Well - you certainly can transfer your skills and techniques to n gauge!
Fantastic result - thank you so much
Thanks Colin. It was a good exercise. I think I’ll look out for a few more n gauge wagons
Take me back to when my son was 6 months old I got a fleishmsnn N train set from beaties I had a farish 08& a 47also a minitrix 27 in green a bit worn paint wise I made a small layout on a notice board my son would sit on my knee and just watch my wife would laugh he’s too young ,back then I detailed the 27 and it was mint not using glasses but my own young eyes I was 22 and worked for Royal Mail as a driver ,now I need the Hubble telescope to do close work 😂but I’m working in OO enjoying at the moment restoring some models I got as bargains from Liverpool store making them like new ,great posting thank you
Thank you for watching. Always great to hear your comments 👍🏼
Found the N gauge video and that was brilliant. Looking forwards to more.
Regards Chris
Thanks Chris. There will be more N gauge coming up
Ahh, great to see the skills can be applied to N gauge/N scale without too much adaption! Nice work!
One good thing about N gauge weathering is that it use much less paint too! 😂
As always man great effort.
I always find it amazing how the thinners drag pigment along fine lines. It's almost like auto painting, makes my life easier!
Adding that wagon Load really finished it all off nicely 👍
Yes, you can’t beat a good capillary action! I love science 😂
Great video. Some excellent weathering going on.
Thank you. And thank you for watching 😎
Most informative, thank you 👍
Glad it was helpful!
I have those 'glasses' as well. They work wonders.Maybe its time to weather an 0 guage truck!
Yeah! I’ve got O gauge wagons in reserve ! 😂

Did I say that? 😂. I’ll have to watch it again. Thanks for tuning in again buddy 👍🏼👍🏼
Don't know what happened but your site somehow disappeared from my subscribers list and as I am getting more into the hobby I went looking for it and it took me ages to eventually find your site again as I really had no idea what I was looking for.
So having found it and going through your videos which I might add are not only instructive but are very enjoyable to watch, I watched this one and when you use Vallejo Varnish on the wagon do you paint it on or use a air brush. Asked this as I dont have an air brush yet.?
Loved it that you showed adding the barrels, so impressed that when I want some I know where to go.
Regards Chris
Varnishes are best applied with an airbrush. With paint brushes the final result is less smooth and you'll run the risk of re-activating the previous acrylics and disturbing the effect
I model in N... that was great, can you use that dry brush tequnique with acrylics?.... if not, what type of silver paint was that
Yes. The silver is metallic steel by Vallejo model air metallic. It is an acrylic.
Do more n gauge. That’s sound.
I'm hoping to do more very soon
😁😁👍👍
Thank you
