So far there has only been ONE vocalist where I agreed with the statement "sings like an angel and screams like a devil", 🥀 and maybe I'm stepping on some Linkin Park fans toes with this, but Mayu is pretty damn close for me. This song went straight from 0 to quite high up among my favorites by Nemo. Murata Tamu (drummer) has two kids. Mayu did take some time off after having her kid. And (like DragonPhlyy said) all of Nemophila's members have been in other bands before. Nemophila is the accidental band, the five of them were supposed to do one show to showcase Mayu's singing so she could find a new band after Lipstick broke up... turns out she did, just not how any of them intended.
I absolutely have to second DragonPhlyy’s request for more from Nemophila especially this album. Of course you might want to wait for music videos, which is understandable. However, the whole album is phenomenal! All of the songs are amazing, but on a few listens I would suggest Alive next, or Hammer Down. Sorry ladies, I’ve been working too much lately make a proper favorite list yet. The stars aligned when this band formed. ❤️🌸
