I used mine for evacuating air from power steering/hydro-boost on my 4th gen after installing new lines and pump. Not sure if it matters but i put a bulkhead fitting in lid and ran a hose to bottom of vacuum chamber. My theory is that it minimizes vapors from the incoming fluids from going directly into the vacuum pump. I also use the system for removing air from epoxies when i turn stuff on my lathe(wood).

Looks decent. For what it is that vevor stuff isn't bad (as a guy who almost always buys expensive name brand tools). My vacuum pump is medical surplus and was free99. Love it for bleeding brakes and clutches.
