Hope you all enjoyed the video. Just to let everyone know I have extraction rights to take gravel from that beach below the high tide mark along with permission from the land owner to drive on their land👍
Great natural way to get gravel. Very eco friendly given the fact the rock hasn’t been broken out of the ground or gone through a crusher. Nice job👍
Aye it works out well👍
I wish we could still do things like this in our state in the US. We aren't allowed near water with our tractors anymore - at least around here. Wonderful EPA and County law changes... Also really appreciated your demonstration and the hitch setup unhooking the trailer - always wondered how they worked and kind of want a tractor with one now :) Sure would beat jacking a trailer up and down every time you got into the field.
Excellent vid shed gonna b good for lambing😎 make sure ur dual pump button is on(just above key) will tip trailer and work loader far quicker👍👍
Nice to see you helping yourself to a bit of gravel Saves a bit of money as there’s nowt in the job
Great video as always. Looking forward to seeing what the farm looks like this time next year
Thank you👍
Love the singing

Great to see your 5713s pulling so well. She is a fair yoke and looks comfortable to sit in while working. Happy New Year Angus look forward to more good videos

good video just found the channel and so happy keep up the good work keep farming and happy new year
Thank you👍
First video of yours I’ve seen, I’ll definitely be sticking around! Quick tip I know from driving our 5610, on your right there is a panel of switches where you have your beacon and ploughs settings amongst other things. There is a button there with a plus symbol on it (think it’s next to the 2rd dial down). Press that to engage another hydraulic pump which will double the speed of your loader. This is great for loading the trailer as you don’t need to Rev tractor to get the loader up in a sensible time. I always turn it off after I’ve used the loader as you can hear it takes a lot of power. Also, you might burst a pipe is you use it with something like a trailer as the oil flow is pretty fast! Hope this helps.
Thank you👍aye I use that button sometimes but I feel like I'm abusing the tractor when 4wd is engaged aswell just by the noise it makes
Has to be the most beautiful workplace
I would agree👍
Unreal views there Angus!! Great to have access to gravel like that. Still a bit of work in loading and carting but worth it l'm sure. Solid trailer for the job and loving that massey!!!!! Is she 4 cylinder? The 3 cylinder ones sound funny and seem highly geared imo.
Happy New year to you! And keep the videos coming for 2021
Thank you, aye the trailer is solid and perfect for that job and the tractor is a 4cylinder. Happy new year👍
Great video Angus :) Keep posting ok .... :)
Cheers👍
Great vid lad keep it up 😉
Cheers👍
I love your videos
Thank you👍
Happy new year
Happy new year
There is a dual pump button on the pillar where the key is that speeds up your loader hydraulics
Good video
Thank you👍
Must be nice having free hardcore, an you ship some over to the north east as I’m sick of driving through dubs & slop👍
Aye the hardcore is a handy thing to have👍
Enjoy watching your videos Angus. We have just bought a Massey Ferguson 5713sl to replace our 3.5 year old 5712sl which has done over 3500 hours in that time. Been interested in your videos to see how it performed. Ours should arrive February time.
Thank you, Its been brilliant to us so far. Is the (SL) any different to the (S)??
@@AngusGloverVlogs We haven’t got the Visio roof on ours but it’s a mid spec one with controls on the armrest. Think it has 4 spools, 2 electric and 2 manual, don’t really need 4 but that’s what was on the at the dealership. Could have got the new 5s which replaces the 5700 series but dad didn’t like the new look. Not sure think the 5700 is a lower spec tractor compared to the 5700sl.
Great video mate looks like the it was no job for the Massey
Cheers mate👍it didn't faze the massey at all.
that is my granpairnts house on the hill
Did you chicken out taking the trailer any closer? Great video, I never heard of beach gravel before but it makes sense
Thank you👍If I took the trailer off the hard I don't think I would have the traction to get it out when loaded, the beach gravel is good for the shed floor as it drains easy and doesn't cost anything apart from diesel👍
Would there be any salt in the gravel to corrode the steel H girders?. Just a thought as I'd never heard or thought about sea shale, maybe because I'm from back of beyond, lol.
Yes there is abit of salt in that gravel but as so little touches the steel work it wont effect it atall 👍
You should do more unhitching in the videos
Do you need any form of permit and permission to remove it from the beach
Yes, I have extraction rights to take gravel from that beach below the high tide mark along with permission from the land owner to drive on their land👍
@@AngusGloverVlogs That’s great news I guess it’s useful stuff
Is this a privately owned beach or can anyone drive down here and help themselves to sand or beach gravel ?
I don't know if its privately owned or not but the only reason I can take gravel from there is because I have extraction rights to take gravel from that beach below the high tide mark👍
Not sure if you know but it is illegal to take stones and sand from the beach or is it private/ got a permit
Yeah I have extraction rights to take gravel from below the high tide mark on that beach along with permission from the land owner to drive on their land👍
Oh aye that trailer would be worth that cuz we had a 40 year old silage trailer we paid £950 for brand new and we just sold it for £1000
Aye trailers seem to hold value👍
Aye it’s old trailers and new trailers r the same value these days
What acreage is the farm Angus?
We own 500acres and rent a few at different times of the year👍
Sure how would the trailer give any bother with wee loads like that. My 10x6 would take double them loads
I suppose that's how its lasted that long👍
@@AngusGloverVlogs 😂😂😂😂😂😂
What size is that trailer
13t dump trailer

good video and don't want to be a do gooder, but isn't it illegal to take stones from the beach?
i am pretty sure it is but he isn't harming anything in the middle of no ware if loads of people were doing it then it would be a big problem
It would normally be illegal but I have extraction rights to take gravel from that beach below the high tide mark👍
If you have access to this gravel rock stuff how come your always slopping around in the mud and the shite on you farm throw done heaps of this stuff make some Tracks and paved areas
It's not much good for tracks and heavy equipment driving over it all the time as it scuffs up easily but I have a few plans for the summer👍
You'd get locked up for taking gravel off beach in UK.
I have extraction rights that legally allow me to take gravel below the high tide mark on that beach along with permission from the land owner to drive on their land👍
Angus, you might be best to take your video down untill you find out the legality of taking pebbles from shore, i don't think you can in scotland
Yeah I have extraction rights to take gravel from that beach below the high tide mark and permission from the land owner to drive on their land👍
