3.) pick up
4.) ride quality
5.) infotainment system is practical.
6.) traction control + other safety features
7.) fog lamps in front and rear
8.) good visibility for driver
9.) 190mm ground clearance
10.) cost effective (10lacs on road top model diesel)
11.) inside plastics fit and finish is good.
12.) very sturdy ride at over speeds of 120kmph for such small wheel base car is something to appreciate.
Cons
1.) no door pockets for rear passengers
2.) spare wheel 1inch smaller
3.) no passengers get grab handles on either seats.
4.) boot space is less
5.) keyless entry missing (what's the use of push start stop button if in any case u have to pull out keys from ur pocket to unlock the car)
6.) dashboard compartment is too small for the size it looks from outside.
9.) rattling noise in diesel engine.
10.) headlight should have been projectors
I have been using this car past 4 years and have driven almost 80k kms. In my opinion, the pros easily supersede the cons.
Excellent car... Even for someone who wants to buy a 2nd hand car as the prices have nosedived due to ford's exit from India.
Door lock is not a problem instead it is a feature. People are unaware that at the time of accident, those inner door locks mostly get jammed and people coming to help can not open the doors at all from outside and many people lose their life due to delay in such cases. So it is a new feature coming in almost all the new cars that at the time of impact this door unlocks all the doors automatically so that people from outside can reach in. Altroz has the same feature and many European cars also had same door lock design earlier.
A separate lock inside can be very dangerous during an accident.
talking about kids - if a kid is going to open the door they will open it anyhow, they usually know how to open that lock as well. The lock is not for kids, it is not child lock. It’s just a lock for external entry. Child lock is a separate feature and that is there on the door already.
Fs is a WONDER Car, but alas now not available..a proud tdci flair owner..👏👌

1 month mein cover dalwaa liye the... But uncomfortable hain.. Side se airbags ke liye jaga rakhi thi...
4-5 hours ke run ka gadi mein toh pta nai chalta but back pain ho jati hai aur seat adjust karta rehta hun....
Bike mujse hilly area mein 1st gear mein pic up nahi hota chamba mein 1st hear aise lagta hai thodaa delay ke baad response deta hai yeh cheez 1st service mein maine batayi..thi..but they said ok hai..
Though my brother had test in slopes of tara devi mandir at shimla.. It was fine with some tuning with gear n clutch..Ruk ruk ke gadi chadai thi chadai wale modo pe..
As previous day i could nt go up the slope..in shimla .. May be sme issues with my driving skills...
But maruti mein clutch releass karne par gadi ek dum se chalti hai... Ford mein mujse aise nahi hota
Baki i have habbit of changing gear with change in speed in roads of chamba i was getting milege of around 14_14.8..n now with yokohama n ac on n off it gives 13.8
, 37000 chal chuki hai.. Ab dekhtein hain service ke baad kitni degi
Dharamshala ki slope in rain and ac on i got less milege.. 715 se 658 km
Total journe was 36 km but 57km ka petrol laga n ya 20min car on thi with ac.. Jab khadi ki thi toh 685 tha chalne par 675 show kar rha tha.. 2_4 up down bhi ho sakta hai...
N ya side handles nahi hai air bags ki wajah se.. But hilly areas n curves pe peeche baithe logon ko dikkat toh ati hai.. Fir front seat ko pakdte rehte hain....

Agree to all your positive points, but only negative I agree is spare wheel. Drove my Freestyle Diseal 1 lakh KM, with only replacement of tires and am most satisfied till today. Unfortunate that this wonder car is no more in Indian market.

Adding two more points here, not good for heavy traffic as clutch is hard on legs and it feel irritating at times, while driving slow you can feel spring movement like some kind of dancing chair.
Excellent for highways or less traffic areas..

I have Ford Aspire Disel 1500cc getting 23km
absolutely normal dear in city drive, ...good mileage, but as regards highway its is slightly lesser it should be above 20 or so ...driving style also matters...but it is nice..no need to worry.

My freestyle was bought in 2018, and as per dealer was the 5th car sold in the dealership.
The car is very spacious and is feature loaded as compared to other cars in the same price segment. Another advantage is that 5 people can sit easily without cramping.
However. It pains me to see that very few people have opted for this car and ford could hve done more better and agressive advertising for the car. I have never ever heard a radio ad of the freestyle whereas other manufacturers constantly do so.
A disadvantage of ford has been the increased servicing cost, on the upside of 5.5k, even going to 8k.
I am not sure about the availability of the parts after 2-3 years, and hence will plan to sell it within 2 years.
The car has never given any major trouble and has taken me to various adventures in 3 years. Exceptional ground clearance and great road presence.
Unfortunately, this car could not appeal the masses and that's a pity!!
