Back in the day (1994-1995), I was fortunate enough to take both the Air Force tour and the NASA tour that were offered at Edwards AFB and Dryden Flight Research Center (now called Armstrong). I also was able to tour the AFFTC Museum. Both places ooze aerospace history and both point the way to the future. Sadly, these are now closed to the public. I consider myself very fortunate to have had the experiences.
We still give tours! It's just a little more difficult now with security measures. The Flight Test Historical Foundation is actively campaigning to finish building a new museum outside of the gates so everyone can visit!
I love these smart people and warriors! I never reached this level. I got to be in the Air Force 1962 to 66. What level I had then has slipped but I'm 83!
If I was 35 years younger and I was born in the US.. I see americans complaining about their country, but they don't realize the oportunities they have to excel and be a positive impact for your country.
I think people do not understand that we have a responsibility to make our country a better place to live, and a core part of that (and protected constitutional right) is to be critical of things that do not serve the betterment of it
I think these guys should just cut to the chase and say, "we are so ridiculously cool, and ridiculously good looking, and doing the most coolest things ever, and we are insulted when people regard us as the best of the best, because we are THE BEST of the best of the best, no one is better or cooler than us". I think they should just remake this video where they chant those few sentences just to reassure us all that they are ridiculously amazing.
45 years ago, was selected for the FTE program. Changed my life completely. Best times of my life.

Are there any documentaries about the school, like of the kind the Discovery Channel used to show?
The Flight Test Historical Foundation is working on one! This is a brief version.
Is this for fighter jets only? My friend was accepted to fly a c130 plane and did not go to Eddwards.
per aspera ad astra 🗽 ✨🤝🎖️
If only I was 30 years younger!
