it wasn't as bad as I expected. Sure, there's the slowdown. The fixed camera is a hassle. The cap on how many points you can have at one time is useless and stupid. There's obnoxious slowdown in the later fights. None of the heroic sacrifices make any sense because everyone has jetpacks and could get away. I don't see the urgency in stopping Mother because it's not like she wants to replace humans with her dinosaur-human hybrids or destroy the earth, she literally only wants to take them to some place they can live and isn't it complexly hypocritical to care about Karen, who also isn't human, while condemning the hybrids to death in space...
But, uh, the jetpack seems fun if you've got a handle on it. The attack drones are a cool weapon, and those ship transformation were clearly somebody's baby. Honestly, I came away thinking 3 is the one that needs a remake. 1 and 2 are already good games. 3 is the one that need another pass to work out the mistakes and polish into something worthwhile.
