There was some series (Lodge 49, Hulu?), these several years latter, mostly forgotten (although I seem to remember Sonya Cassidy had what it takes to make a mule kick his stable down)- but there was THIS song. It is sublime and enduring in my mind. All those internal rhymes-like madness as the hands on our collective clock climb towards midnight.
Yet another song and band I discovered by watching Lodge 49. So I ask, which radio station or satellite music channel (SiriusXM?) is brave enough to play something beyond the top 10 every once in a while so people like me can discover bands like El Goodo? There are other artists besides Vampire Weekend, ya know! (To you so-called "Alternative" stations, I meant other artists besides Billie Eilish.)
Liz is hotter than a $20 pistol on a Saturday night. So is this song! Love the neo-psychedelia of some of the songs on Lodge 49, but this is the first one I've actually run down.
Bang, bang, bang goes the gun. The tank wheels rattle As they roll like cattle This commotion Plays in slow motion. Tick, tick, tick goes the clock. And I ask in those hours Can we trade bullets for flowers? But I'm hoping 'Cause those guns are smoking! I once felt safe in my home. But amidst the panic I scrammed for the attic And I'm hidden All sounds forbidden. The human race has been run. Though it took some time They have crossed that line Photo finishers But there can be no winners. I've lived so long trouble free. Now little old me's Stuck in World War III And I'm despairing At the world's sad ending. Footsteps creep down below My demise is looming And my heart is booming Like thunder I just sit and wonder
@@ruslanakbar2730 Very nice! Thank you. Seeing the words displayed and marveling at the rhythm and the internal rhymes-I KNOW this is visionary-like some post modern William Blake. Maybe I was meant to find this. Its power and significance grows as our collective clock hands ''climb towards midnight''. I'm afraid to even google the latest reset on the ''Doomsday Clock''.
this was posted on the Lodge 49 Fan Group on Facebook for virtual bunco night, glad to be introduced to this song
Came here because of Lodge 49.
The Dudleys F'd those yuppies and their weird ass son up!
Oh yes, The Dudleys Rule!!!
Yeah right! Such a frickin' amazing show...
One of the best moments in the whole show.

I saw them live last night in Cardiff this song was 4th on the set. They were incredible and all for £10
What a track. Just bought their new album Zombie. Now there's a thing of beauty.

We all need a Liz in our lives
A woman like Liz could make a man go mad. She got what it takes to make a mule kick his stable down!
@@meetontheledge1380 def not as a partener, more like a friend
@@daahsri That would be alright, for sure. Main thing was that Lodge 49 led me to this song!
5 years between firsts releases, 8 years since last one. But I'll be damned if it ain't worth it !
Get Zombie new album. 👌
wow what a track
Whata tune.
Good video!
Sounds like something from a Tarantino movie.
My thoughts exactly
First thing I thought while listening to this.
Класс!
Where can I find lyrics ? :(
Bang, bang, bang goes the gun.
The tank wheels rattle
As they roll like cattle
This commotion
Plays in slow motion.
Tick, tick, tick goes the clock.
And I ask in those hours
Can we trade bullets for flowers?
But I'm hoping
'Cause those guns are smoking!
I once felt safe in my home.
But amidst the panic
I scrammed for the attic
And I'm hidden
All sounds forbidden.
The human race has been run.
Though it took some time
They have crossed that line
Photo finishers
But there can be no winners.
I've lived so long trouble free.
Now little old me's
Stuck in World War III
And I'm despairing
At the world's sad ending.
Footsteps creep down below
My demise is looming
And my heart is booming
Like thunder
I just sit and wonder
with your ears lol
