Thanks again for all your great questions. I had lots of fun answering them 😊
Do you push your meds through your tube? I've seen people with nasal tubes push their meds through their tubes.
@@rubytheservicedog8655 I put my powdered meds through the tube (Picoprep, movicol) but I take my tablets orally
Thanks for the great video! It was very informative and well done!
I am glad you liked it ☺️
Love your voice talking fast, cute 🥰
Haha thanks 😂☺️
That was great. You should do it more. I have two questions for you. Since you have had to have it replaced multiple times, have they mentioned a permanent go tube? Also, you mentioned it sliding slightly out at times. They gave me a bridle which is bothersome but holds it in place.
I am glad you enjoyed it ☺️ it sometimes does slide out but I usually push it back in. It's pretty stable at the moment which is good ☺️
Thank you for this. I found it really useful.
Just curious, what exactly is a flair up? My GP is bad all the time.
Flare up for me was extra cramping, bloating, sometimes with more acid reflux. The prokinetic I'm on made my gastroparesis go away, though.
Flare ups for me are when everything is 10× worse. It's always bad for me too but sometimes everthing escalated
You answered my question. That was so cool. #scienceywords. XD I have to wonder if you weren’t eating solids if the bloating situation would be better. I can’t get rid of my bloating to save my life and it’s so painful. I read a paper recently on the affective use of cannabis for gastroparesis. I’ve started using CBD oil and it reduces some of the pain but it’s expensive.
Have you tried Mestinon or Parasym Plus yet? Mestinon is super cheap to buy, but it requires a prescription - this is a prokinetic, and it cured my gastroparesis. Parasym plus is an over-the-counter health supplement that was designed to mimic Mestinon, but I haven't tried that one.
@@dcooper1535 Hey, thanks for the advice. I’ve told my doctors about M
@@dcooper1535I have told my doctors about Mestinon but they don’t think it’s a good idea to try it. And it seems that over the counter you mentioned isn’t available in my country. P.S. UA-cam won’t let me edit my post. Sorry for the multiple replies.
@@marzettik A neurologist would be more likely to prescribe the Mestinon, since they're more familiar with it. An Ehlers Danlos specialist prescribed it to me, after I brought them research articles showing its low risk and its effectiveness as a prokinetic. It's much safer than Domperidone and related first-line gastroparesis medications. Perhaps you can find a doctor who is willing to try it, or you could go to a place like Mayo Clinic that is up to date on the latest research and treatment options. Which country are you in?
@@dcooper1535 I’m in Canada. The draw back to free health care is that waitlists are long and you have to take whoever they assign you too. I brought research to my last GI appointment and both he and my primary doctor agreed there “wasn’t significant enough research” to try it. It’s very frustrating.
Got a question for you, what happen if you have allergies then when you sneeze does the tube come out as you sneeze. Just curious.❤️
Sometimes but not by much 😊
Girl just cut out dairy completely so bad and causes inflammation
hey amity
Hey Alyssa, how are you doing? ☺️
