    I use greek seasoning for everything! soups, salads, burger seasoning and this one is by far the best recipe that I have tried. Now I can make it in the bucket load at a fraction of the supermarket price! Thanks for sharing!

    Noreen I love your seasoning blends. I've already tried a couple of them & they were a hit! I also like that there are no preservatives & you're controlling your ingredients. Additionally I think that in the long run THey are cheaper than what you buy in the store. Great recipe.

    Interesting, glad to see many of these already in my cabinet. It will be my fist time attempting to cook Greek inspired recipes so I wanted the seasonings to be close as possible.

    Noreen, I have been looking for something to take the place of Cavender's Greek Seasoning.
    Will your Greek Seasoning Blend come close to that. Just trying to get rid of the MSG and all the garbage we do not need. Appreciate all you do.

      I have no idea what that brand of seasoning is so I cannot say if it is similar or not. Thanks for the comment.

    True Lemon is the best! Have you tried the lime, orange or grapefruit?

      +Kerry Scott I've never seen it at any of my local stores.I'm going to check Walmart website and see if they have it online.I live to far away from the city.

      +Kerry Scott you could make your own. Peel an organic lemon and dry it thoroughly, then blitz it in a blender/spicemill/thingie

      +San Tan its not that expensive. You can look at spice barn dot com and get a lot if different sizes to suit your price range.

      If you cant find it just leave it out. No big deal. The True Lemon will be enough.

    I have not seen lemon powder in our stores, is there a substitution that I could possibly use...or could it be left out of your recipe?

    • @noreenskitchenchannel
      @noreenskitchenchannel  8 років тому

      +missy t The True Lemon is sold by the artificial sweeteners in the grocery store and sometimes by the drink mixes. I guess you could leave it out but it won't be a true Greek seasoning. Alternatively you could add dried lemon peel. True Lemon is also sold online on their website. I also left a link in the information box to where you can buy it from Amazon.

    Many recipes for Greek seasoning include cinnamon or nutmeg.

      Mine doesn’t. Not all are the same. My husband dislikes cinnamon in savory dishes.

    Why are lemon wedges in restaurants scary?

    • @noreenskitchenchannel
      @noreenskitchenchannel  6 років тому +3

      Look it up. Lemon wedges are often found to be the most bacteria ridden item in a restaurant. People who cut them and do not wash their hands, people who reach into the pan to retrieve them with bare hands. Leave them uncovered. Do not wash them before they are prepped for service. The list goes on. There are many articles available about this topic.

    Authentic Greek seasoning has salt because they use it on every thing.

    • @noreenskitchenchannel
      @noreenskitchenchannel  Рік тому

      You can add your own salt to whatever you are making. I do not recall calling this “authentic”. Just My version
