i just got into this song like 2 weeks ago. i knew she came out with this song some time ago but i never really gave it a listen until like 2 weeks ago, i was at the park, and i was sitting at a bench, and it was a beautiful day out, so i closed my eyes and rested my head on the bench, and i set my phone to play random song and this one came on. There's a common them in a lot of music this past year or two. The beginning is melancholy like but then it ends in a bad place but in a musically good way. Much like the world is today (FUCKED UP)!!! There's so much emotion and realism!!!

There are a few similarities to the musical Singin' in the rain but with some significant twists. I wonder if Billie is familiar with that movie. Similar is the dark rain at night, the fact there's a single person dancing, singing, getting soaked, splashing on purpose, using the word "happy," etc. I think the twists are too obvious to mention here but see for yourself. If you haven't seen the Apple TV documentary that they did about her do whatever you need to to track it down. It's a really good documentary and shows the making of the first album she released. Awesome story about how talented her and her brother are. Pay more attention to the awesome producing her brother does on all of her songs. The way he layers vocals, melodies, unique sounds you barely hear in the background. The transitions in the music. The deep bass tones and the way it sounds classic yet modern at the same time. Her brother is actually a very talented music producer. She's obviously a very good singer. A lot of people don't realize it's actually harder to sing quiet than it is to just yell it all the time like too many others do. If you haven't seen the carpool karaoke she did with James Corden watch that and tell me she is in a great singer and the songs aren't good. Also if you haven't heard the no time to die song from the new James Bond movie check it out and look up some more information about how that song came to be.
If you actually take the time to listen instead of just casually listening for 5 seconds and saying no I think you'll change your opinion. She's actually very talented and she directs all around music videos which is pretty cool too. Multi-talented and the more music I hear made by her and her brother the more respect I have for her brother's production skills as well. He really is very good.
Depending what streaming services you might have she also has an Amazon special and on September 3rd at Disney plus special is going to drop if you have either of those streaming services search her name and enjoy the music. It's really good stuff.
Her music and voice puts me in a relaxed Zen calm mood. It's really good music to relax too if you just throw the album on in the background and take the time to enjoy it without being harsh or judgmental. Just listen to it for what it is and I'll bet you like it.

I felt this one because I was in a abusive relationship 7yrs ago I'm in a healthy good relationship with a amazing man now but 7yrs ago the guy I dated seemed like such a great guy to perfect actually until we were indoors and his ugly came out I was 14 and 15 he even raped me took my virginity by drugging me and let his brother and best friend take advantage of me too so I felt this song because he was very muliputive knew how to make you believe him my man I'm with now when I told him about my ex he cried with me and then he was pissed he wants to kill him for what he did to me it was really bad so bad that my ex almost killed me I got out right on time it took 6yrs to trust men and the man I'm with rn had to work his butt off to get me trust him but I do his the only man I trust besides my brother and grandpa even my best guy friend broke my heart which is another story now I got out of my shell I am myself again and our 1yr anniversary is September 28th don't worry my ex is in jail for abusing me and rapping me and 3 other girls and he killed a girl younger than me I blamed myself for that one because he left me by myself and I left the day the girl was killed he went to the back of his house and I ran away and I heard 5 rounds of a gun next week they found the body of the girl I was sitting in the room with I blamed myself because I left her behind but he called her and if I would have took her with me we both would have been dead so he got put in jail and his brother prison the best friend got 3yrs that's it so yeah I cried listening to this song I feel like screaming too sometimes yes I'm happy now and in a better place but now when I'm in the kitchen or someone yells I get flashbacks and start having a panic attack I have anxiety and depression I remember one time I was helping my man clean and I was in the kitchen and I heard fighting in the other room it was my man's roommate and her boyfriend and all of a sudden something got triggered and I started cleaning like a crazy person and my man walks in on me and I just fell to my knees panicking and crying and he just came over to me and told me to rest and just held me that is when I started opening up to him about my past and shockingly he opened up to me alittle bit about his past and we were both just a mess crying in each other's arms that's when I knew he was my person and I was in love with him so I can relate to Billie but I can also relate to happy songs
