  • City of West Hollywood Mayor Sepi Shyne and Councilmember Lauren Meister provide a welcome and introduction to the symposium about the changing relationship between public and private open space in the City of West Hollywood.
West Hollywood City Architect Ric. Abramson, FAIA, highlights the importance of public open space in the local context, and the increasingly overlapping relationship between public and private uses, from delivery services in the public right-of-way to pocket parks, plazas, paseos, and private community-oriented gardens. Ric. discusses important socio-cultural, economic, and ecosystem benefits provided by these publicly accessible spaces through case studies and examples.
The POPS + PARTS Symposium was presented by the City of West Hollywood Urban Design & Architecture Studio and Green Team and examines the dynamic, changing relationship between public and private open space in West Hollywood.
