Pac’s rhyme scheme was insane in this verse...
Agree
The whole he goes crazy
I love pac but the scheme is simple
@@transition4522 You wouldn't be saying the same thing if this was Nas' verse...
@@marijancorluka4500 Facts, if Nas rapped the same lyrics as a song like Blasphemy, people would praise how complex and well put together the lyrics are, but since it's Pac, he's just a poet that invokes emotion, smh
The alliteration was crazy on this song bruh, that’s why when people said Pac wasn’t a lyricist, I point them to this song.
yeah sure and that's true, but at the same time doing something once doesnt make you that thing. like russ, thought he could get out rapped by a bunch of legends on a little 5 song EP & then go back to his regular shit and thought everyone was gonna treat him like an emcee now lol. it doesnt matter though cause Pac is possibly the greatest rapper ever and if hes not hes right there, he doesnt need to be super lyrical. but yeah when I first heard this song I was like "Ooooooooooohhh!!!"
@@darkskinwhite I agree, but at least it shows that he is capable. However lyricism was never the reason why Pac is widely accepted as one of the greatest of all time. It was his charisma and message. In fact I think if he had been focused on being lyrical all the time, he wouldn’t be able to touch and affect as many people and in the way that he did. He was relatable and had the charisma of a leader, that’s why people gravitate towards him. And also in my opinion, lyricism isn’t only confined to metaphors, multi-syllables, etc.; being poetic is also a form of lyricism and Pac was always a poet. So he was a lyricist in my eye in that sense, but for other people who view being lyrical as rhyme patterns, multi-syllables, etc., I point them to this song as to say Pac can do that too.
@@darkskinwhite My fault I ain’t read the second part when I replied lolll but my point stands and I think you would agree too.
@@darkskinwhite Pac did it all the time, you just don't know it.
@@marijancorluka4500 you dont know what I know or dont know. I grew up on Tupac, oh I know alright.
It's amazing how Pac could be the greatest rapper of all time but be underrated as a lyricist at the same time. He was the whole package: attitude, star power, lyrics, flow, wisdom and roughness.
He definitely was the whole package 📦..don't forget he has the best delivery... it makes most rappers mad that he lacks nothing so they try to tear him down by downplaying his technical skills
Yes, 2pac the GOAT. 🐐
If he wanted he was a Beast on that Mic.He was lyrically a Genius..He didnt take his Time with his Tracks...he was in a Rush..I can not think of a Rapper who could outrap him in the same given Time to the MC..Like give him 1 Hour to write a Song Lyrics and give B.I.G. 1 Hour I swear Pac would out lyric Biggie so bad..Its just Facts
hes already the greatest
Until now no body like him
In a interview Eminem said, Pac was a great lirycist for this song, he was right 🔥
*Songwriter
@@nishants2691 hes both lmao
Can you fuckers go one video without talking about your white savior

''They say pussy and paper is poetry, power and pistols''I was listening to this song to day, one of my favourite! Tupac is truly a great a master.
Such a great opening line from a great album being the first track 🔥
Tupac doesn't rhyme nonsense like most modern rappers, he actually creates a story and it makes sense, such a powerful artist
And I that’s what throws everyone off is because he’s actually saying something and it seem what he say over power his LYRICAL talent
If people say "Pac wasn't a great lyricists" just show them this verse, impressive alliteration at the beginning of the verse, this is just a flawless verse that deserves more credit then it gets. R.I.P Tupac Shakur, one of the greatest to ever do it🙏🏼🕊️
Even a so called "bad" lyricist back then was better than the best today. The bar was just too high in the 90s with Illmatic Dropping a year before this, Ready to Die and Doe or Die
@@thomassankara1391 not better than the best today still wrong but I understand ur point
Most of Pac's work is lyrical tbh, he always offers some food for thought in his verses. I get why some may say Pac may be overrated but he really was a GOAT rapper in every sense of the word.
@Yin Yang who is then eminem?
@Yin Yang also it's not all about lyrics homie what a rapper makes him the best is lyrics, flow, dicorgraphy, storytelling, freestyle, rhetoric, technique, impact, vocabulary, work ethic, charisma, rhytm, creativity, content, delivery not just lyrics
Pac will forever be the Goat, his lyricism was insane, Pac was an underated Lyrical MC this track showed his lyricism and beautiful alliteration, such an amazing song thanks @Highlighted for covering this amazing verse.
Tupac's opening bars are always flames.
See you really listen. I peep you bro. 💯
How TF exist ppl with their mouth saying „Pac wasn’t a lyricist“? He’s one of a goat lyricist ever.
*This was the song that helped me realize that I was sleeping on 2Pac’s lyrical ability.*
To be honest. Pac was very capable of being extremely lyrical, he just never really showed it. Probably cus it wasn't his preferred rap style. I recommend checking out a track called Representin for Ron G. It was recorded right before he got shot at quad in 94 (first shooting in NY.) His verse is lyrical and extremely haunting. You'll see why. The track features Stretch, keith murray and some other dude I forgot the name of
@@appieLolthey mixed it with Big L on a song called deadly combination it’s very good and is more clear
@@dkabyss7035 yup. Imo pac still was the hardest on that remix
@@appieLol I agree although big L is very underrated would’ve been one of the greatest mcs
@@appieLol Y'all gotta start really listening to Pac before making comments like this? He never really showed it. Wtf is (All OG versions) All Out, Everything They Owe, Who do you Believe in, Street Fame, First 2 Bomb, Mama's just a little Girl, When Thugz Cry, Tears of a clown, Black Jesus, As the World Turns, Still I rise, Letter to the President, Runnin on E, Ghetto Stars, Things are Changing, Ballad of a Dead Soulja, Panther Power, etc then. That's all unreleased Originals. Now let's go with released tracks. Ain't Hard to find, Me against the World, Point the rings, Words of Wisdom, I don't give a fuck, Heartz of men, Only GOD can Judge me, Hold Ya Head, Blasphemy, Life if an Outlaw,Young Nigga, Old School, Hail Mary, Me and My Girlfriend, Trading War Stories, Niggaz Done Changed, Troublesome 96, Against All ODDS, Papaz song, etc. You don't listen to Pac right & it shows. Those songs have great lyricism and many more Do too. You just don't listen
Lyricism is one thing. But as I've gotten older, what they lyrics actually mean has become way more important. And on that metric there's no one like Pac.
His rhyme scheme/pattern on "Temptations" was epic!
one of the best verses of all time. no cap.
this is one of the reasons he's the goat he was capable of everything here you see multisyllable rhyming which they say pac couldn't do but he killed it,complex but yet simple while having meaning not just like rappers that want to impress,he was very versatile, look at the song temptation you see his rhyme scheme is different and developing or writing emotional songs most rappers can't do that
"pockets is packed! with presidents, peruse your riches" - 2pac
Finally.. this pac s verse is untouchable, and they somehow say he ain t lyrical, thanks for acknowledging pac s skills as an mc ✌
"Hate to sound sleazy but tease me, I don't want it if it's that easy" RIP LEGEND, never forgotten ❤
2PAC is a GOAT. RIP 2PAC.
2pac was a super star before deathrow
“Hit the weed”
Rhymes with
“With my peeps”
Should have highlighted it as a rhyme scheme
not cool
He had already said weed before that, so I think he didn't highlight it on purpose.
Good point
@FEDSJ you must be an expert on rhyming
Second verse is colder 🥶
This further typifies why he's the GOAT. RIP PAC!
When I first heard this song I knew it was special
I'm asking for it on every rhyming channel
98' freestyle by Big L
@ali baba I saw it, I even was first one to comment it
L is so underrated
I don’t care what nobody says Tupac was definitely a lyricist! No debate!
The the rhyming alliteration is insane
Forever with that heat
Thank you
🙏 RIP Pac
I was waiting for this. The alliteration in all 3 verse is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Pac is your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper. My dude wrote this at 24 👀
23 because it was before june 1995 ! :)
"But charge them hoes(holes), the game should be sold(sewed)", notice how Pac pronounces the words
@aryan raina okay
Picture Perfection Pursuing Paper with a Passion
He used the letter p in this song like crazy
Bro the way he started the track you can feel the passion and flow and just the lyrics mane is just magnificent mfs say he ain’t lyrical better check this joint out… 💯🔥🐐
In my opinion, one of hist most lyrical songs ever!🔥
Great alliteration by Pac
Now heeere we can see the lyricist pac, not the comercial. One of the top 10, for sure.
This verse made me sit back in my seat like:
Fuck.
the alliteration was beautiful
Pac was very lyrical man..The fact that he uses words start with the same sound is also rhyme.. the “(si)ck of (psy)chotic, (so)o(ci)ety (so)mebody (s)ave me..” is that not rhyme because it’s not the end of the word? I say it is.
Actually it's called alliteration so it is a form of poetry but I also do see your point in the fact that it all rhymes. Maybe Pac was just such a g that it was both at the same time which is even more insane 🤔
that's a literary device called consonance.
With the power he carried as one of the most prolific artist of all time…he carried the same amount of power as being one of the best lyricists. I will never understand the downplay on his words and ability
And some People say PAC wasnt a lyricist
One if his best tracks. His wordplay and flow is out of this world. Makaveli Da Don
Long overdue 🙏🏽
Was literally gonna ask for this in the last vid! Big ups, absolutely slept on rhyme scheme here 🗣🔥
i think 'enemies' in line five also fits the rhyme scheme of 'Gs', 'weed', etc ..
like the song choice
Prolly wrote it in 3 minutes . Aint that just as good as writing in your head ? The GOAT
2Pac - High Speed
2Pac - As the World Turns
Yea he was slidin on high speed fr….
Look at you now why you wanna act out?
I pull the hammer back, strapped witta cannon that’ll blow yo muthafuckin back out
They blast but I’m still standing, slightly scarred
Deep questions for the Lord, why you don’t like me God
Though my life was hard, wit no regard
I absorb all lessons, without protection from the boss
Rollin in my Double R, rugged and ruthless
Keep a vest through these hard times knowin it’s useless 🐐
by far his best song.
That “drama” and “mama” rhyme though 💯💯💯
THIS SONG STUCK IN MY HEAD
My reply when people say pac wasn’t lyrical . Thug4Lyfe
@10F_2020_ ARHAM SINGH yes he is just not a top tier lyricist
His unreleased songs are 🔥 too
@11E ARHAM SINGH I respectfully disagree.. Kurupt was definitely an underrated lyricist no doubt but he def isnt more lyrical than Pac.... Just listen to songs like Blasphemy, All Out, Me and my girlfriend, Letz fight, etc Pac is wayy more lyrical than Kurupt... Pac at his most lyrical>Kurupt at his most lyrical without a doubt. Also when Pac got busy, he was definitely up there with guys like Nas, Pun, Em, andre3k, Rakim, BDK, G Rap, etc i listen to alot of underground hip hop so I'm fimiliar with technicality... The thing is most of Pac's metaphors/entendres/puns go over alot of people's heads
@@dxsh8853 hie metaphors and double entendres definitely go over ppl heads.. I think its his voice that stands out so ppl miss them.. one example being on hit'em up the play on Little Caesar's/Cease and cutting him up(the pizza reference)and the wordplay on deCEASED.. I rarely hear ppl mention that but if Jay or Big did that they'd be constantly praised
Pac was in his bag on this song!!
One of my favourite verses of his
My favorite Pac song! Thanks!
I was waiting for this sooo longggg Pacs best song imo

Thanks for highlighting the alliterations. This song in particular is a great example of alliteration usage in rap! Thx :)

My favorite Tupac verse
This the one of the rawest verses everm
To me it’s wasn’t how he was or wasn’t rhyming.. to me it was WHAT he was saying and HOW he was saying a verse…. You see him hitting the weed and clutching the Glock
