- FightHype.com recently caught up with former world champion Keith Thurman, who was back in the gym putting in work and staying sharp for his eventual return to the ring. You don't want to miss what he had to say about several topics, including Pacquiao vs. Errol Spence and much more. Check it out!
Keith Thurman is a real one for dropping knowledge like this 👍🏻🥊
💯
Hidden Gems
Keith Thurman is smart
Common sense really. Its just surprising how many people now a days don't have any. Even professionals as Keith said chasing a bag, but everyone has their own way of doing things. Some might like chasing the bag 💰.
@@simdencard you a clown. Boxing is not common sense
The guy in the back practicing what he sayings while he saying it , true student!
Dude in the back is putting in some clean work
If i were in his shoes, I'll be dying inside im so much awkwardness ngl lmao
Hahaha this my second time watching this. Just noticed that
@@Chan08 not really
He needs to make a UA-cam channel.
Right
Yes 🙌
yeah.. he seems like a great teacher..
i guess trade secrets are just that..
Fax. He’s so entertaining yet so knowledgeable.
Not only is he a boxer/commentator/philosopher..but now a teacher. Nice
He did lots of these
You forgot a track star for ducking Spence 5 years ago
@@chiefkeef8902 always that one guy smh
@@chiefkeef8902 because he was trying to fight Floyd who was ducking him too
Thurman is the best 💯❤️
Thurman actually seem like hes a great trainer
Good motivator.
@CritchMusic Is it always like that you need drama so someone will watch the show
yes he is a good trainer. he is a pro boxer.
When his career is over, I wouldn’t mind seeing him coach young up and coming prospects.
Man he talks and teaches really well he could have a great coaching career after boxing
This some good shit never thought of that while hitting the bag.
Same here. At least not to that extent. I’m for sure gonna try it later.
You never stop learning with boxing.
😂🤣😂🤣
Bro even how to throw a basic punch. My coach tortured me to sit with both leg straight up and land the end knuckle wrist twist to the tip of the toes. I feel like I was in Yoga class yo.
@@fckvar5599 bro that sounds like a porn movie yo
We need to see Keith back in the ring
More than one time lol
Once upon a time*
isnt his nickname "one time"
He could do a rematch with Porter or Garcia. Even Ugas would be a great fight.
@@Prymary2 its Porter
He's lost 'one time'.
Keith should start his own channel with this, he's great!
Gotta respect a high level active fighter giving game to the fighters under him 🔥
He should special guest in Porter Way Podcast.
That is a main event right there
THIS DEFINITELY KEITHS LANE!
He’s a pugilist & a student of the game ☝️ ⏰
I've worked out on traditional heavy bags ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.
When a great master teaches they don’t use I, I, I they use what you want to do is... the only time he says I is when they say what I am gonna give you KNOWLEDGE!!! Great class champ Thankyou
this is legit fantastic teaching--clear, concise, and some stuff that feels new to a lot of people.
*1:27* Homie's all gettin his learn on til the camera catches him lol Thurman's clearly a good boxing guru.
This should have more views.
Type of wisdom to the craft doesn’t come free every day.
Get this man a UA-cam channel, a podcast and a commentating job. This entire interview has been phenomenal. He'd be an awesome trainer. Thank you Uncle Keith!
Can't wait to see Thurman develop future champions in the future.
Keith is an amazing boxer. Very skilled and intelligent. He can also translate his skills into methods and words. He can articulate well.
smartest thing he ever did was dropping out of highschool to go pro. That's not a joke either, guys got more cash than I've ever touched in my life.
@@gottaproxy8826 yh being an accountant or a prize fighter lool he made a great choice following his dreams.
That was Actually a Very Good tutorial. Most fighters never show their trainer side. Thurman CLEARLY shows he has skills to teach the science. 😎🥊
Keith is the real deal. I like him more after his loss.
I've been watching alot of videos and practicing boxing for 2 years now. Never seen anyone teach this. Thanks one time 🙏🏽
Thank you One time for the lesson on the bag!! I hope he coaches and commentates when he retires
Keith looking like a young roberto duran right here! Hope he fights soon
August or Sept I think
@@Mickieshelton Thurman vs Ugas

I hope Thurman gives us more How to box videos 😬
Salute🙏 u ONE TIME for teaching me somethin i didnt know.
Please we want more Thurman lessons ⚡
These videos with Keith and the interviews with Andre Ward and Tim Bradley have been the best things on this channel in years.
These training videos with Keith Thurman are awesome.
Hell yeah I’d pay for a Keith Boxing lesson program 🔥he explains very well
@Money Mike member Marquez nap time Pacman
@Money Mike so because he got dropped on a fight he shouldn’t be a teacher? Thats stupid hater logic
@Money Mike Some of the best trainers had far worst records.....any pro with 20+ fights can teach you a lot no matter their record you can take something from everyone the minute you think you know it all you already have capped you potential.
@Money Mike Everyone struggles sometime. He only had one loss
@Money Mike and he was one of Manny's hardest fights
Thurman’s the man he needs to make a UA-cam channel explaining techniques he’s really good at it and easy to understand
Big Love, Respect, and Appreciation to Keith Thurman and Fighthype for putting out this video! I may be mistaken, but to my knowledge, Mr. Thurman is the only professional boxer I've seen put out personal training technique like this. I know I speak for all of us who love this great sport and continue to train when I say, Thank you so very much for this video and taking the time out of your day to put it out there for us! God Bless and Much Success!
That pac loss turned him into a teacher
With no ponytail lmao
Remember when Joshua lost. His hairline disappeared
That was savage. Lol
@Gamecore same shit gon happen to spence.. receding hairline 😂😂
there's videos with him teaching since 4-5 years ago I believe
@@Ariztotel 🤣🤣🤣 yeah ok Spence gonna make Pacquio retire
Visualization and repetition…. KT dropping knowledge that’s applicable to pretty much everything in life. I’m going to remember this forever.
Good to see Keith back in training I hope he has an announcement on his next fight soon .
Hoping it's Keith vs Ugas
@@billclark5055 that would be an interesting fight but personally think it will be a softer touch being that Keith has been inactive for 2 years. Ugas is a tough matchup for anyone.
@@edwin.Wezt1 well maybe after his warm up fight. Hopefully he at least takes on a C level guy.
@@billclark5055 Thurman Vs Broner? Both can hype things up .
@@edwin.Wezt1 Thurman demolishes Broner. But it's a solid tune up
Keith Thurman should create his own youtube channel and post tons of videos like this. I'm sure millions of boxing/fight fans around the world will watch and subscribe to him and he'll make a lot of money from youtube in no time as a bonus. Your fan from ph.
This was so much better than I was expecting. Great vid, hope to see more from him 👏🏽
Dude start up a channel with a series of vids like this! this guy is a natural teacher.
Thank you Keith Thurman for this. You taught me something. You always were one of my favorite boxers and I know there is more to it but I would have loved to see Mayweather and you. I really admire your philosophy on not looking for PPV first. You are a great fighter and if you decide on coaching you will help many. Loads of respect kid.
Keith should make a youtube account and just make videos like these
Man thurman dropping jems in this video good stuff man 👌🙏🙏
Oh my goodness this video was so eye opening. Love him or hate him Keith Thurmin has that high-level boxing intellect.

Thurmans will make a great trainer or commentator after boxing.💯
Thank you!!! Wish I could like this video 100 times.
He makes a very good instructor. Clear and makes sense .
Simple, yet brilliant - always attempt to work a bag like an opponent, but knock like this. Awesomeness from The One Time!
Keith should get a podcast and a UA-cam channel that was a great demonstration. Looking forward to seeing him back in the ring.
Gonna be so many new boxing experts in the comments now 😭🤦🏾♂️

& He shares The Knowledge And Love Straight From His Heart ❤!!! He's Not A Selfish Soul
Beautiful job champ💪
That stopping drill does a lot. Really teaches you about timing, knowing when and where to throw a punch. Also helps you think in a defensive minded approach.
A little more advanced than most know, and he made it simple to understand.
Good way of putting it, top technique bro
I'd like to see him in ring once again!
Keith is a great boxing analyst and would be a great coach......great video
Thanks for sharing Keith.
In a boxing gym you learn this as soon as you jump onto a heavy bag. Not everyone can afford to go into a boxing gym and get coaching though. This information is always needed out there for people to practice on their own.
Looking forward to seeing Thurman back in the ring!
Thanks Thurman for educating us how to do it right 👍🏼
Another good lesson thank You Thurman..
Great work champ... We need you back in the ring asap. Looking slim and trim and ready to bring that one time!!
Can’t wait to see him back in the ring that’s a awesome demonstration 💪🏾❤️✊🏾
Appreciate this one ☝️ time!
You learn something new every day...hats off champ
Keith would make a great trainer . Nice video💪🏾
What a gem he has so much knowledge he really does
I think he could be a great great trainer one day and have a stable of champions if you wanted to one day
Thank you 1 Time, you should do more videos!!!, some like myself appreciates, you're giving back to the sport!!!
me and keith have always had the same philosophy/analogy on throwing the left hook, shutting the door on the them.
keith thurman is the real deal. he has incredible boxing skills and very dangerous punching power.
Perfect, thank you Keith
FightHype should do more videos like this with other boxers and coaches. It will be cool to see how these elite level boxers work on their Craft. It will also motivate the upcoming generations of boxers to work on their fundamentals like these champs. Because speed, strength, reflexes, stamina might fade away little by little with time but if you have excellent fundamentals you will still do good.
Regardless of what you think of Thurman as a fighter now-when a professional is teaching, you listen.
My man Thurman dropping gems. How many active elite boxers out there does this? I have a lot of respect for One Time. He will be a good trainer one day. And for the life of me I do not understand why he gets so much hate especially from the casuals.
Keith and Canelo have some great drills
this is gonna help me a bunch with my bag work. thanks for the knowledge!
One of the best welterweights at this generation. That loss to Pac made him a new and better boxer today. Thanks for these lessons champ! 💪🔥
Salute champ from the Philippines
As much as I didn’t like Keith man he just went up 1000 points in my book! This was gold!
This is great! Life makes more sense when people teach you the simple things.
I aint a great boxer but i have learned this by myself hitting the heavy bag. Cuz great counter punches usually time when the opponent comes in. So i learned to do tht when hittin the bag. Cool to see keith teaching what i started doing not tht long ago.
So clear his explanation.
