I genuinely have used this tutorial more than any other tutorial on this device. You really put the steps in different places and made the construction pretty easy. I was able to get her all set up and I just wanted to thank you for your help. Youre amazing, mate.
I have this case and I really enjoy it! I didn't find the build process to be too much, although I still have not been able to make that led strip work. My main complaint is that video cable on the side. I also was wondering why they did not move that to the back of the case. I do have an ssd installed that I boot from and it works good for me. Thank you for the great video!
If I was still running my own business, I'd definitely have one of these on my desk. It would be configured with Pihole and Unbound. At the end of each day, it would go into the safe. Talk about securing your network - no after hours fooling around for you!
The case looks really cool! If that is an OLED screen it might be a poor choice to have it on all the time. Won't you get some serious burn in that way? Keep up the great work Jay.
I like the design. I'm more into a display case around 3.5-5" as I want pocket things beyond my normal setup(s) which is a bit much of the same and I can't sit with it 24/7 in the same position, so I have "a program" where I go around in my home and move things around and "is different." :)
I use minimal fanless all alluminum case. With Manjaro on board works like magic. Everything that is 1 cm bigger than Raspberry pi itself is bloated. 😉
Hmmm. The cooler gets in the way of an NVMe drive and adapter board now supported by the Pi 5. The video (I realize the video is for the old case and Pi 4...) didn't show if the adapter could be tilted up on end or somehow repositioned. (The NVMe adapter boards for the Pi 5 have a real short ribbon cable), Any experience with the new Pi and new SunFounder case?
I got this case but cant get the LEDS lights to work :( I even returned it and bought another one and that didnt work. I even tried a secondary pi4 I have and that didnt work either. I dont understand what im doing wrong. I followed the instructions on step 5. after pironman is installed I tried commands like "pironman -rw on" then off. then on again that didnt work. There has to be some kind of setting I am missing. What would you recommend I do? I made sure to plug everything in perfectly. I got the LCD screen on the front working, just not the LED. Im using raspberry pi OS 64bit desktop version
@@1978ianmt problem was I was installing v1 software instead of v2. They are idiots at differentiating the two units,. i had it up and running a whole 1 day before the pironman board fried and no longer powers up. This happened twice.
I've had one of these for a coup[le of month now. Has anyone seen instructions or know how to change the ROM setting in python to display the /dev/sda1 drive instead of the Micro SD card info? I'm using mine for a basic DLNA server and rather see the drive space there on the display.
He has no control over the price of Pi's, and your notion that this is a "promotion" is a non-sequtur. It's pretty simple: if you have or want a Pi and need a case, this is a full walk-through of a pretty cool one. Go buy a used computer if you don't wanna pay for a Pi. Simple as. #applesareonsalebutiwantoranges

I agree, that screen does look pretty cool and would be nice to have on all the time for amusement and def for checking on things.

A beautiful little dinky! Love it! Will purchase one for all my exes! Some friends too. Great video!

An HDMI angle adapter might help a bit.

my pironman has the RGB connection on the opposite side and wont turn on, any suggestion? they are not next to the fan like in the video
I hope the slot for putting the ribbon cable of the display hasn't been left too sharp, would hate to slice that ribbon cable!

I cant get it to boot from the m.2 usb?

WAY TOO expensive for a Pi. Otherwise, OK.
Here's something you didn't mention. This case costs $240! Holy crap!
I was like, no way, I'd pay $80 for that. Lo and behold, I checked the affiliate link and the listed price on Amazon was $80. Fake news buddy. 😂
It's $80. Where the heck you pulling $240 from?
That is like, two Orange pi 5's "and a half".
I'm seeing the case at $80 also. Noferblatz, you need glasses.
I got mine for $69 shipped to my door on Amazon last week. Plus I had $30 in Amazon gift cards 😅
Raspberry Pis are overpriced. Generally, used computers are a much better deal. This channel will continue its descent if you promote bad products.

Disagree, I like the channel!
Prices are much lower now on pi’s and there will always be a market for them no matter what because of their support so relax ☺️
