Man I can’t thank you enough, I just got this flash as my first ever and I didn’t know anything about how to use it, your video gave me all I need to start using it, thanks a lot
Glad I could help
Rob, you’re amazing thank you. I’ll be making a donation. You earn it. I consider you an OM Ambassador!
ive never worked with flash before and this was fantastically thorough without being overwhelming. thanks for making it!
Thank you, I'm looking at flash and this model seems to fit my needs. I had a lot of questions about how it works and now I have all my answers. Thank you so much!
Glad I could help
Just bought this flash. Your video has shown me that it is capable of so much more than I thought. Thank you for this, and so many of your videos, they've helped me a great deal.
Glad I could help!
Best tutorial ever!!! Strange as it may seem; this is the most complicated flash to set up and I have the Godox V860 III which I can setup easily and intuitively. Thanks Rob.
Totally agree
Thank you!
I agree too. Perhaps in the future they will simplify the usability by bringing a mark ii version like they did last year with the TT685 model. That would be nice. Ratio price/value of the tt350 is great.
Hi,
When I have this flash mounted on Sony a7c camera and both are on the mode button on flash doesn't respond. It does when I turn the camera off. Is that normal?
Totally agree with set up comment. I returned my 350o because it wasn’t as simple as I expected.
Wonderful, complete, easy to understand for beginners! Just getting into flash photography with a Sony a7iii, bought this Godox, and it looks like everything I need and now I know how to use it! Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
This is my very first flash and your video is a fantastic support to understand how to set it up. Many thanks, Rob, for this tutorial and best regards from France!
I know that you did this video a year ago but I just bought this flash and was very happy to find this video that shows everything that I need to know for using this flash. Thank you.
Glad I could help!
Thanks Rob for this video and another you did on tt350o. As a result I purchased two tt360o flash units and the X2T-O trigger for my OM-D E-M1 Mk II. This video and another by Strobepro on the X2T trigger made setting up the flash units faster and easier than by going through the manuals alone (which by the way have very small print; so I printed out the the online pdf versions with much larger and readable print size). Your videos are really informative and helpful. Thank you again.
Glad to help, Gary!
Another great video Rob and now setting up the TT350 makes much more sense. (And by inference other flashes like the TT600). Also great to see something other than the om-1 being discussed as I am one of those still wedded to the older Olympus range as I cannot justify the price of the new offerings or their cost-benefit trade offs. Keep up the good work. Cheers.
Thanks!
Thank you. Your video helped me use 1 flash as a trigger to fire another flash. Earlier I was relying on the trigger in the hot shoe mount, sacrificing the on-camera flash! Now I can bounce the on-camera flash to trigger another off-camera flash and control it. Very well explained.
Glad I could help.
I’ve got this Flash - and now I learned the important things - Thanxx‼️ Top Video👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Greetings from Germany 👋🏻👋🏻
Glad it helped! Thank you.
By far the best explanation for this flash. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Great tutorial Rob, one of the very best i have seen, godox for dummies instead of presuming people already know some. I now use 2x 350s & a 685 with an xpro 2 or full slave with Olympus FL-LM3 on the camera covers all my needs for now 😄
Thanks! Great setup you have. I may do a tutorial on the xpro trigger. I only use 20% of the stuff it can do so will take a while to work out everything else.
This was super helpful for a beginner flash user! Thank you for sharing!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks 🙏🏽 very helpful and comprehensive. I had earlier got stuck about changing to S1 and S2 modes; switching to Manual mode from TTL was the key 😊 before that I was going round in circles.
Glad it helped!
Great video, I really enjoyed. Your explanation is one of the clearest I've seen. One great thing about the Godox system is only the master flash needs to be the model for your camera. I have Olympus and Sony tt350s and can use them as slaves with both cameras as long as the right master flash is used on the hotshoe. Saves loads of cost 😊
Thanks. Yes, it's a great feature!
Good instructional video Rob.I have two of these and a 685 which all work very nicely.Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
What a great tutorial on Godox TT350 flash !!! really amazing , Thanks 🙏🏼😊
Glad it helped!
Was finding it difficult to figure out some of the features. Thank you.
Your welcome!
Dang, this thing is quite feature rich ! I just ordered my first Godox ever, I think I'll have lots of fun with it, taking pictures of stuff in the evening or night.
It's a great flash!
Thank you so much for your instructions.
I'm new at photography and using flash.
Your video is very clear.👍
Happy to help!
great video especially as i have just bought the flash for my em5.3 - great timing! Another great video and more help from you - many thanks Rob
Happy to help!
Thank you for a really useful video. I am new to this, so this is just what I needed!
You are so welcome!
Brilliant tutorial, Rob. Thank you.
Thanks, Plato!
Thank you for this great explanation 🙏 Now the flash is working
Glad it helped!
Best tutorial ever. Thanks Rob
Thanks!
Made so much sense and it was easy to follow and apply. Much appreciated!
You're very welcome!
Nice explanation of the TT350O. Thanks! I have firmware updated to v1.2. AFAIK this update just adds 2 items to the C.Fn menu for a total of 4 items. The 3rd new menu item is now "43" which when ON will change the range of flash zoom values from 24-105 down to 12-52 for m4/3 cameras. I turned this ON as I think in m4/3's values. Note that the physical zoom in the flash has not changed, just the values presented on the LCD. The 4th item is now "ID" which allows creating many more channels for situations where radio interference may be triggering your flashes inadvertently such as at an event with many photographers. It works in conjunction with the X2T and PRO controllers. I leave this OFF.
Thanks, Bob. I'll have to make a video on updating the firmware. Perfect since I've never done it.
I have the tt350o and the x2to. I found that the x2to would not trigger the tt350o unless I turned turned on C.Fn 43 to on. Took me a long time to figure this out.
Thank you, so much for your tutorial, it was really done excellent you spoke clearly and explained everything so well. I have had my Flash for about one year and would like to use it more. And I shall because of your help. Again thank you so much. You have actually transferred your knowledge well-explained everything Wow.
Glad it was helpful!
Brilliant tutorial. Thanks so much for putting this out there.
Glad it was helpful!
A very good overview of this flash
Thank you!
Very clearly explained, thank you.
Thanks.
So glad that i found your video about it, since i bought it according to your great advice. However, i now need to find some good batteries that will last quite a bit. So far i used some cheap alkaline AAs that didn’t last that much. However, i switched to Duracell alkaline and it’s far better, especially the recycle time. Thanks a ton for help!
Very nicely done!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you too!
Thanks so much, Rob. Learned a lot. Mabuhay! ❤🇵🇭
just got this flash for macro (off flash) work with my em1 mkIII & EM10 mkII i also have the pro trigger and the X2T trigger, so this has proved very usefull thank you Rob.
Happy to help!
Praise the Lord for this video! Thank you Rob 😊
Excellent explanation! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Brilliant, Rob.
Thank you.
Thank you!
great vid. just got a V350s and this helped me understand how to use it
Happy to help.
Very useful tutorial and great presentation, many thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Very awesome video. Since I got the TT350 all I use it for is macro in manual mode. However I'm getting back to events photography again. I'm pretty sure how I'm going to use the flash. I also have a trigger and a second flash so I'm definitely going to watch this again.
Thank you!
Way better than the manual. Thank you!!
Happy to help!
I didn't know this Godox is so advanced :)
Thank you
Happy to help!
Great walkthrough. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Sir appreciate your video with details.. thank you for the teaching.. thanks
Thank you!
Excellent tutorial...thank you.
Thanks!
I recently bought a TT685ii for my E-M10ii but that was an overkill. It's too big and heavy for this small camera. This combination feels unbalanced. So I bought later the TT350-O too and I am totally happy with it. The TT685ii can I also use as an of camera flash with my Olympus or with Nikon, which is my main system. So, no problem.
Thank you for your detailed explanation. You make very high quality videos!
It's a great combo. The TT350 is my everyday flash. Handles most things just fine.
Thank you, you're the best.
Very helpful. Thank you. I've been inconsistently successful using this flash. While watching your video, I was successful 100% of the time. Now, all I have to do is determine what I was doing wrong....some of the time. 🤔
Great to hear!
Video muito bom, da pra entender todas as possibilidades de uso do Flash, e como configurar ele bem certinho para cada uso.
Muito obrigado.
Thanks!
Oldish Vid, I've just bought a 2nd hand Olympus model, when I turned it on I wasn't set to the default setting which made it difficult to follow. I di find a vid that shows you how to reset default . After that, the vid was very easy to follow easy to follow
Thanks 👍
Great explanation. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you you help me a lot, God bless you dude.
Happy to help
Really helpful video, thank you :)
Glad it was helpful!
Thnx !
very timely video for me... i decided a few days ago that i want the tt350 along with the x2 trigger and a godox softbox to start getting into single light portraits. this video along with some others on the flash has helped to solidify that i am making the right choice. this will be my first real speed-light, and I look forward to experimenting with on and off camera lighting. Thanks! Sub'd!
Glad I could help!
Hvala ❤
Brilliant. Thank you.
You're very welcome!
Thank You so much!

Thank you!!
Super helpful 😃
Glad it was helpful!
I cant thankyou enough for this🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 😊
Happy to help!
Very good vid and explicit. Please make a vid for 2 flashes Godox and a triger.
Thanks, will do!
Great tutorial. Just the right speed and depth. Can I use a TT350o on my Olympus (Master) to trigger a TT350s (Slave)? This would allow me to use my friend's flash remotely and not have to buy another and drag it along in the (full) camera bag. Thanks.
Yes, no problem. The slave flash can be any model.
Brilliant
Thanks!
Hello Rob! thanks for your video. It's helping me immensely. When I tap zoom( 8:23 mark) it doesn't let me toggle between AU and M nor will it let me change the mm. The top of the displays read TTL M(in a little black box) and 12mm/zoom. I use a Fuji xt30ii.
Hi. I answered your question here: ua-cam.com/video/Ibl0V0tVsQw/v-deo.html
Informative video. Thank you. How to check my camera is HSS compatible (Mine is Em10 mkiii)
You would look at the camera specs given by the manufacturer. The E-M10ii is HSS compatible, but it's calls "FP". You'll see the "FP" icon in the live view when it's active. You activate via the flash by pushing the "SYNC" button as shown in the video.
I wasted many indoor photos today because I didn't know one detail about the diffuser: it must be pushed into its slot all the way (you'll hear a click) to adjust the zoom function or put it into auto zoom. This has to be done even when the catch light reflector is up. The owner's manual doesn't mention this, and all my flash photos were horrible. Now that I know, better photos next time! (Thanks to Michael's TechBlog for pointing this out.)
Thanks for the tip. I totally forgot to mention that.
Just to be clear when on ttl and set to 0 it’s completely letting the flash decide power? I’ve always thought so since you’re the first I could find in a decade that actually explains this.
Technically the camera tells the flash what power to use. So dialling in 0 EC should give a balanced exposure.
Thanks for the tutorial! I have a Sony a7IV and am having trouble using the multiple flash feature with my Cont Bracket function on the camera - it only flashes once. Anyway to fix this? Thanks!
I'm not that familiar with the Sony cameras, but tell me what exactly your settings are on both the camera and the flash. I assume you're trying to do multi-flash with AE bracketing? This works on my OM System cameras.
When flash is set in slave mode; does it matter if the flash is in manual or TTL mode or does it have to match with the master transmitter? Thanks in advance.
It doesn't matter the mode the flash is in. It will use the mode assigned by the trigger/transmitter.
Best tutorial and covered basically most.!!! but just assuming that I have 2 different godox models of flashes (eg : 1-> TT350S & 2-> V860IIC ) and will this 2 wirelessly compatible ( V860IIC as Master on camera, TT350S as slave off camera) in manual or ttl mode ? Thanks
Yes, that should work fine. Let me know. -Rob
do you have a video on when to tilt the flash in different directions?
Sorry, I don't. But this is a good one. ua-cam.com/video/tZKXYqhcNHQ/v-deo.html
I have Adorama's Flashpoint Zoom-Mini TTL R2; same flash as the Godox TT350. When I pull out the diffuser / fresnel lens on mine, the zoom head moves and 14mm is displayed. That's great, as I have a 20mm lens.
Mine came with firmware 1.6. Current is 1.7 for added compatibility with some R-series cameras. If it doesn't work with my R8 I'll have to sell the flash unless I can run the required installer in emulation (Godox has 3 installers but only 1 runs on macOS and it's not the one that talks to these models. The whole firmware update rigmarole is janky.)
Thanks for sharing your experience. I use Windows and Olympus, so your feedback helps.
is there a way to trigger the flash every other shutter release instead of every time ?
Not that I know of.
hi I'm having issue with my light staying on AU. It keeps switching back to manual. No sure why. I also have to try several times to get the option AU. I stays on M24 mm zoom.
The zoom function is very sensitive to battery power. When the batteries get low, it goes into manual zoom only. Try putting fresh batteries and see if that resolves the issure.
Thank you, Rob, for this tutorial. Question...I own Nikon SB 800 and 910. Will this flash or the Oly flm mini flash, trigger the Nikons? If not, I'm ready to purchase the Godox.
Yes, the mini flash will fire the optical triggers on the Nikons. It works better indoors than outdoors. Also, you need to set the flash power on the Nikons manually.
Hi sir! i have my godox tt350 and x2t trigger. but i cant sync these two to my canon m50. btw its all canon supported. ive done watching all of you vids about tt350. and still the tt350 cant connect to the trigger. can you help me about this sir
Hi. I don't show it in this video, but there is a new setting in the tt350 via firmware that I didn't have at the time. It's called the wireless ID. Make sure your Channel, Group, and ID are all matched between the trigger and flash. Let me know if that worked. -Rob
@Rob Trek thank you so much sir! its now working
Thank you. Will this flash be able to trigger (as master) my original canon flashes?
Technically, yes. If your canon flashes have an optical trigger, you can use the tt350 on-camera to fire the off camera flashes. You would have to manually control the power output for each flash. You wouldn't be able to use ttl or control the power output of the off camera flashes.
@@RobTrek Thank you very much. What receiver would I be able to use for the canon flashes so that I could trigger them wirelessly with the godox?
@@AninaLonte You should be able to use the godox x1r-c. I haven't tried these myself, so be sure you can return them if they don't work as expected. amzn.to/45jFpeI
Hi Rob does the V350o support focus stacking on the OM-1, ie does it fire on every frame when shooting at focus stacking speeds, thanks
Focus bracketing works well. Just keep your flash power around 1/8 or less. Focus stacking doesn't work. The camera doesn't complete he stacking process and drops out. You need to use a non-ttl flash with single pin.
@@RobTrekThanks Rob, which flash is optimal for the OM-1 to be maximise Stacking and bracketing please, many thanks.
Great video. Save me £'s I was looking at more expensive kit.
Glad I could help!
Hi Rob, after a long time I'm Back "Happy New Year". I wonder if is possible with the OM-D E-M1 III to save on C1 for normal Street in "A" priority with A1) Half Way AF : Operative. Than Save to C2 for Wildlife and use BBF with A1) Half Way AF Inoperative. I have tried but is some confusion. Have you a idea how to do this right ?
Hi Monica! What do you mean by "A" priority with A1 and BBF with A1? I'm not sure what A1 is.
How can I do it with any flash to fire in every shot when I’m in burst mode on the camera, like 5 or 10 frames per second?
It depends on the flash. You'll have to shoot the flash in manual mode and set the power pretty low. Around 1/32 should do it.
Is this flash compatible with fujifilm xt200?
Yes. You would need the godox tt350F version.
Hi Sir, I just bought Godox TT350o for my Lumix G9, my question is that, that the zoom always set to 14mm and auto zoom not coming in settings even I pressed many time zoom button because I want to test different zoom of settings my Godox TT350o flash system. Yesterday when I used zoom settings its working.. so how I can bring back zoom settings of my flash at auto zoom?
Usually two things will deactivate the auto zoom. Low battery power or you have the diffuser pulled out. You will see the battery icon lit up when the batteries are low. Let me know if that worked.
@@RobTrek Thanks Sir after commenting you I thought I that diffuser may be stuck, so I pressed it properly and its working now.. lol..
Just got one today but i hit the zoom button and it doesnt blink to adjust for 50mm lens? Any idea y it wont let me change?
There are only 2 reasons the zoom would not work. 1-The batteries are low. You will see the battery icon blinking in the top left. 2-The pull out diffuser and/or bounce card is out in which case the zoom will be locked to 14mm. Make sure you have fresh batteries and the diffuser pushed back in. Let me know if that worked. -Rob
Thank you. Using it on z6. Does the TTL mode AU will match the aperture of the camera? Seems like its doing so.
But it doesnt zoom when I zoom my 24-120 S lens on z6.
Usually the zoom will stop working when the batteries are low. Try putting fresh batteries and see if that fixes it.
@@RobTrek You were right. Just now tested with dresh batteries it worked. Thank you.
What settings for Lumix fill in flash with sun behind ob then beach ? Is the model number the 3500 for Lumix and Olympus?
For strong backlit scenes, you'll need to put the flash on full power. Honestly, I'm not sure the tt350 can put out enough light for that situation. Yes, the tt350o is the correct model for Lumix and Olympus.
Hi I recently bought this flash but need to understand what settings will be good for nightclub photography, I have a Sony with a 24 to 70 sigma shall I use TTL or manual ?
If you're going to be moving around a lot, I would just use TTL. I'm not sure how the Sony meters, but I typically dial in -2/3 flash exposure comp for people shots.
My understanding is the zoom number isn't ff equivalent. In other words if you have a M43 camera and set zoom to 25mm it is for a 25mm M43 lens. Please let me know if I'm wrong.
Hi. Sorry I took so long to answer. On the tt350, it is FF equivalent. So zoom set to 24mm - 105mm is 12mm-52.5mm on m4/3. There is a wide panel that you pull out that gives a 14mm in FF spread.
@@RobTrek is that the same for Nikon and Canon, and Fujifilm branded Godox Flashes or is it Just the M43 350 flash. Thanks for responding
I just bought the Godox TT350s two days ago, when I first opened it, the flash was working. However, i did play around with the buttons and now when I turn it on and off the test flash button no longer shines orange. And also, now the flash just isn't working. By chance would you know what i did and how i can get it back?
It's difficult to diagnose without having the flash in front of me. My first though is to put fresh batteries. Then after turning it on, it can take up to 15 secs for the test light to come on. Typically, it takes about 5-10secs. Let me know if that works. -Rob
Cool
Thanks.
