As a kid learning to ride my dad would make me go down long dry sand rivers and say, "when you can ride good in the sand you will be able to ride good anywhere." I rode in the sand all the time and burned up two different engines. As I got older I would go to Glamis and ride, with huge dune mountains for over 300 miles, it's epic. You can find some of the largest jumps ever, you just have to have an eye for them. Great ride RR, looks amazing. For being on that heavy bike you cruised though there really nice!
The contrast between the blue sky and the sand is amazeballs! Vid looks good! They should give that patrol officer a Trail 90 with a paddle tire to cruise around on! lol! CHEERS !
That's a long dual sport ride from Emmet, especially to a place that doesn't seem too friendly to two wheels. I took my dirt bike to Pismo beach back in the day once, ended up buying an ATC just for the dunes.
Yeah, riding on deep sand is very squirrely. I felt a bit out of control, especially with my dual sport tires on! The DRZ needs about 30 more horsepower as well.

That’s awesome! He was right about sand! Once you can ride around in sand you should be fine in all kinds of terrain.

Yeah, im not used to seeing dunes so they were fun! I didnt enjoy riding them, but the scenery was cool.
Many, many great hours of fun out there when I was student in Eastern Idaho.
Brrraaapppp!
Sounds like a good time! Its like having your own gigantic sand box to play in.
It's amazing how hard the sand is when face planting.

Great video! Brings back memories!
yeah buddy! That place was right in your back yard!
Loose sand can be super challenging! Nice ride
Thank you sir! I got my fix, lol. The drone shots are always so sick!!🤙
Patrolling on a 450 in the dunes wow dream job
Yeah, that would be pretty fun! I wouldn’t like messing with people unless they are being REALLY stupid though.
You have guts attempting to ride a Duel Sport on those dunes...
I’ve burnt up a few machines there. But on fresh wind blown dunes on a raked out old WR500Z with a paddle tire was magical...
