I'm going to say it again: "she just walked off and I never seen her again" is the stupidest, most unrealistic, and most overdone excuse ever when someone is trying to get away with murder. It didn't fucking happen, he's a liar.

There's so many holes in that story you could drive an RV through it! I don't know any woman that would stay in the woods cold, muddy and wet overnight. She's most likely out there but not by choice.

I'm not defending any of those men but I am from a very small town like that and I'm a big country girl like her and that's all we ever do is have bon fires and ride 4 wheelers and get muddy we have been in the woods for 3 days before trying to get unstuck out of gas. We love mud and getting dirty.

@@feliciatiffin40 we lived on a farm for 16 years and used ATVs to follow the cattle into the canyon behind our house. I still wouldn't want to stay in the woods cold, wet and muddy. He didn't say anything about a nice cozy bonfire to keep them warm, he said they used the engines of atv's to stay warm which is ridulous in itself.

Rachel, i agree with you. I think dusty wanted to have sex with Samantha and she rejected his advances, so he killed her and buried her deep in the woods. • @EdiHooks0519

I agree but I feel like Ren went into the woods for 5 days and losing her stuff was him ridding possible evidence. Plus, why would you leave her with DUSTY? Of all people, on a ride in the woods? He definitely was high but, somehow angry enough to go home? All a sketchy choice, almost gives me 'ain't no fun if the homies can't have none' vibes. Then... he freaks out and calls moms? A lot of these murderers try to kill themselves during investigations so I'm definitely looking at him and bunker guy sideways!

Thank you for sharing this case, just wanted to add that when you were speaking about her relapse with Meth and how addicts go back to using the same amount as they used before when they had a tolerance and then overdosing this is most commonly found to happen with IV heroin/fentanyl users to overdose in this manner not likely with Meth addicts. Overdosing on Meth unless injecting A LOT- is difficult. Over amping occurs where the body and brain shut down causing ppl to pass out and then wake up hours later. But never have I seen of heard of anyone dying strictly from Meth use alone. I’ve heard of seizures and strokes after long periods of prolonged use which doesn’t seem likely with her just relapsing. All 3 men did something to her :( it’s a tragedy.

When he himself reported her missing and if he knew renn was going into the woods why didnt he follow him unless he didnt know renns plan on killin himself but still why he lie? If he has nothing to hide? I wouldnt be suprised if all of them was in on it! Not her but the men.. That dusty man lied for a reason.. That renn guy was hidin out n that bunker or like was said another one or other hiding places.. Sorry, to tell u this. I'm from a very rural area. The police and everyone in that town know who killed her, and the whole story. They just aren't going to do anything about it.

Here’s my theory. Ren had plans to spend the night at Samantha’s house that night. He was ready to leave but she wanted to stay and ride the atvs so he got mad and went to her place thinking his Dad would bring her home later. He prob fell asleep and woke up to find she never came home. He went back to his Dad’s house. He knew his Dad’s story made no sense so he either thought they had had sex or his Dad had done something to her, depending on how much he trusted either one of them. If he though his Dad had slept with her, that would have been enough of a betrayal for him to want to end it especially with how mentally unstable meth can make you. I completely feel that Dusty did it alone. I think that he prob did try to sleep with her and she declined him so he attacked her. I don’t believe Ren had anything to do with her death. It was Dusty who made up the story and Dusty who burned his phones and made up the bs story. Innocent people don’t burn their phones.

So our area (Graves Co ky) is riddled with trafficking. Wren and dusty sold her, left her in the woods in a bunker that the sheriff at the time helped make and then someone comes at 3am and takes the women/children to where ever tf they take them and then never seen again. She was a very good friend from high school.

Sounds like a father son murder team. Why burn cellphones; only for sinister reasons that I can think of. Also, if these people lived in this area why did they get lost so easily. This all seems so shady. Unless someone talks, or her body is found, I don't see this being solved. There is just too much unknown.

They did it. Shes in the woods. NO DOUBT. How ridiculous was the Dads story! Seriously... Actually both of their stories are moronic. LE I’m sure knows it’s them but no evidence means no charges. What a shame💔

Just wanted to say... family members are not the best judge of if someone is suicidal. Families NEVER want to believe that option and are likely to chase every conspiracy theory because it's more comforting to have a target to blame rather than face the truth. Several cases where suicide happen and the family still refuses to believe it.

The thing is... you can’t exactly overdose on meth. It’s a lot harder than opiates. You’d have to do a whoooole lot. It jus doesn’t.. make sense. Meth is a big thing around here. People overdosing on meth isn’t. Meth psychosis is. But not meth overdoses.

Ren or Dusty killed her at Dustys house while Ren was strung out on meth. They both buried her in the woods that night. What a shady, scary, secretive area full of criminals and meth. Samantha was a part of all that as well. Bad lifestyle, bad company, bad things happen.

Sometimes when someone relapses, they aren’t struggling with anything at all. Sometimes life is going so great that a person’s addiction tells them a little drugging won’t hurt, you’ve got this! Just goes to show that it’s not always so black and white, I definitely think foul play is involved here sadly

  • @primesspct2

Well meth can make people psychotic, or she could have overdosed. By the same token they were all on meth and one of the men could have snapped and killed her. There had to have been a reason Ren thought his father, Dusty did something terrible. This is one crazy weird story with the one being gone for 5 days. I think you are right about them both being involved .

I hope and pray they find her,and for the cops to act like oh shes ok she's high somewhere.Like just because she relapsed and did drugs shes not important that makes me so mad the police could have lost crucial evidence because of that.ughhhhh it makes me mad.People make mistakes, and she wouldn't leave her babies behind.

I find it pretty significant that Ren suspected his father immediately. Dusty’s story makes absolutely no sense. I grew up and live in a rural area of Alabama where riding ATV’s is common. Yet this story Dusty has told is ridiculous. I pray there is justice for her and answers for her family. Thank you Rachel for covering these cases that need more attention on them. Great work.

when you are on meth, you are not thinking strait . There is so many things that could have gone wrong.
oddly she looks a lot like my cousin Samantha, who also had issues with drug abuse. Its a little eerie to be honest.
    I hope more is uncovered.

This.. after being in a horrible relationship with someone who does meth its easy to say that families really don't know what the person on drugs would do. Even so it definitely seems like the guys are all involved.

I think Dusty killed her and left her lying in the woods. Then Dusty told Ren that her body was in the woods, Ren went out to try to find her and get rid of her body. He stayed there for several days. That's why her keys made it back to the woods.

So I think Rhen and his dad are both involved. IF the keys were really found by the ATV, how could Rhen have driven her car around after? Rhen did an interview about all this and contradicts himself. He says he passed a lie detector test but his dad's wasn't passing. He says he doesn't know where the ATV was found as he "doesn't go over that area much." But describes the exact location. What I found most notable is he says straight out that he doesn't believe his dad's story and that he knows something but then says he doesn't think he's involved as "she got into something before" and that "they were being followed". If he thought it was important enough to take her things into the woods, why would he have lost them? I also think it is odd that the uncle was at the house and if Rhen is telling any of the truth "kicked Rhen off the property".

I think one thing that is lost on everyone is that there is a distinct difference in a mother of 3 that has no known risky behavior other than driving her kids to school and back on the same route versus a meth addict. Not that a meth addict shouldn’t be looked for but police don’t have unlimited resources. They have to prioritize cases based on staffing, budgets etc. it’s great to think all of that is unlimited but it’s not. In an age where millions are calling for the police to be defunded 🙄 maybe we should consider that we don’t know what the police department had going on. It’s a fact that drug addicts do routinely drop off the radar unlike a non drug addict mother of 3 like maya milliete. I guess what I’m saying is that it’s easy to coach from the sidelines. We should all remember that when we relentlessly criticize law enforcement for everything that they do.
