Never thought someone could reach your level of mastering the dialect! Keep it up, I'm a native and I find this very helpful

    •  4 роки тому

انا متعروف مع هادي اللهجة , إنما مفيش حدا يساعدني أقدم باللغة و مفيش عرب في حارتي .
ع فكرة ، انا متعلم لنفسي باوسطة ديسكات و كتب تدريس إنه يتعامل مع اللهجة اني اختارت
I'm familiarized with this dialect, but there's no one to help me proceed with the language & there are no Arabs in my neighborhood
By the way , I'm teaching myself through CDs and textbooks that deal with the dialect that I chose.

Thank you for your videos! You are completely right. I am Palestinian American and have been trying to learn. There are not many great resources for ammiyah. I took a fusha class but I really just want to make conversation in ammiyah. I got the book you recommended "101 most used arabic verbs for Jordan and Palestine." And recently started taking online classes with the Go Palestine center! But its only once a week so ive been watching your videos too and now using the book! It has been frustrating before because everything I saw was fusha ! Are you Palestinian too?

This channel has been a real treasure trove. Excellent video. Just as a note for those wondering: the reason the fella7i dialect is able to realize ق as ك without causing phonemic overlap is because the ك also shifts to t͡ʃ or "ch" in most cases, leaving the ك sound open to a new occupant. Keef 7aalak -> Cheef 7aalach

great that's exciting !! you might want to check out the annotated transcripts which are somewhat advanced but i think you'll be able to get a lot from them because you already understand

So useful! I studied Standard Arabic and I find a switch to a'miyya hard as changes seemed random. Your very clear explanation with examples really help!

it is very strange that your channel/videos dont come up when I typed in Jordanian dialect. U deserve more views and describers. I love your channel! Thank you!

oh that's weird !! i don't really know how UA-cam search works ... i have "jordanian" in the tags but i guess that's not enough ... that's why every video says "LEARN PALESTINIAN ARABIC" in the title - so it appears in every search 😅😂

The bit about learning to read Arabic for pronunciation reminded me of reading textbooks & novels & being completely stumped by the pronunciation of Arabic names & words. I realized if it were in Arabic, I could pronounce it much easier, but in the Romanized, I had no idea what to do!
Thanks for these videos -- it's been a few years since I took classes, & I'm trying to get back self-studying so these will be super helpful. Mashallah & Shukran :)

totally !! i mispronounce the names of Arab public figures constantly because obviously i see their names in English articles & whatnot ... not a good look when i say i speak Arabic but don't know how to properly pronounce romanized names LOL

My genetic father is palestinian but he left when i was about 1 year old and even than had almost no contact. My mother is polish and i grew up in Germany. Now i'd like to learn palestinian. I'm thankful beyond words to have found your channel! I understand now how important it is to learn to write/read arabic. Would you like to recommend maybe any source to learn to write/read for selflearners? Maybe even free sources? Thanks so much, i'll binge your whole channel now 😂❤🎉😅
