JonBenet Ramsey (born JonBenet Patricia Ramsey in Atlanta, Georgia on August 6, 1990) was a six-year-old American girl who was tragically murdered in her home. At an early age, she began performing in beauty pageants and won the titles of America’s Royale Miss, Little Miss Charlevoix, Little Miss Colorado, Colorado State All-Star Kids Cover Girl, and National Tiny Miss Beauty. Her mother, Patricia “Patsy” Ramsey, discovered her daughter was missing after finding on the kitchen staircase a two-and-a-half-page ransom letter demanding $118,000 for her safe return. Despite the specific instructions in the ransom note that police and friends should not be contacted, Patsy telephoned the police anyways. The two officers who arrived at the Ramsey home conducted a cursory search of the house but did not find any sign of a break-in. JonBenet’s body was found after her father, John Bennet Ramsey, and two of his friends started their search in the basement. After first searching the bathroom and the “train room,” they went into a wine cellar room, where John found his daughter’s body covered in her special white blanket. The results of the autopsy revealed that she died by asphyxiation due to strangulation and craniocerebral trauma.
JonBenet Ramsey was buried at St. James Episcopal Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia, on December 31. JonBenét was interred next to her half-sister Elizabeth Pasch Ramsey, who had died in a car crash nearly five years earlier at age 22.
The mysterious murder of JonBenét Ramsey has a new chance of being resolved 27 years after the 6-year-old girl was found strangled to death in the basement of her family’s home in Boulder, Colo.
The Colorado Cold Case Team has revisited nearly 30-year-old evidence and is prepared to share its findings and recommendations with the rest of the world.
The Cold Case Investigators are looking through evidence from nearly three decades ago, as it is believed the Boulder Police ignored key clues in an effort to allow JonBenét’s parents to seem guilty of the crime. - Розваги

Still in disbelief this case hasn't been solved. She's 9 months younger than me. I researched her story for a college class in 2009 and the autopsy photos are heartbreaking. I really hope her family can find peace soon. Beautiful vid Scott.
I read a few years ago the FBI had been able to get DNA but won't release the results

I really feel for her father, lost 2 daughters tragically then his wife, son being accused as well as knowing his poor wife died being the prime suspect, man that’s a lot. Every interview he seems like a wonderful man. Some people get more than their share.
Her family was most definitely involved. There are way too many things that aren't right with that case.
Brother is guilty, father hid this. He knew otherwise how did he know where her body was!!

The entire family was cleared when DNA from several different places on that poor baby showed it was no one in her family. Completely unidentified person broke into that home, used a stun gun on that poor girl TWICE, tortured, abused and killed her. She and her family deserve justice!

Heartbreaking that it has been 28 years since her death and still no closure. I was 16 when this happened. I feel with the advancements in DNA technology I am glad the cold case unit decided to reopen the case. Hopefully soon there will be justice for this beautiful angel. R.I.P jonbenet!

The newsman that covered Jon Bonet's murder knew the family from covering the dance recitals too. The weird thing is, he used to be a news anchor where I live before leaving to work in Colorado. He covered a well publicized child murder in our town while working here. After Colorado, he left to be a news anchor in San Diego where I read news of a well publicized child murder. You guessed it! He covered that one too! Coincidence? There are no coincidences. Peace and Blessings.

i was only 8 yrs old when this happend, so i don't remember hearing anything much about this story, but as i got older and i watched the vids on her and about the case i learned what happened. It's just crazy how they still haven't solved this case..poor lil girl! amazing job Scott!!

I was in Atlanta afew years ago and I had to stop by there it was very disturbing because this case should have been solved years ago

I didn’t realize she was buried here in Georgia. I work about 15 minutes away from that cemetery. You were also near the filming location of The Haunting of Hill House right off the Marietta Square.
The stun gun theory has been out since the day we learned about JonBenets death. I have every single tabloid and magazine that was released in the US and some also from overseas that covered her death, and that was one of the very first claims, that a stun gun was used. So Im not sure why you are only hearing of this recently.
A stun gun wasn't used... Lou Smit was way off on that...
@joeneil5485 Well, it definitely wasn't used to subdue her to get her out of her room. It could have been used during whatever took place just before she died.

So sad! She was my age. I remember going to the grocery stores too and seeing all the magazine covers. I opened one too and saw pictures of the crime scene. They never left my mind. 😢

I was in Aurora, Colorado, when this happened and remember the marks of the stun gun being reported from the very beginning!! Why they were not followed up on is a total mystery!! The whole case was botched from the very beginning due to the ignorance and inexperience on the part of the Boulder Police who seemed to focus exclusively on the parents to the exclusion of everything else!! Because of this we may never find out what really happened and who killed JonBennet!!

I, too visited this grave a few years ago. The cemetery is very old & there’s something about it that is somewhat haunting. There are one or two Georgia governors buried there, as well as other renown Georgia folks. It took me a few minutes to find these graves, but my heart was so touched when I found them, especially the one of little JonBenet. It is one of the saddest cases ever. I’ve done extensive research on this case & the Ramseys were issued an apology by the DA’s office a year or so after Patsy died. They were officially off the hook & no longer suspects (after all that devastation).
The reason for them being absolved is because there was finally some DNA found that was determined to be that of a Caucasian male & it didn’t match that of anyone in the child’s circles. You would think that by now they would have found a match with somebody, given all the ancestry websites that are now popular. Even if the the murderer is no longer living, he could be tracked down with sibling DNA. That’s been happening quite a bit these days. If & when it is ever solved, it will make big headlines all over everywhere.
So terribly sad. 💔
The police allowed people in the crime scene and tamper with evidence. Someone could have planted their DNA on the body to prevent her mom from being convicted. If this "mysterious" DNA hasn't been identified for decades, it's because of a cover up. I think a police officer at the crime scene was paid off by Jon Benet's parents.
Everyone just conveniently forgets the hand written ransom letter found in Patsy's handwriting...along with the "practice" ones thrown in the trash can. This doesn't denote the behavior of either an intruder or an innocent mother.
The graves need to be cleaned. RIP JON BENET, PATSY AND ELIZABETH.

I remember the information on the stun gun and the other little girl years ago. I'll never forget this case. My son was 2 years old when this happened. It still breaks my heart.

About 10 years ago I created a CAD walkthrough of the Ramsey house using a floor plan I found online, as well as a synopsis of the events that took place that night and the day after. Built the house in virtual space, basement-to-top floor. Anyway, just being able to walk through the house made me feel a little closer to the case. Yes, it was very creepy walking through such a rambling, large house (though virtually) where a murder had taken place. I still find the case fascinating, since so much time has passed, and yet they’ve never conclusively found the person who did it.
My grandfather is buried in this same cemetery! I live about three miles from it. I pass by and visit it often. I knew JBR had ties to Marietta, but I did not realize she was buried so close to my home and family members. Bless her soul, I hope she’s been resting in peace since her tragic passing. 😔

Hopefully this case will be solved, From what I recall, Police ignored the fact that there had been a rash of break-ins in that area. And Legal Analysts said Boulder DIDNT have experience in those types of cases and that they should have brought in say Denver, then things would have turned out differently. A suspect named/ charged etc.

I hope the DNA evidence can be used to help find her killer, as the technology has evolved tremendously since 1996. The one thing about the case that has puzzled me the most, is the ransom note, and the circumstances surrounding it. Thank you for honoring that little girl, and safe travels, Scott.
I hope and pray that this case gets solved, and justice is done for this poor little girl. How sick someone has to be to do something like this to a baby. Absolutely heartless. With all of this technology there just has to be a way to figure it out. Hopefully these new sets of eyes will see something that could break the case. My maternal grandmother lived and died in Maietta Georgia, and I was there last October. When I go back there again later this year, I had already planned to visit JonBenet's grave. Your video just reminded me of that. May this little girl rest in peace and her family finally be able to get some closure ❤ 💐

She was murdered by a intruder. Her mother died because of all this. This poor family was harassed and had to deal with a child lost! People need to remember these kids were loved!

I knew people in Colorado that have ties to this case I read all the manuscripts my friend's mother had dated a man who had been accused of this heinous crime it's dear to my heart and I still follow this case. Lou Smit believed a stun gun was used all those years ago when investigating the case and he even experimented with the pig skin recreating the exact same marks - I'm 100% sure the answer is in his files somewhere and I know his family still continue to seek justice for JonBenet and the family. It can feel ghoulish watching videos about crime and murder but this was handled so sensitively and with such empathy that it didn't feel that way at all. Fingers crossed this case is solved soon.

How would they not have DNA of the perpetrator(s)?
They can track it through familial DNA! This case should be the first case any DNA expert should wanna solve.
What I don't understand is why can't this case be solved.
