One comment about the "loudness" of the band. Read the title Gershwin In Swing" When Gershwin wrote these wonderful tunes swing did not exist. Personally I love it when music, in particularly written decades ago, is interpreted differently. Much of Gershwin's music was written specifically for Fred Astaire. Can you imagine if all singers like Sinatra had sung all those songs the way Astaire did.

J'avais assisté à un stage avec Claude, la gentillesse même ! Et super musicien! Du jazz traditionnel ici dans le plus pur style ...Superbement joué, et chanté, magnifique...Bravo les amis (un ex batteur de Rhoda Scott et d'autres artistes tous styles confondus).
je "reprocherais" juste une chose, oh pas grand chose, rien, il ne swing pas franchement, c'était un merveilleux pianiste, mais il faisait "du Bolling". Je l'ai rencontré trois ou quatre fois en concert à Limoges et ailleurs, j'étais content de marcher, de dîner avec lui et Jean Marie Masse le président du Hot Club de Limoges dans les années 80, il était adorable et dirigeait un des plus bel orchestre de Jazz français qu'il soit possible d'entendre, avec celui de Laurent Mignart.

Quel plaisir d'avoir tout le concert. Magnifique! La partition de "un américain à Paris" est agréablement complexe. Le résultat est fameux. Bolling sait faire swinguer son orchestre. Parfois, c'est trop chargé. Mais c'est vraiment excellent.
