I always found it a bit amusing how Dynamix decided to make the player's A-10 a two-seater so they could have a co-pilot provide feedback and banter, despite the fact that only a single YA-10B prototype was ever built before the project was cancelled. The in-game visual depiction doesn't reflect this either, with the aircraft resembling a standard single seat A-10A instead. Yeah, MiGs are a real PITA, with one typically launching from an enemy airfield before you get a chance to put the runway out of commission. I target them immediately and try to smoke them with a Sidewinder as soon as possible. Despite losing target lock, there is one major advantage to flying under 90 feet; SAM launchers can't target you. This allows you to get in close and blast them with the Avenger at treetop level, though there's always the risk of crashing if you don't have a light touch! You can also reliably deal with them at higher altitudes by firing a Maverick at maximum distance followed by immediately turning around. The one exception to this are SA-11s with their extra large detection radius.
Thanks for the tips, I never played this thoroughly eventhough it was basically one of the first PC games I owned - I got it on that Red Baron / A-10 double pack CD with my PC, while I tried both games at first I liked the Red Baron more so the A-10 was left behind.
It was my first flight simulator.... I played it on my first IBM 286 PC.
Would love to see the Gulf War campaign play through.

Correction. M-60 is a allied addon in the Desert Storm missions. T-55 T-62 are enemy.
