You're the man Adrian! I love watching all your videos. So much accurate information. I will be in the Vista area in a couple weeks and can't wait to hit up some of the local fruit tree nurseries there🌿🌱☘😄
One of the things I like best about this yard situation is the cultural carryover-- plant types to goats and chickens. :D You do your ancestors proud as well as the rest of us. (with limited experience I found a modest size machete knife takes bananas down fast and effectively, the soft fibrous nature doesn't lend itself to a chainsaw)
You should try IV Organics on the trees for sun protection and it's all organic. I use it on all my trees and it works great. Just a thought, and I reside in Riverside CA
Nice to see you posting again! Everything looks great. I loved seeing the Cherimoyas. I have a 2 yr old El Bumpo that I was hoping would self pollinate. Looks like I'm going to have to squeeze another variety in next to it. Maybe a Fino or Honeyhart. I'm in Long Beach. I enjoy your channel.
Patty G you shouldn’t need another variety, try hand pollinating some of the flowers next time. Take pollen from flowers during the male stage and put on flowers in the female stage.
@@socalbackyardorchard3768 I'll try that next time. I have so many other fruit trees I'm trying to grow, so one Cherimoya tree is enough for me. Thanks for your help!
Watching your video from the tropical island of the Philippines. I have some of the fruit trees and plants you have in your garden like loquat, avocado, surinam cherry, banana to name a few. I love watching all garden tour videos.
So I have this weird brogdon avocado tree. It’s been in ground maybe three years. It’s only about six feet tall. It’s kinda stopped growing. The trunk is about two inches thick and it’s got about ten side branches but only has leaves at the ends of the branches. This leaves the trunk exposed to the sun. The trunk has actually grown some bark. It’s not dying but it’s not really growing or putting on new leafs and branches. Should I water it daily? What you think? What can I do to make it happy? It’s getting full sun. The ground seems to drain well. I live in Florida and it’s been low 90s each day. I’ve been giving it about 15 gallons of water ever five days
Depends on your climate around here it takes a banana plant about 1 year to produce bananas. Each plant will only produce one rack of bananas, so after harvesting bananas the plant should be removed to allow the pups to grow out better.
Im in LA near downtown same zone 10a got two cherimoyas pierce and gefner just started planting stuff around my house but trees are looking good theres alot of bees around because these little yellow flowers grow all over my house and bees love them
Another great tour thanks. I surely wished I had some of your weather here in the UK to help with my tropical fruit plants. Fortunately some of the exotics I have will survive frosts 🤩🤩
Christian hernandez I have had better look with Mexican Papayas, they get bigger and are very sweet. I bought some at Home Depot that did great and I also have 2 large Mexican papayas that a friend grew from seeds brought from Veracruz Mexico
Jose Vasquez Here where I live since it doesn’t get very cold it seems to be evergreen. It will drop all it’s older leaves soon but new ones are coming out at the same time.
Great video.
Really enjoy your videos and i'm learning alot. Im watching from Chula Vista.
Edric Paul good to see another gardener from Chula Vista who watches his videos

Updates on the garden spring2020
No bananas on my tree yet! How often do the banana trees produce?

Dude, that’s sunburnt!
Cannot wait for my avocado to fruit
Im in LA near downtown same zone 10a got two cherimoyas pierce and gefner just started planting stuff around my house but trees are looking good theres alot of bees around because these little yellow flowers grow all over my house and bees love them
How much land you got I got a few fruit trees myself like coconut 🌴 I'm in Houston tx
Chris here from perris Ca, I go down to Oceanside to take the kids pier fishing. I think your off 76 not too far from me.
4:48 I let below/graft branches grow, and graft or practice grafting my own new varieties on those branches. Same with root suckers
’e-ḇen great idea 👍

Which papaya is the best producer and quality?
Christian hernandez I have had better look with Mexican Papayas, they get bigger and are very sweet. I bought some at Home Depot that did great and I also have 2 large Mexican papayas that a friend grew from seeds brought from Veracruz Mexico
The Mexican papayas seem to take the cold better than others too
Are you giving any fertilizer yet?(specifically on your avocados) I purchased the fish emulsion but haven't used it yet
Jason Ibarra not yet but I will soon
Cauliflower?
Is the Pakistaní mulberry an evergreen tree?
Jose Vasquez Here where I live since it doesn’t get very cold it seems to be evergreen. It will drop all it’s older leaves soon but new ones are coming out at the same time.
