If you didn’t already you should listen to Pathetiqe (I prefer the illustration by Daniel Barenboim). It made me emotional while I read Lucian preform it and listened to it at the same time. The novel describes it perfectly.
And I personally prefer to imagine he wasn’t playing moonlight sonata by Beethoven for Natasha but he was playing Clair de lune(which also translate to moonlight) - by Debussy. It’s my personal opinion because I believe moonlight sonata is more mature and Clair de lune fits better for Lucian who was 17 at the time. (Also Clair de lune is my favorite piece of classical music ;)
