    Nicely done Dan! This feature will definitely help manage those unruly 70+ track mix sessions! You may already be aware of this routing shortcut, but I noticed you re-routing tracks to Aux's or Folders one at a time (time-consuming if re-routing a ton of tracks). You can reassign the outputs of multiple tracks in a single click by 1) selecting all the tracks you wish to re-route, 2) Option-Shift clicking one of them, 3) the selected track(s) to your desired destination Aux or Folder. The output assignments of all selected tracks will all go to the same destination. Great for a whole kit of drums, or stacks of BGVs, etc.. Select them all, Option-Shift-click one of them, and point that toward your desired Aux or Folder. Done :)

    it's nice that Pro Tools finally caught up with a feature REAPER has had since at least 2016.

    • @allengoyne
      @allengoyne Рік тому

      by the way, REAPER doesn't make you route tracks into the folder, that is kind of annoying that protools does, especially since there is already a basic folder function that doesn't make you route in. I don't understand the logic behind this.

    Dan! You are the best reviewer/ teacher on Pro Tools that I've seen. Very thorough and at the same time the pace at which you show everything and teach everything is slow enough to be able to follow you without having to repeat it three or four times and at the same time not too slow. All while highlighting the important points. Thanks so much and keep up the great work

    Dude! Probably the best folders tutorials on UA-cam. All these other reviews I've seen on UA-cam don't show it from the mixing window and I think its easier to explain from that view than from the editing window. I can't wait to update soon to incorporate this into my workflow! 🤘

    Great tutorial.
    Also why do you use pre-master as well as master track?

    • @AudioSorcerer
      @AudioSorcerer 3 роки тому +1

      Thanks so much! I do all my bus processing on a premaster Aux track. I like doing it that way because an aux tracks insert and fader are in a different order than the master track. On a master track, the fader comes first and then the inserts.

    quick one, how'd you get that unique transport window at the bottom of your screen??

    • @AudioSorcerer

      That is the Slate Raven software. You have to buy the touch screens to get that software. amzn.to/3vBG6UG

    How is the compatibility of the Folders with Raven??

    • @AudioSorcerer
      @AudioSorcerer 4 роки тому

      So far I can't find a way to expand or close the folder tracks in the mix window. I have to do it from the edit window. The faders do realign to match the folder track so at least that's good. I'm going to do a little more digging on this.
