This makes f+2,1,4 is not guaranteed to kill your opponent if they are at 44 or 43. Sorry again, I must have miscounted the health when testing it. So been playing only Bryan since T7 and your video I watched yesterday showed me a new set up that's beautiful! I didnt know db3 recovered in full crouch (even though I like to use northern cross after lol) but because of that it's a great set up for the fisherman's slam and the devastating combo that follows. Works on so many people. Just got done with my morning session and 20 wins 2 losses. Purple ranks too. Crushed it! Nice video!

Dang lots of information in here to digest, I knew some things but not them all that's for sure. Definitely gonna try my hardest to apply some of this stuff! The d/b+1+2 part hit close to home. Gatling rush is a situational wall ender. I made a video addressing the issue with the attack. If you are not 100% aligned with the wall, the opponent can slip out. Wedge driver to chains is a nice gimmick if your opponent has been conditioned to keep still. Otherwise, it can result in you getting poked or worse launched out.

Laka oh yeah, definitely took a lot of time. I play on PC and Console. I would definitely be down to play some subscriber games in the future! Though I’m much better at the understanding and explaining the game than actual play. However sub games would still be good :D
if anyone was wondering how to punish laws ws 2 at max range with mach punch, as soon as you block ws 2 during the block input f then ff 2 it sounds weird but thats how i learned just sitting on the practice room.
Also one more thing, after wedge driver do a jet upper, a lot of people press something after the recovery, and the frames on jet upper are usually faster giving you a free launcher. Love doing it. Also taunt snake edge. Lmao no one ever blocks it. Hehe
Thanks again Omar! To be honest, I might want to put taunt in advanced level section, as I believe that Bryan can be played to a decent success at an intermediate level without taunt. I'm still trying to figure out where to place it right now.
Ya know you're right. I was fighting below average players yesterday as I just picked bryan up the couldn't break a throw to save their lives and I knew the couldn't block snake edge, but I decided to chip them out honorably which was way more work. I shouldn't have been a pussy. Thanks
You're not necessarily playing "honorably," but playing on a higher level. As you play better players, you won't even be given the options. So better to play at a higher level, and prepare yourself for the day you won't be able to snake edge them.
I hear you man. There are some other people interested in the same topic. Please be patient with me as I get to those. I am but 1 man with limited time >,< Definitely will be getting to more intermediate and advanced stuff after I cover a few other things.
Peter Y Mao as long there is going to be a video on it I’m am good and of course take all the time u need I just want a video because I’ve been trying to get to TGP with bryan I’m currently at red but anyways thank you
@@Ballerdude132 just as a heads up, I'm going to be putting taunt stuff probably in the advanced level Bryan guide. The reason I say that is it is a very complicated move to figure out when to use, the execution required for even the basic stuff can be iffy if you're not on point, and I honestly think Bryan can be played to something like Red Ranks and Dark Blue Ranks without taunt setups. Don't get me wrong they will help, but not until the purple and Tekken God ranks do I think taunts become mandatory. Anyhow, take care man ^_^ stay tuned. And appreciate the sub!
Peter Y Mao definitely it is very difficult to execute on tech rolls however I find it easier on wall and yes I will be looking forward to see the taunts setups and to u as well take care
Intresting Fact, in Seasson 2 if you have a perfect execution qcf3+4 in the Wall, Taunt Jet Upper is Guaranted and Not parryable, not For Jin and Geease (or goose :v) and open a massive Demage, especially in Wall Break, really cool, cheap a Lot, but really cool
@@PeterYMao Yes, but in the Taunt Jet Upper is i remember first...because i' am a victim of this.... Upgrade....in Ranked....yes... it's Hurts a lot hahahaha
@@kriscollins2437 It will be understand reaction speed. I think it is something that no one has really covered. Also, I wanted to save feints, set ups, and taunts for slightly more advanced stuff. I had set out initially to help the beginner and intermediates and I wanted to build that up first :)
I find that the options I provided are a lot more consistent than the dash in d/b+1+2. In a practice mode, I can do it no problem, however in a real match in the heat of a fight, when it does hit, dash -> d/+1+2 is fairly hard to land.
Hey Peter! I always wanted to main Bryan and, as a newb who has played for 3 weeks as Lars cause he's easy to pick and similar to Bryan in some ways, your videos have been a godsend. I discovered your channel through TheMainManSWE's recent shoutout on his Tekken Tag Heihachi video. Keep 'em comming, mate! And thanks again!
Vinternatt, I will make sure to keep the guides coming. Honestly Vinternatt, if you want to play Bryan, don't feel hesitant to start with Bryan. I know he is very difficult to play and even awkward in the beginning, but play who you want to. Don't feel like just because a character is hard you can't play them. It might take longer before you start seeing significant wins, but if you enjoy the character design, voice work, style, and swag.... Hey why not?! I personally find that playing a character that I enjoy helps me enjoy the game more. Just my thoughts :)
@@PeterYMao dude, that's exactly what I needed to hear. i felt so intimidated by the overwhelming complexity this game has and even more so when I saw I was picking one of the most technical characters in the game, but now I feel I'm willing to deal with the difficulty just out of pure enthusiasm. Thanks again man! I'm so euphoric now ^_^
Hey Peter. Made it to your intermediate section. I am learning how to better myself with him, but just a favor. Do you have a combo guide in the works for him to beginner to advanced in S3?
I think a lot of the moves that characters have all have uses. You just kinda have to find the right situation. I think only about 10% of any given character's moves are "truly" useless. The majority of them are like I said situational... so just gotta recognize the situation xD
@@MrSwantonDude So I just tested this not too long ago too. Seems inconsistent. Try doing it from different ranges. 0,1, and 2 and varying the time when you press 1+2. I find it very inconsistent unfortunately :(
Yes I did. However it is one of those things that in my opinion in a real match, it's pretty intense to do. If you do manage to pull it off in a real match more power to ya.
PeterYMao we need a separate channel for bryan and this is it ❤️ keep it up please ! And one more thing ! Everyone knows how to counter bryan ! They just side step df21 or 121 after qcb 3 ! Or they side step after b1 ! We can’t use any other follow ups ! Kindly help us with that part too !
hey Peter? Do you think you can have any add ons to my combo? 3,3,2 dash db2 1 b2,4 b3~f2,1 it does 87dmg and i use it for wall carrying but idk what other moves to do once i reach the wall. Hoping you could help
@@mlewis307 sorry for the delayed response, I am out of town. So to answer your question: If your opponent is front facing you: 3,3,2 DASH qcf+3,4 qcb+2,4 DASH b+3~f+2,1 This does 99 DMG If your opponent is back facing you: 3,3,2 DASH qcf+3,4 qcb+2,4 DASH d/b+1+2 This does 95 DMG These are not easy combos. The opponent back facing is very hard, so I recommend you just do the following... If your opponent is back facing you: 3,3,2 f,F+4 DASH 3,3,4
@@M.A.K.T. I would assume if they ducked the mach punch they would most likely whiff punish you with a WS moving. If they are going to punish you with a WS move, then I would suggest holding block and hope that they miss the timing so maybe you can punish their punish. I hope that made sense.
M T try going into practice mode set CPU Bryan to Mach Punch and then duck it. You will see that most 15-16 fr punishers have a pretty sizeable openning to launch punish a ducked Mach Punch.
These Vids flesh out Bryan and explains what’s good and bad about him not hearing Bryan is Crap, he’s slow use Kaz or other Mishimas or use somebody else because he is cheap.
Peter Y Mao Thank you for making these vids I can’t wait for the other explanations on Bryan. On a side note I don’t know if you have a video planned to make a in depth on movement or not (Disclaimer I’m not saying to make a video on it just curious on some movement techniques) But how do people do the Korean back dash with Bryan? At times I’ll be getting the SWY input when attempting this and I can’t get it accurately all the time so I end doing this funky back dash instead of pressing down I press up and back
Kyle Jackson I definitely will do a KBD tutorial. Right now, my goal is to cover most of the beginner stuff and then I’ll move to KBD. The thing is KBD not necessarily needed if say below something like the yellow ranks. As generally everyone’s movements there need work.
@@aboutoneminutes to answer your question regarding 3,3,2 1) If FIRST hit whiffs then nothing else is guaranteed, the opponent can block everything after 2) If FIRST hit is CH then second 3 is guaranteed, but the 2 is not guaranteed 3) If SECOND hit is CH then the last hit which is the 2 is guaranteed Hope that helps you.
TheBigBenj oh no! I have shown a Paul the secret ways of the Bryans! Joke. Glad you were able to use this as a ways of finding counters to benefit your character. :D
Not every move is meant to be used at the competitive level. Some of these moves can be used more so at the beginner levels / lower intermediate levels. But I assure you that a lot of them actually have some application. Having said that, I do think Tekken could reduce the number of moves in the game as there are too many, and not all of them are that great. So I do partly agree with you.
WS 3, 4 (2nd hit CH) is +29? Doesn't that give us a guaranteed f 1+4? Or better yet, taunt if the opponent's back is to the wall? That sounds pretty great.
You have to time the f+1+4 very precisely or they can backdash out. But you can. However, f+1+4 is -12 so against better players f+1+4 is only used as a finishing attack.

if anyone was wondering how to punish laws ws 2 at max range with mach punch, as soon as you block ws 2 during the block input f then ff 2 it sounds weird but thats how i learned just sitting on the practice room.
>.< this is why I suggest d/b+1+2
PeterYMao but the style point Peter the style points 😂
Also one more thing, after wedge driver do a jet upper, a lot of people press something after the recovery, and the frames on jet upper are usually faster giving you a free launcher. Love doing it. Also taunt snake edge. Lmao no one ever blocks it. Hehe
Lol, taunt snake edge. Yes surprisingly it actually works more than I always suspect.
I don't consider myself an intermediate player yet but this seriously helped me D': Thank you
Glad it helped :)
Very good video again ! Hope to see a taunt video soon
So better to play at a higher level, and prepare yourself for the day you won't be able to snake edge them.
sick vids man, super helpful.
Thanks meme!
I love the tips and helps of this video I would like to see a video for advance and intermediate players of bryan
Luan Roberto easier with taunt b+4. Lol wouldn’t you say?
@@PeterYMao Yes, but in the Taunt Jet Upper is i remember first...because i' am a victim of this.... Upgrade....in Ranked....yes... it's Hurts a lot hahahaha
@@LuanRoberto96 lol
Loved the vid. You gained a new sub. looking forward to your taunt setup vid
Subbed. Main man said hi ❤
Thank you Michael. Main man is truly the man. He is part of the inspiration for me to make these guides / tutorial videos.
same xD
Awesome vid man,
Kris Collins thanks man!
Peter Y Mao for sure, looking forward to the next video as well. Feints, set ups, maybe the taunt?
@@kriscollins2437 It will be understand reaction speed. I think it is something that no one has really covered. Also, I wanted to save feints, set ups, and taunts for slightly more advanced stuff. I had set out initially to help the beginner and intermediates and I wanted to build that up first :)
Peter Y Mao Sounds good man! Would you take me as a student?
I live in Toronto I play on PS4 as Bryan
TheDenizenk41
26:50 or you can dash in and do DB+1+2
I find that the options I provided are a lot more consistent than the dash in d/b+1+2. In a practice mode, I can do it no problem, however in a real match in the heat of a fight, when it does hit, dash -> d/+1+2 is fairly hard to land.
I love this guide btw, suzaku!!
:) Thanks Tk_Okizeme
31:50 but you're still going to need to be able to punish with the mach punch for the heihachi/paul matchup :(
I haven't started that but I will at some point. Thanks for your patience Rodriguez Cook :)
These vids are amazing man! keep it up :) and its cool seeing moves like d 3+4 being explained and not disregarded completely.
I think a lot of the moves that characters have all have uses. You just kinda have to find the right situation. I think only about 10% of any given character's moves are "truly" useless. The majority of them are like I said situational... so just gotta recognize the situation xD
9:25 Hey, man. If I'm not mistaken it switches sides if you hold the last forward of the input. So FF1+2 will switch but Ff1+2 won't
I'll have to test this and get back to you on it. Did you by any chance test this out?
@@PeterYMao Haha I had have the mind to before messaging just in case I was wrong. However, I have yet too.
@@PeterYMao Tested and confirmed holding the last forward input changes side double tapping does not
@@MrSwantonDude So I just tested this not too long ago too. Seems inconsistent. Try doing it from different ranges. 0,1, and 2 and varying the time when you press 1+2. I find it very inconsistent unfortunately :(
@@PeterYMao Well dang. I'm going to have to retest it that way. Never even crossed my mind tbh
I think after f+1+2 you can get a db+1+2 if you dash up.
Yup! Absolutely!
Amazing guide i really appreciate it😊
Thank you Mental Man. Glad you enjoy the guides. :)
Oh, had no idea the f+4+1 was punishable on hit wtf. Good video btw.
Kepan yuuuuup! Haha
I know this is kind of late but did you know that after a f1+2 you can do roughly a half dash into d/b1+2 and both hits will connect
Yes I did. However it is one of those things that in my opinion in a real match, it's pretty intense to do. If you do manage to pull it off in a real match more power to ya.
My Fav channel .. thank you for the video
No problem man. Appreciate the
PeterYMao we need a separate channel for bryan and this is it ❤️ keep it up please ! And one more thing ! Everyone knows how to counter bryan ! They just side step df21 or 121 after qcb 3 ! Or they side step after b1 ! We can’t use any other follow ups ! Kindly help us with that part too !
Fun fact whilst snake edge is on the subject. I love trolling the move after taunt 🤣🤣
You and all of us other Bryans.
31:14
add down o to end string
What? That makes no sense to me sorry. I don’t understand
@@PeterYMao oh when you complete that string
You can nail that i afterwards
Jimmy j does it all the time
Down 4 lol
Make a video of bryan setups .. like frame traps or side step setups .. wall setups ... it will help alot
I have a bunch of things to do that is in my mind, but Bryan setups are on the way. Just other things in the pipeline.
PeterYMao yessss 😍😍😍😍
+sub. as a main this guide is very well done. keep it up :)
:) Thanks so much Faalmunax
@@PeterYMao you're welcome :) and please make more of these.
"d3, 2 could be broken as fck"
and here comes leroy...
LOLO. Well Leroy at least more balanced now. ^_^
Can you buffer chains of misery throw in a jab for example? Seems like Julia's throw forgot the name.
You can not buffer chains of misery since it requires you to be in full crouch for at least 6 frames.
@@PeterYMao damn so do you have to be in full crouch or is there a faster way to get it to come out?
@@bastinelli443 there are many ways to get into do instant full crouch. For Bryan you can do qcf, d/b, d, d/f
@@PeterYMao awesome thank you! Going to practice that.
You can get a dash up DB 1+2 off F 1+2 for 50 dmg
Yup, thanks. Some one told me recently as well
@@PeterYMao no prob, great work so far, hope to see even more stuff from you soon!
@@VapidZero you bet
Amazing creator u r ....thank u
Thank you! Cheers!
hey Peter? Do you think you can have any add ons to my combo?
3,3,2 dash db2 1 b2,4 b3~f2,1
it does 87dmg and i use it for wall carrying but idk what other moves to do once i reach the wall. Hoping you could help
Kenji sorry what do you mean once you reach the wall? You mean for wall combo or do you mean to maximize 3,3,2 damage?
Yes, to maximize the damage or even for wall combos
@@mlewis307 sorry for the delayed response, I am out of town. So to answer your question:
If your opponent is front facing you:
3,3,2 DASH qcf+3,4 qcb+2,4 DASH b+3~f+2,1
This does 99 DMG
If your opponent is back facing you:
3,3,2 DASH qcf+3,4 qcb+2,4 DASH d/b+1+2
This does 95 DMG
These are not easy combos. The opponent back facing is very hard, so I recommend you just do the following...
If your opponent is back facing you:
3,3,2 f,F+4 DASH 3,3,4
thanks so much, going to practice these out
@@mlewis307 No problem
one thing im having problems with is the cancel
do one with just the canceling moves
I did. Please check my playlist for Bryan.
@@PeterYMao u did and now im humbled
How about using f+2,1 after mach punch to catch ducking opponent?
Is your opponent ducking mach punch when it's thrown out? Or do you mean after mach punch is blocked?
Yes, ducking the mach punch
@@M.A.K.T. I would assume if they ducked the mach punch they would most likely whiff punish you with a WS moving. If they are going to punish you with a WS move, then I would suggest holding block and hope that they miss the timing so maybe you can punish their punish. I hope that made sense.
Ws execute less than 15f ?
M T try going into practice mode set CPU Bryan to Mach Punch and then duck it. You will see that most 15-16 fr punishers have a pretty sizeable openning to launch punish a ducked Mach Punch.
These Vids flesh out Bryan and explains what’s good and bad about him not hearing Bryan is Crap, he’s slow use Kaz or other Mishimas or use somebody else because he is cheap.
Glad you found the explanations helpful :)
Peter Y Mao Oh okay cool thank you for the response like I said before just curious about it I’ll wait for that video to come out
I like videos so much very informative
So nice of you to enjoy the content ^_^ happy it helps you
4,3 into 4,3,4 is much harder to execute now almost like a just frame.
4,3 into 4,3,4 is not worth it anymore. Better is 4,3 -> d/b+2 -> 1 -> f,F+3 -> b+3~f+2,1
during the 3 3 2 string, if you whiff the first 3, you'll get the 3 and jet upper guaranteed on hit. am i right?
Sorry could you rephrase your question? I'm not sure I understand.
if you whiff the first hit in 3,3,2 string, the last 3,2 is guaranteed on hit or not? sorry for my bad english...😂😂
btw, thanks for this amazing video dude....
@@aboutoneminutes to answer your question regarding 3,3,2
1) If FIRST hit whiffs then nothing else is guaranteed, the opponent can block everything after
2) If FIRST hit is CH then second 3 is guaranteed, but the 2 is not guaranteed
3) If SECOND hit is CH then the last hit which is the 2 is guaranteed
Hope that helps you.
Thanks to this my brother’s bryan is gonna be destroyed by me
Haha. Who do you play TheBigBenj?
@@PeterYMao I'm a Paul main
TheBigBenj oh no! I have shown a Paul the secret ways of the Bryans! Joke. Glad you were able to use this as a ways of finding counters to benefit your character. :D
@@PeterYMao Oh yeah, I'll be pointing to this video for reasons why my brother hates me XD
Why even create a character with all these moves (slow moves) that can be countered??
Not every move is meant to be used at the competitive level. Some of these moves can be used more so at the beginner levels / lower intermediate levels. But I assure you that a lot of them actually have some application. Having said that, I do think Tekken could reduce the number of moves in the game as there are too many, and not all of them are that great. So I do partly agree with you.
I don’t have julai so i’ll just do jab and b, df cancel so i can do shotgun mixups
0kills lol, sorry? I don’t think I’m understanding

What with the background music nonsense
I don't play Bryan but I also don't know how to beat him so this'll be helpful. MainMan says hi!
GuiltyVision, glad at least these serve as an anti-Bryan strat for you. I will give TMM my regards later
