I hope the aim wasn't just to leave it that way like a moulding delete kinda thing because that would look terrible where the channel meets both bumper covers
Heat gun and dental floss. Then goo gone or denatured alcohol to clean the adhesive. Then wash. Then rubbing compound and wax. Wouldve been 10 times easier and probably saved you some rubbing compound work if you hadnt used metal tools on it.
LOL... Yeah, good point ... You always leave the one on the very back of the quarter and the one on the very front of the fender if you don't they won't look right with the bumper...
Thank you! An actual realistic video of these sum betches being removed. Your video was very helpful!
My 88 is being painted black as well and i have the same wheels but mine is a hatchback. Ive always liked the hatchback better than the coupe

Are all the moldings just holding on with 3M doble tape or some have also screws?
This must be a video of how not to do it the right way... Heat gun
heat gun
Heat gun, eraser wheel, 1,500 wet sand, cut and buff! Like new!
Still a good looking Fox body!
Yeah it's actually a solid car in good shape. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Looks horrible with the moldings off. makes no since especially since the bumper is made to meet up to the moldings.
If you ever decide to sell those Pony R wheels, let me know!
Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever used Goo Gone to get rid of the excess tape?
Smdh...better to pull, straighten and replace the moldings. Heat guns (as others stated below) do wonders on the moldings when they start curling.
How about a metal string 😂
Guitar string would eat up the paint
what about the bumpers do they match ?lol

Cringed hard watching you pry with metal tools. Use a heat gun and you could wet sand to blend that hard paint line.
Purdy... just like your mouth 😘
I am 37 seconds in and wondering why there is a metal putty knife being used on such a clean car. 🥲
