive. Thats crazy
And at 9:48 he sees pictures of weird creepy people, including the Teacher, who is gonna be in LN2 and I love that Sean said "That one is my least favourite"
wait really?? i went back to look at their shadows but i didnt see children sized shadows edit: nvm i lookes at them again and they most definitely do look like children
39:27 it’s crazy how little Nightmares 2 was teased 4 YEARS AGO! We didn’t know what the hell was the man on the tv was (is now known as thin man) and that NOBODY thought about a second game. I’m just in shock on how long it’s been ever since this was hinted at. Holy shit!
As soon as he changed, I immediately knew he was the one Six ate. All that fight he had in him to escape just evaporated...he just gave up. He just wonders around without purpose, and doesn't seem to notice when the others run away. He just appears so sad looking down at that sausage while he...waited. God and the music! 😭😭
That's an interesting theory. I didn't get the vibe that he gave up. When Six comes, he offers her the sausage, so I don't think he actually believed she would eat him. I think he was just trying to help. (Remember he had already given her sausage once before.)
If your in 2021 watching this after little nightmares 2 has been released. did you notice the tall man in the tv and the teacher is one of the painting. 😱 literal chills.
Ya man but 2 years ago I watched jack play little nightmare and I didn't saw the dlc and in the end mono in the tv as the tall man and I think in little nightmare 3 they both goona fight each other six vs mono
@@jessholden3664 Yeah, apparently they aren't going to continue Little Nightmares. Little Nightmares 2 is the last they'll probably make of the series.
I love how indirect this game is with its story, when it opens up with the scene of the sausage they don't even say anything. You hear the music swell and you just know. It's beautiful how this is so incredible with its visuals
The nomes are actually children who were transformed by The Lady to work in the engine room of The Maw. Also yes, Little Nightmares has a comic that shows how Six ended up at The Maw, the world outside The Maw, as well as the stories of other children. The image on the TV at the end of the dlc is the tall hangman you saw at the beginning of the game, hinting that the devs will probably do something with him in the future.
@@kirk_kirksman4503 some people speculate that he is the bellhop, a character that was not introduced in either the main game or the dlc(but who's photo was shown in the picture frame puzzle).
..... _this figure is also in the trailer for the second game, as well as the central image of the poster obscured by the title and the lighting, it's probably the equivalent to The Lady but in the sequel_ Or to be more specific the entire post credits scene was the teaser for the second game and nobody knew
Wait... remember the clock that was created oddly, that went in the order 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, *6,* *8,* *7,* 9, 10, 11, 12? Remember the joke: "Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 8 9" (Like 8 ate 9)? That was all foreshadowing to Six eating Seven when he became a nome. Edit: Look Ma, I'm famous Edit 2: I looked back on this a year later- the order is actually 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 8. I think it's just a dev mistake, but I'm keeping this comment up because I felt smart when I wrote it lmao Edit 3: Incase anyone needs to see this, too: 6 is the fandom's name for the Runaway Kid. Don't take this 'theory' seriously, I wrote it when I didn't know that detail.
@@editing.org.9108 I guess the meat belongs to guests because guests doesn't eat children and chefs doesn't serve children meat. There was one time when you can enter a guest's room and they are sleeping and in down floor you can see chef is chopping some meat. So that means they are serving the guests to that meat belongs to a guest...I think?..I hope?
coming back to this after the release of little nightmares 2... oh my god. thin man was foreshadowed 2 years before and we had completely forgot about it. I feel so so very dumb right now
The Secrets are: The Depths: -The deeper parts of the maw are ruled by the Granny -The Granny The Hideaway: -The Nomes run the maw. -The Nomes hideout in the engine room. -The nomes are children (If you look closely) The Residence: -The Shadow Children -The Lady is ugly af -She turns kids into Nomes -Runaway Kid gets eaten by Six (More than a fact than a secret)
(edit: oh my god i didn’t realize this had gotten so many likes! wow that’s a first. also i’ll come out and say that i’m pretty sure this is a theory, i had based this on many other things that i’ve read and watched. this is most likely not canon, but it’s fun to think about!) She doesn't use their essence to make herself pretty. She can't do anything about her appearance. So to make herself feel better, she curses others who appear more attractive to be ugly or physically unappealing. that's why she runs the maw the way she does. you know all of those guests eating? she makes sure they keep eating by continuously feeding their hunger, which in turn results in them turning into hideous gluttons. the only way she can conceal her face is with a mask. that's why she was after six in the original game. six was a child that had an appearance that was more tolerable than her own. if she can't do anything about her face, she can at least make sure no one is less ugly than she is. or at least that's what's theorized. hope that's helpful. :)
TheMusicalSinger TheMusicalSinger well I don't agree because if you read or saw the comics you'll know that the mirror she is looking at is making her look ugly So it make her keep killing people. For example the guy who killed him (at the start of six story) self maybe he saw him self as ugly in the mirror so he killed him self for that. And the comic says the same thing Three kids walked in a hunted house the saw mirrors and saw them self as what the want until a man came out of one of them and took one of the kids So maybe that's the guy in the TV at the end. Btw the mirror looks exactly like the one the kids saw in the hunted house
Jack, my running theory is she (the running name for her is The Geisha or The Lady) turns you into a Nome (Runny Dude) is because you saw her secret. You saw her without the mask. So, she had to shut you up. Nomes can't talk. Not to mention they're easy prey for the scavengers of the Maw, so she figured you'd take her secret to the grave. Also, there is indeed a Little Nightmares comic. Volume I looks outside the Maw, but I believe Volume II will be on Secrets of the Maw. Please like so Jack sees this. Keep your peepers peopled.
I think she looks normal with her mask off (as evidenced when you see her character model without the mask asset). I think what her secret really is, is that in _mirrors,_ she looks old and ugly. Which is why she breaks almost all of them, because she can't stand the sight of herself (and even the mirror she was looking into broke, leaving only 1 mirror remaining in her residence).
But The Lady did'nt turn 6 into gnome? 6 could've have the same fate as the other kids, become a gnome. Maybe she predicted that 6 will be in her room, she recognize it fast and straight up kill six with her powers. When six escaped,in the mannequin room, she tried attack six in the dark room for so many, many times.Maybe six is "The Lady"(ppl said that her humming and six's music box sounds similar too). She just wanted to break the loop. This is just a theory cuz i saw another theory said there's a lot of women becomes "The Lady" before The Lady now does.Anddd there's also a theory about the loop and fate in this game.
@@dawgie8102 If you think about it, the lady was also transforming six into a nome just like how she did to the runaway kid. But it's just that everytime the lady would do that, six would respawn because that wasn't supposed to happen.
I’ve had a theory that 6 is the lady... little nightmares 2 is a prequel. Mono is the thin man and 6 is the lady. 6 has the powers of her and has the same song. Maybe I’m wrong but it’s all I can think about when seeing 6
After just watching the second game's playthrough, I realised there were DLCS to the first. So I'm pretty late to the party. As soon as the little dude went into the room, and waited to so sweetly offer the sausage to Six, unaware of his impending demise. Coupled with that music...I just burst into tears. Like WTF?! It's so tragic. Screw you, developers!
That's definitely one of the best DLC story ideas I've ever encountered. Take the most harrowing, most gut-wrenching, most heartstring-tugging scene from the original game, and make it deeper and darker. I love it when the most bubbly parts of a story have some of the darkest backstories. Kudos to the developers for one of the most well-developed game worlds in a long time, albeit being framed inside a dank vessel.
I don't think there's any more DLC unfortunately...Little Nightmares the complete version was released on Nintendo Switch recently so unless they announce even more paid DLC and charge people who paid £35 for the Switch version, it would be absurd...I would LOVE new DLC though.
Awesome ending, soon as Jack became a Mushroom Head my stomach sank cause I just knew it was gonna be the worst saddest end for the poor little guy, especially seeing how it was always having the boy tied in with Six as they kept crossing paths and also seeing how the Evil Masked Spirit Woman Geisha was still alive meaning Six hadn't killed her yet either, anyway, really really good and really really enjoyed the series of games, just a cool dark story all around
Lawrence Villanoza I know it’s 2 years later but only just played the game. I was always under the impression the ‘mushroom heads’ were actually wearing ‘dunces cap’, obviously used as a childrens punishment for being naughty. I haven’t seen any comments about it so I don’t know if it’s a known thing or even wrong but yeah. Just an idea
I think she turns children into Nomes because she sucks their spirit out of them and they turn into some weird, ugly creature (even though Nomes are oddly cute) and the remains of whatever humanity they have left is what those creepy black children looking things are. They're the spirits of kids trapped in a neverending nightmare while their body runs around as some strange creature who seems to run on instinct. People have speculated that the reason The Runaway kid didn't run from Six and held the sausage is because he was just transformed so his mind was still more towards that of a human than what he was turned into. He saw Six, a fellow child, and was like "Oh, I can help her!" instead of booking it aaand that's what happened. In Six's defense it was speculated that she's an anti-hero which means she doesn't go out of her way to help others but she's not at the level of a villain. So basically she didn't want to be as disgusting as The Guests who were eating meat that were made from children. Six knew the sausage was made out of children and went for the Nome instead...but she had no idea that Nomes were once children who had just been transformed by The Lady. So Six is probably still blissfully unaware of what she did while all the players are horrified.
I assumed the lady was her mother as I read it somewhere in the past, it might be wrong though. Also, she 6 might not be related to all those 'people', possibly they are all just cursed
Jack: its been a while scince I’ve played the game so i dont remember everything Me who has been binging all the little nightmares content: i have solved every equation
Okay. So when I first saw this, I though, "What? She TURNS the children into Nomes? That doesn't make any sense!" Not in that it wasn't foreshadowed (I saw their shadows in the last DLC), or that it seems implausible in this universe, but just that it doesn't make sense in terms of the presumed goal of the Maw. How it goes is usually *children are captured* > *they're turned into food* > *patrons come to the Maw to eat the kid-food* > *she sucks out their life force to fuel herself*. Nomes are said to be pests in the grand scheme of things -- the cooks don't use them as food (instead prefering to squash them like bugs), and the guests show no interest in devouring them. So why would she threaten her operation by turning kids that patrons could be chowing down on into something inedible? It's already heavily implied that the chefs already use some of the guests' dead bodies as "filler", but why not leave what gives the meat its "sweetness" alone? But then it occurred to me. It doesn't HAVE to make sense, because the vanity that ultimately controls the Geisha destroys all logic anyways. Vain people are incapable of logic -- they'll do anything preserve their own fragile egos, even if it goes against their ultimate goals. The Runaway Kid saw her at her most vulnerable, so he had to pay. She turned him into what amounts to a skittering cockroach in their world for all eternity for his perceived slight. It's assumed this is what she did for all kids that were trying to escape and might have unintentionally seen her -- aside from Six, who I assume she only killed right away because she knew how big of a threat she was. Tl;dr: The Geisha turning kids into Nomes doesn't make sense -- except it does, because the Geisha herself doesn't make sense. What a cool game.
They help operate/fuel the ship. They were feeding the fire with coal in the belly of the ship. That wasn't just to help the kid. They are basically slaves. Yes it's a form of punishment but it is also beneficial and makes sense.
It makes sense to me. As you said the nomes are the pests, I believe that the lady turns any child that sees her face into a nome due to maybe a fear of the child telling others and ruining her. Maybe because of this, the lady views the children that see her face as pests and if the nomes are pests what better way to dispose of them then to create more, also from what I can see, the nomes cant speak. If the lady doesn't want her face to been shown to anyone but her then wouldn't it make sense to turn ones that do see her face into a creature unable to speak and also classed as a pest? Just a theory please don't @ me ;-;
Actually, it kinda *does* make sense; The Hideaway DLC explicitly tells us that the Nomes are not pests to be squashed, neither do they simply exist in The Maw for no reason. They're *workers* as we see them operating the boiler room and chucking coal into the flames to essentially feed The Maw. This isn't something R.K orders them to do, either, as even the first Nomes he finds almost instinctively run to throw in coal the moment they see the massive engine. So, The Lady turning kids into Nomes does have rationale behind it; the kids are food, and the ones clever enough to escape aren't killed but rather converted into the workforce to still contribute to The Maw. *Children are captured > they're turned into food > patrons come to the Maw to eat the kid-food > she sucks out their life force to fuel herself* Yes, *but you also forget this other chain:* *Children are captured > Children escape > they're caught > The Lady uses her magic to turn them into obedient Nomes > The Nomes work to keep The Maw running, continuing the deathly cycle anyway.* Turns out The Lady does have logic :3
Billie Jex from what i heard from another commenter who read the little nightmares comic the mirror shows the inner self of everybody in front of it, so while the lady is beautiful on the outside shes ugly on the inside, in terms of how she acts and all. he also said the kids appear as bigger in a way but i can’t really fully confirm that until i get my hands on the comic myself. if it is true it makes things a lot more interesting though, at least to me, i wonder what six would look like if she stood in front of it after all she has gone through on the maw.
The prequel actually is the android game: Very Little Nightmares. That talks about how Six got the raincoat, etc., and the comics tell how she stumbled upon the Maw
@@neilnatsumi yes I’ve watched an entire play through of that game as well and that definitely comes before little nightmares and little nightmares 2 in the timeline, but I’m talking about how it seems like little nightmares 2 comes before little nightmares 1
In my opinion, I think the nomes are the children that's actually seen her face maybe. Since the nomes can't talk, they aren't able to tell anyone what they've seen.
I.... I was honestly not expecting that ending. I figured things wouldn't turn out well for the boy, but _oh my goodness._ I'm literally trembling.... wow.
Hey guys I know the Little Nightmares 2 demo just came out, but please don’t bug him to play it! His dad just recently passed away and he’s taking some time for himself! The last thing he needs is people pressuring him into not grieving properly!
If you want to induce rage, just look at the replies to his Twitter post about it. People think they're so entitled to his content, instead of respecting him and letting him have the time he needs. Appreciate you being one of the many good fans & knowing people will do this though, and I'm certain that if Jack sees your comment he'll be grateful to see understanding :) Have a really great day, my dude
Yeah, I found out about that and I actually cried. I felt so bad for him. I have lost and grandparents, so I know how it feels. I couldn’t imagine losing one of my parents, that’s so sad. I am thinking once he’s had his time to grieve, hopefully he’ll play it, and let us see him play it. I can wait for however long he needs...I just want him to be okay.
@@wlf3215 it really should not matter why he took a break. we, as people who care about him, should respect him and his decisions. (not saying you don't)
Glad that someone else caught that. I went to the comments to see how many others saw it and thought this, and this was the only one I saw (without going too far down the list). Maybe there's another DLC coming out related to that?
its speculated in some theories that he's six's father who couldn't bare letting her be exiled and eaten imo i think the maw may have been an imperial families getaway yacht/island deal, the woman with her family (a couple sisters at least) would go out there, and eventually decided to let tourists in as well. to appeal to tourism, they made it into something taboo and desirable (to certain tourists) by having "gourmet" food. they may have even offered sexual services back in the day, but the masked woman we see now maybe WASNT that highly desired, and she took offense to that, possibly killing her sisters for no competition. and as she got older she just went further and further into madness.
I'm on board with the Hanged Guy being Six's Dad ... tbh idk y i assumed a dad figure or at least a man will appear near the end .. since we get to know about The Lady now ...maybe The Man of the Maw XD
Everybody is talking about how the teacher is on the wall from LN2, but from what it looks like the doctor is there too (far left at 10:33). It doesn’t look exactly like him but it shows a very close resemblance. There is also a portrait next to that one on the right of it that shows up in the school
I actually got tired of waiting for Jack to play Sally face 3 so I watched another youtuber play it,, I think he'll be surprised by the ending. Waiting for Chapter 4 now.
So the Runaway Kid, who really did nothing wrong and was good with all of the nomes/kids got eaten by Six, while Six, who is a monster, got to escape... That is harsh to accept. Also, I want to see who the hanged man was!
Six wasn’t a monster, she was an apathetic survivor. She didn’t know the nomes were kids but she DID know that the sausages were made from kids, so she ate, what she assumed was, the lesser evil. She did what she had to, to survive.
Jin the banana from the left I’m going to assume you didn’t read past “Six wasn’t a monster,” Also how do you know the source of her powers are demonic. Re-read my original reply and think about it. Six was a girl who did what she had to, to survive. She took what she thought was as high a moral ground as was possible for her situation.
@@JustAChinesePleb Someone said that the runaway kid was just giving up at the end so Six would eat him, and discover the lady's weakness, because he saw it.
I'm pretty sure Six already had some sort of dark magic in her ( remember the Shadow Six when she eats? ). So, I think Runaway Kid, when he becomes a Nome, recognized Six and knew that she needed help. Granted, I'm pretty sure he didn't expect to get EATEN, but his knowledge helped her, in some way...
You know , when Six ate Nome ( Runaway boi ) i think she got some sort of "knowledge" how to defeat The Lady , cuz Runaway boi saw her weakness so maybe when Six ate him , she maybe discovered her weakness? Also , is Six one of the *Seven sins*? Or something like that , 'cuz i heard sixth one was the starve ( maybe that is why only Six had to eat to keep herself alive ) sin ( the sixth one. )
No the never intended to make a dlc until after LN got so much support the runaway kid is my favorite character but he was just a filler character he didn't do anything to change the ending and that's sad
@@GustavoFring-z6l well just about everyone is ignoring your comment cause its a heacanon that makes sense, six also has to crawl through tiny spaces after eating the rat so she could have also gained the knowledge of the rat.
Among the 7 Deadly Sins, there is no sin called "Starve". The sins are Wrath, Envy, Gluttony, Sloth, Lust, Greed, and Pride. I believe what you are referring to is Gluttony.
just another spirited away reference i noticed, yn how in the beginning of spirited away when her parents become pigs for eating too much. the buffet thing the fat guys are eating at reminds me a lot of that scene. and the fact they are probably getting fattend up to be eaten adds to it
I think that Kubo's mom turned him into a gnome to operate the maw like in the 2nd dlc. Also, the picture that the TV showed was the hanging man in the beginning in the main game.
DNAiden the person So were we seeing his reflection in the screen, maybe? He’s still a mystery to me. Six’s Dad? Someone else? **sigh** Given enough time, I’m sure more theories will surface. I’ll just have to wait and see I guess.
AquaticEmber06 if it was her father, it would make sense as to her wanting to leave. If Kubo's mother is Six's mother, then she went out to kill her as revenge for killing her father (at least in Six's eyes). She would no longer need to stay as portrayed of her leaving in the original game. Both parents have died and she is no longer needed. Only a matter of time before the other people start eating other. I think they covered all the bases. But there are still unanswered questions: What or who are all the babies in the nursery? Who was the teenager that get Six? Are these the new meals? Or are they the product of whatever is causing the other people on the Maw to eat? Is this a case of body snatchers? I don't think we'll ever know unless they make more as prequels in Six's life. But, that's just my theory.
As soon as he became the mushroom, I was like "You're the one who gets eaten aren't you?" I don't know why that's what I remembered from the original game...
Maybe she turned him into the run guy Becuase he saw her real face and that's what she does with everyone so there small and have to live with their own face covered to live in regret for the rest of there life Becuase they saw her
I didn't think it was obvious, actually ^-^ so I'm glad someone pointed it out, and that the person has the free will and the right to type in whatever theory they have ;) Thanks for pointing it out, your theory is soooo good *-*
Ahhh interesting theory! To piggy back off that I’d lie to add maybe she gets her youth from the child’s face? I mean...with a few exceptions aside, most people look at children or baby’s and think “awww, look how cute they are!” In a non creepy way children are often considered pretty, it’s why Disney characters have such large eyes. Maybe it’s the pure beauty of a child she needs to make her self look pretty....and thus the child loses their actual face?
That's a good one but I think that it's a little more complex then that like maybe she turns them in to the gnomes to search for the kids that run away, because im sure that happens alot, and bring them to her...(also I hope I didn't sound rude and if I did Im sorry Im not very good with words :)) )
Jack, the reason the lady is doing this (at least i think) is because she knows she is ugly. She has beem going after six (her daughter) and the runaway kid (name of the kid) so that she could make them not beautiful, so that she would FEEL beautiful. The actual nome body was created by the janitor, as hinted by his massive room of self made wooden dolls.
the lady isn't actually ugly, that's just the way she sees herself in the mirror. it sucks that they don't find some way to explain things that are in the comic and not the game.
Shiaya Windblade Now i haven't read the comic, but would it be like the lady sees herself as ugly & sees six & the runaway kid beautiful in their youth (or beautiful in general) & is jealous of them. Thus she turns the kids into nomes to make them ugly? I'm assuming Jack thinks she steals their "essence of youth" because of six, when she eats the lady & gains her powers. (This us all purely speciation on my part though. Clarification would be much appreciated) 😊
Jack often complains about the controls in this game, but to be honest, I like them. Not because I think they're easy to control, but because they AREN'T. Think about it; if you were a tiny child, terrified, exhausted, hungry, running mostly on adrenaline, then do you really think every movement you made would be executed perfectly? You would likely fumble objects in your hands or run into a wall because you're so scared, and being a child, also have less control over your motor functions, which is only exacerbated when in panic. It definitely makes the game more challenging but also more real, and more scary.
Also, saying that the DLC didn't add a lot... I'd have to disagree. We get more characters, and when you really look at things you begin to understand more about the characters, and you actually learn in the Hideaway DLC chapter that the Nomes ARE children (When you see them in front of the furnace, their shadows are their true selves.)
sonicstormer it's not an excuse. If you even pay a little attention you see that Tarsier studios has thought of everything with this game: the minimal information they give both about the story and the controls/puzzle solutions, how they answer questions in interviews with a thick veil of mystery. Who's to say that while developing the game they left some of those slight control jerks in intentionally? If you get mad at the game because it makes you mess up then you're not really appreciating the experience they have created for us. That being said there's definitely a difference between imperfect control and actual glitches, but since those didn't really happen in this playthrough I didn't think it was necessary to mention it.
Fact: If you turn on captions and go to the TV scene after the credits, the captions will say "You". Is that a coincidence? Or does that mean something?
coincidence. i am hard of hearing so i have them on often enough. youtubes autogenerated subtitle system sucks. it changes words that where said fine. it doesnt work for whole sections, or even be a word he hasnt said yet. its absolute garbage.
@@whitetailprince I think this was intentional tho. The rest of the subtitles seem to match and have proper punctuation and spelling so why would this be any different
I believe that she turns the children *who see her face* into the conehat guys, whether as a punishment or to keep them quiet i don't know. i don't think it has anything to do with preserving her youth- she goes around in that mask all the time and doesn't want to see her face- if she was made youthful by the transformation, why would she be so afraid to see herself??? also, why the hell was meekakitty in the credits?!?!
well the problem with that is thats alot of kids that would need to see her face all the time then. I mean there are alot of those gnomes everywhere. I doubt that many have seen her face and not all the meat seem to be kids as well. There is just way to much food being put out for it all to be kids also there was fish in some parts of the kitchen areas. So i think kids do get severed but not all the time. Most more then likely go to her for either youth or just keep her alive or even fuel her power. Because six did eat her and then gain those powers. So that does make sense.
But the question is, how long has she been alive? We have no idea of the life cycle of these creatures, she could be 30 or 300. I don't know, I'm just throwing out theories.
The runny dudes(they,re called Nome's BTW they have no g at the beginning of their name on purpose)run the maw so my guess is that to keep a steady supply of nomes because I doubt they can procreate they use humans to create children which they turn into nomes and that explains why they don't eat children normally and instead keep them alive.By the way people think the kid who gave 6 bread at the beginning of the game is the boy. Another thing is that you never get hungry as the boy but you do as 6 which maybe means 6 isn't human
The second I saw the first dlc I was like “oh, she’s going to eat him lol” that runny dude had to know how to kill the lady somehow. Figured it was kind of like a rogue one situation.
The only playthrough where I can actually hear the game audio really well. I have watched SO many playthroughs, of this game and many others, and heard things in Mr. Septiceye's that I have never heard in others. I never knew the shadow-children giggled, and I heard it perfectly in this video. Whatever audio settings you use for your videos, it is perfect.
This video came out three years ago today. Today being the day he posted his video about the ending of Little Nightmares 2. Funny how that works, isn’t it?
Not really sure if this is already a theory or not, but... Does anyone else think the lady runs the ship full because she's like really self centered? Not being able to bare her own ugliness so she establishes this so everyone would be below her? Like the kids being deprived of their youth and essence to become the little nomes and the gluttonous people on there that would be considered massive ugly slobs compared to her? So like, it's the story of an ashamed narcissist?
10:55 we can see the teacher’s face in Little Nightmare’s 2 in one of the pictures, we can see her during all the scene but I took this part because she is lightened up ! 39:25 you can see the thin man on the tv announcing the future of the game
Wendy they did it deliberately, because it's a little nightmares joke. The runaway kid is also referred to as seven, and the other character six is a cannibal. You know. Because nomes.
I think she drains their essence to prolong her life, but it does nothing to shield her physical appearance from the ravages of time, so she wears a porcelain mask that resembles her past beauty. She surrounds herself with beautiful things, the porcelain dolls and statues, hardcover books, fine furniture and rugs, in an attempt to distract herself, while smashing the many mirrors she likely collected in her youth. She still gives in to the morbid temptation to see her own ugliness, as we witnessed in this video, and becomes enraged by anyone even catching a glimpse of her true appearance. That probably explains why the janitor, a being who would have to go into most, if not all, places within the Maw, has his skin peeled down over his eyes. (I wonder if maybe she can't quite bring herself to outright kill the children like the janitor and the cooks will. Instead they're deformed by her magic into the little Nomes which have no visible eyes or mouths, leaving them unable to see her or speak of what they saw.) Finally, in an endeavor to feel even slightly better about herself, she caters to those who are unarguably uglier and for more repulsive than she is. Her customers are hideous, corpulent gluttons who will eat anything to satisfy this bizarre hungers of theirs, and she gives them what they want to further their images and beings as revolting creatures that she can still hold herself above in any and all regard.
39:35 The man with massive legs who appears onscreen is likely the man who hung himself whose massive legs we saw in one of the first stages of Six's play. Also, I went back to 9:23 and saw that the top painting looks like a very tall figure, so perhaps it's a family tree of a family business and the extended family work there? If so that would make Mr. Lanky the founder or former head of the business, but this begs the question why would he be hanging from a rope in one of the stingier parts of the Maw? Well, we know the corruption and greed clearly portrayed throughout the game, perhaps Ol' Mr. Lanky didn't kill himself but was strung up by Mrs. Meano Lady, either on a noose or a hook to rot like all the other meat we see. After all, I'm pretty sure in that scene Mr. Lanky's feet didn't reach the chair set up under him, so maybe Mrs. Meano Lady put it there so she could claim he killed himself and not forfeit inheritance of the business? This is all speculation based on these videos I have no other outside knowledge of any of this, so it's highly likely wrong, but I thought I'd put it in anyway. Noone will probs see this cause how old it is and they're busy reading the better theories... :/ Ah well. Most of it's based on large assumptions anyway.
They straight up took a tragic death and gave it MORE backstory to make it even MORE fucked up

This whole series is another level of messed up, yet it’s so interesting to see how all the events and games are connected.
Genesis K She probably also turns them because they are young and pretty and she doesn’t like anyone to look better than her
I read the comments on his last video of the main game.

-The nomes are children (If you look closely)
The Residence:
-The Shadow Children
-The Lady is ugly af
-She turns kids into Nomes
-Runaway Kid gets eaten by Six (More than a fact than a secret)
Cool, but the Lady isn’t actually ugly. She is beautiful but mirrors in that world reflect personality not looks and she’s a bad person so she’s ugly.
thank u for all these blueprints
TheMusicalSinger good theory, one i believe the most yet.
oooooh that makes a lot of sense
TheMusicalSinger TheMusicalSinger well I don't agree because if you read or saw the comics you'll know that the mirror she is looking at is making her look ugly
So it make her keep killing people.
For example the guy who killed him (at the start of six story) self maybe he saw him self as ugly in the mirror so he killed him self for that.
And the comic says the same thing
Three kids walked in a hunted house the saw mirrors and saw them self as what the want until a man came out of one of them and took one of the kids
So maybe that's the guy in the TV at the end.
Btw the mirror looks exactly like the one the kids saw in the hunted house
That's a good theory. I agree.
ahmad amide the comic??

I'm here
Jack, my running theory is she (the running name for her is The Geisha or The Lady) turns you into a Nome (Runny Dude) is because you saw her secret.
Which is why she breaks almost all of them, because she can't stand the sight of herself (and even the mirror she was looking into broke, leaving only 1 mirror remaining in her residence).
i wonder. why would she choose not to kill the children instead if they saw her secret and also because the nomes are of no benefit to her?
I totally guessed that was the case! I'm so glad someone actually commented the story!
Thanks, dude!

That's definitely one of the best DLC story ideas I've ever encountered. Take the most harrowing, most gut-wrenching, most heartstring-tugging scene from the original game, and make it deeper and darker. Kudos to the developers for one of the most well-developed game worlds in a long time, albeit being framed inside a dank vessel.

What year is it again
I mean, she could only be turning the kids that escape the room into nomes
It makes sense to me. As you said the nomes are the pests, I believe that the lady turns any child that sees her face into a nome due to maybe a fear of the child telling others and ruining her. Maybe because of this, the lady views the children that see her face as pests and if the nomes are pests what better way to dispose of them then to create more, also from what I can see, the nomes cant speak. If the lady doesn't want her face to been shown to anyone but her then wouldn't it make sense to turn ones that do see her face into a creature unable to speak and also classed as a pest? Just a theory please don't @ me ;-;
Actually, it kinda *does* make sense; The Hideaway DLC explicitly tells us that the Nomes are not pests to be squashed, neither do they simply exist in The Maw for no reason.
*Children are captured > they're turned into food > patrons come to the Maw to eat the kid-food > she sucks out their life force to fuel herself*
Yes, *but you also forget this other chain:*
*Children are captured > Children escape > they're caught > The Lady uses her magic to turn them into obedient Nomes > The Nomes work to keep The Maw running, continuing the deathly cycle anyway.*
Turns out The Lady does have logic :3
She probably turned the Runaway Kid and all those other kids into Nomes because they were witnesses to her true appearance

from what i heard from another commenter who read the little nightmares comic the mirror shows the inner self of everybody in front of it, so while the lady is beautiful on the outside shes ugly on the inside, in terms of how she acts and all.
he also said the kids appear as bigger in a way but i can’t really fully confirm that until i get my hands on the comic myself.
if it is true it makes things a lot more interesting though, at least to me, i wonder what six would look like if she stood in front of it after all she has gone through on the maw.
That's an interesting fact to look into. Thnks:)
*gnomes
Billie Jex or that’s just a decayed form of their souls being ripped out to feed the lady

Ok so I’m definitely starting to think that little nightmares 2 is actually the prequel and little nightmares itself is actually the events after-
The prequel actually is the android game: Very Little Nightmares.
It was obviously a prequel cuz six didn't have the raincoat there
@@neilnatsumi that's the very prequel that's how it started
Wish they make another game breaking the cycle and explaining what the little nightmares world is actually about:'
The lady potrait at 10:14 is actually the teacher at the Little Nightmare 2 trailer

In my opinion, I think the nomes are the children that's actually seen her face maybe. Since the nomes can't talk, they aren't able to tell anyone what they've seen.
GoldenPancakes8 as they seen her face their original form being take away and the lady get young

I.... I was honestly not expecting that ending. I figured things wouldn't turn out well for the boy, but _oh my goodness._
I'm literally trembling....
Appreciate you being one of the many good fans & knowing people will do this though, and I'm certain that if Jack sees your comment he'll be grateful to see understanding :)
Have a really great day, my dude
Yeah, I found out about that and I actually cried. I felt so bad for him. I have lost and grandparents, so I know how it feels. I couldn’t imagine losing one of my parents, that’s so sad. I am thinking once he’s had his time to grieve, hopefully he’ll play it, and let us see him play it. I can wait for however long he needs...I just want him to be okay.
Is that why he took a break?
I'm so sorry to hear that..

The guy we saw "hung" himself in the original game near the start
Glad that someone else caught that. I went to the comments to see how many others saw it and thought this, and this was the only one I saw (without going too far down the list). Maybe there's another DLC coming out related to that?
I wonder who he is
its speculated in some theories that he's six's father who couldn't bare letting her be exiled and eaten
imo i think the maw may have been an imperial families getaway yacht/island deal, the woman with her family (a couple sisters at least) would go out there, and eventually decided to let tourists in as well. to appeal to tourism, they made it into something taboo and desirable (to certain tourists) by having "gourmet" food. they may have even offered sexual services back in the day, but the masked woman we see now maybe WASNT that highly desired, and she took offense to that, possibly killing her sisters for no competition. and as she got older she just went further and further into madness.
I thought it was sayori.
I'm on board with the Hanged Guy being Six's Dad ... tbh idk y i assumed a dad figure or at least a man will appear near the end .. since we get to know about The Lady now ...maybe The Man of the Maw XD

The Singing DreamCatcher 1 thank god I've been commenting that for so long
So the Runaway Kid, who really did nothing wrong and was good with all of the nomes/kids got eaten by Six, while Six, who is a monster, got to escape...
@@thatmonkben2961 But she ended up being bad... Cannibal with demonic powers...

I’m going to assume you didn’t read past “Six wasn’t a monster,”
Also how do you know the source of her powers are demonic.

Or something like that , 'cuz i heard sixth one was the starve ( maybe that is why only Six had to eat to keep herself alive ) sin ( the sixth one. )
That makes sense! Especially since the Runaway Kid doesn’t eat or needs to eat throughout all the DLC’s
No the never intended to make a dlc until after LN got so much support the runaway kid is my favorite character but he was just a filler character he didn't do anything to change the ending and that's sad

Azazura Azura I know. It's just what he calls her, and I think it's funny.
AquaticEmber06 I think we were seeing a video of him. Remember the secret cameras were never explained.

It's pretty obvious ._.
I didn't think it was obvious, actually ^-^ so I'm glad someone pointed it out, and that the person has the free will and the right to type in whatever theory they have ;)
Thanks for pointing it out, your theory is soooo good *-*
Alyxis Hanson it looks like a thrall hood which of you didn't know means that they are locked with a mask over their face
*Beautiful* just so you know for the future! (:
Pretty good
the lady isn't actually ugly, that's just the way she sees herself in the mirror. it sucks that they don't find some way to explain things that are in the comic and not the game.
idiot science tuna oh, sorry. My bad
Or, or... we could NOT make excuses for poor game design elements, like shoddy controls.
sonicstormer it's not an excuse.

NOOOOOOOO
I don't know if a should cringe or laugh...
Also, why would she go to the trouble of inviting the guests and feeding the children to them if she was absorbing them herself
well the problem with that is thats alot of kids that would need to see her face all the time then.
E
social - disaster The mirrors transform her face like in the comics. She is beautiful, not ugly!!

Instead they're deformed by her magic into the little Nomes which have no visible eyes or mouths, leaving them unable to see her or speak of what they saw.)
Finally, in an endeavor to feel even slightly better about herself, she caters to those who are unarguably uglier and for more repulsive than she is. Her customers are hideous, corpulent gluttons who will eat anything to satisfy this bizarre hungers of theirs, and she gives them what they want to further their images and beings as revolting creatures that she can still hold herself above in any and all regard.
TinyPenguin that theory would also explain why the chefs wear those mask
TinyPenguin before the nome gets eaten by six
he looks at the sausage...
Dang i feel bad for her for some reason
Well... we really don't see the janitor kill Six, so there might be some more about him that we don't know.
Ah well.
Most of it's based on large assumptions anyway.
Timotheuster It’s the broadcaster maybe he his related to the lady because of their tall and thin physique
The tall dude on the tv is the broadcaster in little nightmares 2. I think the broadcaster is the final boss
The tall dude is in LN 2. He has powers that mind controlled the world using radio waves or something.
