I'm East Asian and seeing this entire look labeled as just Asian is actually so rare and empowering! In America, South Asians are rarely represented as Asians, so it's refreshing to see how the U.K. recognizes them.

Most of the people here are ignorant of the fact that Ambreen the MUA here is one of the top 5 makeup artists in all of UK for Asian bridal makeup! Indian Pakistani Bangladeshi south Asian etc all types of Asian bridals she's done. This makeup look is a generic Asian bridal look & a heavy bridal look is what most of all Asian brides wear especially with our extravagant lenghas. In America etc, Asian usually refers to oriental/eastern Asians, whereas in the UK, Asian usually refers to Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, since in the UK there are a lot more south Asians than eastern Asians, but Asians is correct for BOTH groups. Everyone wants to get hurt over everything nowadays.

Literally by 1st grade my whole class found out it was an actual contury and by 4th most knew that it is located Asia, yet still didn't think it was asian. LIKE BITCH WTF ASIA ASIANS. literally we started learning about India in history class recently and this girl said that India was located in Europe and I was laughing my head off like shit I was crying even its in asia.

its just awesome. Makeup artist gave full description of the product, the way to use it, and why its being used. And the model turned out to be a beautiful bride. Instead of doing a drag queen makeup, this was the first video with just an enhacement of the features. good job.

This artists work is fantastic. Very thorough and detailed. What a makeup video should be. The model was simple looking but she made her look stunning. This is rare to see as most artists hold back and don't share their tips this honestly. Most Asians would want a flawless, precise and clean bridal look. Any good artist would know that Asian brides have full on outfits with jewellery and to carry everything together the makeup and hair has to be on point. This is a damn good watch well done Mac and the artist.
Finally! love to have seen something specific for indian/brown skin tones. it's not easy finding what works for this genre. Asian referring to indian/Pakistani/benagli etc skin tones in uk. Such an informative and helpful vid definitely will help me perfect my application techniques with this step by step look! Love the product list can't wait to get me some new stuff and try to recreate!

"this doesn't represent all Asians" no, but it DOES represent A LOT of Asians. keep in mind India is the 2nd most populated country IN THE WORLD(aside from China) also keep in mind this style of bridal makeup is done not only in India but Pakistan, a decent amount of Arab countries(yes they're part of Asia aside from Egyptians) and even in South east Asian countries like Thailand, Cambodia etc we wear bolder makeup, red dresses, lots of jewelry etc. so no, it couldn't just be called "Indian bridal makeup" or "south Asian bridal makeup" cause it also includes central Asian bridal and southeast Asian bridal.
but still you can't call it Asian bridal look, maybe something more specific. Also people from Thailand or Cambodia have different face shape than those from India or Pakistan, so concerning to this look, definitely not Asian
So, if there is a bridal look from somewhere like China or Korea u can call it Asian look, and not for India or Pakistan, lol
nina zhang we are talking about a makeup LOOK not facial features. that's like doing a cut crease or contour on east Asian and saying "that's not a cut crease because east Asians don't have the same eyelid type" lol and BTW with Indians I personally see more round and square faces, commonly. like aishwarya rai or kareena kapoor. same with east Asians. the only difference is east Asians tend to have wider jaws and wider cheekbones due to han. southeast Asia were mixed with Tamil or southern Indian that's why southeast Asians have slimmer round faces and probably why double eyelids are way more common.

For Americans "Asian" mostly referred to East-Asians (Japanese, Chinese, Koreans and so on) but in Europe (or at least in UK) Asian mostly referred to Indians and Middle eastern (Pakistanis , Iranians and Arab world citizens) and Yes we are all Asians. So if Asia is limited to China or Korea to you, you should take your geography courses once again.

The term 'asian' is widely used in the uk and referred to indian, pakistani etc whereas i know people from abroad use the term asian to refer to chinese, korean etc so it just depends on where you are from

Everyone else is arguing over the definition of Asian whilst I wonder at just the amount of make up on the model's eyes! Asia btw is a continent, Indians, Iraqis, Japanese, Koreans, Cambodians, Chinese, Saudi Arabians are ALL Asian. The Middle East is not a continent, it's referring to countries like Iran, Iraq, Qatar etc which are on the Asian continent. Anyway, as a non-Asian the eye make up is stunning I think for a wedding. Beautiful make up and we all know there are different looks within each continent so let's be mature and just enjoy the video. There are lots of make up tutorial looks for different cultures on UA-cam.
