Linz (/lɪnts, lɪnz/; German: [ˈlɪnts]; Czech: Linec) is the capital of Upper Austria and third-largest city in Austria. In the north of the country, it is on the Danube 30 kilometres (19 miles) south of the Czech border. In 2018, the population was 204,846.[3]
From 1945 to 1955, Linz was divided, with the city north of the Danube occupied by the Soviets and to the south by the Americans. In 2009, it was a European Capital of Culture.[4] Linz is known for Linzertorte.

@@travelandadventurestudios linz had to change it's image during the last few decades because of it's world war II history and reputation as a "smelly steel city" and i am glad all those efforts seem to work out 🥳
