I just love how they are so free. You mentioned something very important about letting our children touch and explore and not stop their curiosity. Me and my husband have a problem with my son touching dirty things and putting his hands in his mouth. I saw how Christian and Ains were rolling their cuties on the Mat and then peeled their cuties and even give one to Ruby. Please what can you advise us to do? If it was my own son, we would have washed his hands and throw away the cuties that touched the ground😔 not even mentioned to put it in his mouth. it is so hard for us to be like this but with the pandemic it’s so difficult. Thanks Kaleigh

Being type A has helped me so much as a parent; we can have fun and enjoy the robust beauty of nature because the bag is packed and the plans are in place ! I love the variety of different families' routines. For example my kids are up at the crack of dawn and breakfast is so early that we need a snack by 9am and the 16 month old needs a nap by then too; so we play in the backyard in the early morning then have our big outing from 10-12:30 before lunch and the second round of naps. Thank you for the tips and tricks and motivation especially!

Yes girl! I'm with you! There is definitely a variety of styles when it comes to preparation and planning but I am right there with you with thriving as a type A! And at the same time, it sounds like your mornings are running a whole lot earlier than ours are! You're going to LAUGH when you see our Summer Day in the Life coming out on Friday! I'm still laughing at my pregnant self days later 😅 Thanks for checking out our video today! 💛 Enjoy that SUNSHINE! ☀️

How long do you guys generally stay at the park? What do you do when it’s just to hott.

Great question! We generally stay AT LEAST an hour and anywhere up to 2 hours! That plus 30 minutes to get there and unloaded and 30 minutes to get back and unloaded makes up our 3 hour block! When it hot, we go to splash pads (we have TONS), down by a shaded Eddie in the river, or even just in our backyard (also very shaded) for some water table, trampoline, swing set play! In general, I think if you can get to water and/or shade, there are lots of options! 💛☀️

Great video as always! ☀️ Do you guys still follow the block schedule from the original video you did on that topic, or do you have a different rhythm during the summer or so? 😊

Great question! Our block schedule is a lot more relaxed in the summer because so much more change! But if generally looks like this:
      6:00-8:30am | Morning Responsibilities
      8:30-11:30am | Morning Activity Block
      11:30-2:30pm | Mid-Day Responsibilities (Including Nap)
      2:30-5:30pm | Afternoon Activity Block
      5:30-8:00pm | Evening Responsibilities
But of course, we’ve got to be super flexible too with all that is going on! I hope that helps! ☀️
