That's why THEIR were all the unwed mothers after the fall of Berlin, when a government sanctions force against another country, that's when people have to stand up and say co-operation NOT FORCE!!!! But in the end it comes down to greed!!!!most will stab you in the back for a pair of shoes

Thanks for sharing Dave. I had no idea this was there, I'm so glad you did the video. In the winter of 2019 I went to Riga, Latvia and visited the Ghetto, a concentration camp, and a mass burial site. It was very hard to take it all in and not one most people seek out when traveling, but it is so important to not forget. So very hard to explain, but I have the feeling that you know what I mean by this.

My son and I just got back from Krakow very well worth the trip but might I suggest that you wait till spring when the snow is gone before you go. They have had an unusual amount of snow and it is hard to visiualize what you are seeing and some building were not open due to too much snow on the roofs. The christmas market in Krakow was unvelievable!

I'd still hard to fathom how this became "normalized" for some people. Treating adults in this way is horrifying but how could anyone do this to children as well? Thank you or sharing this for those of us that haven't seen it before. With what is going on in the world today, watching this would be a good lesson for people to learn from.

I visited the former camp at Plaszow last year while spending a week in krakow.Besides a few information boards detailing the horrors which took place here , you’d be forgiven to think you where strolling through a suburban park.Dog walkers, cyclists ,runners. I wondered if the locals realized the events which took place on this hauntingly beautiful place. I feel a permanent information and educational facility is needed within the grounds , in tribute to the thousands of souls who perished in this little known part of the Nazi regime.

As a frequent visitor to Krakow, I have been to Plaszow (real camp and the movie set) as well as Auschwitz and Birkenau, and all Schindler's List shooting locations. Being in those places certainly brings it home how terrible those events must have been. Some areas of the Krakow ghetto are still as they were back in the 1940's, and there are a couple of segments of the ghetto wall still standing, and in one place there are still bullet holes in the wall where a group of elderly were executed.

There’s a documentary of the maid and daughter of Goeth met. They toured the house there together. The daughter couldn’t seem to fully understand. The Jewish maid cried, no I could see it all right here. Here is where he trained his dogs and people were torn apart. The Jewish maid though spared, had to watch behind barred windows, listening. She longed to be instead in the camp.

Went to Krakow this October after not being back to Krakow and Auschwitz since I was 12 years old (16 years ago), was a very different sight to see, a lot has changed for the tourism factor, especially Auschwitz/Birkenau but I can't say it's for the bad, we took a tour this time around and was just as emotional as 16 years ago.. Went to Plaszow for the first time and was amazed of what was left (pretty much nothing), it is incredibly hilly though and quite the walk when you visit all corners of the former camp, luckily they are now doing excavation work to put down gravel trails to make it more accessible and nicer looking and really getting the history known to the people. The szary dom (grey house) is in really rough shape, but hope they can manage to turn this in to a museum later on.
Went to visit as much ww2 places I could fit in a week time, went to the former ghetto's, the bridge which was also in Schindlers List, the Schindler museum (was a bit of a let down ngl) and many more places from the movie and real life... Will 100% come back in the future.

I was born in 1953 and I can remember my dad telling me about the concentration camps and I couldn’t understand why nobody stopped it? I'm a Brit in the USA, and my Grandfather was shot down and became a German POW [EDIT. as in a POW of the Germans] for four years. He came out looking like a skeleton, and he was in a special (one would think "better") camp; Stalag Luft. It took America until 1941, after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, to join us in fighting Hitler. I see the same resistance in many Americans today, who don't want to fund, let alone fight, for Ukraine. Even more disturbing, is the fact that so many have never be taught, or deny, or have forgotten the terrible horrors of WWII.

Theirs a book called “No Greater Ally” and its about Poland as a whole and how they fought for the entire world’s freedom and fought damn hard and well and in the end they were absolutely sold out and thrown to the dogs, and apparently Churchill tried telling FDR not to trust a damned thing Stalin said, especially about the Soviets were just gonna make sure Poland had free and fair elections and have self determination, but FDR was out of his league as far as politics go,eastern Europe was not upstate New York or wherever he was from and he didn’t know who he was dealing with in Stalin, but anyway, the Poles were some of the best soldiers in WWll and contrary to popular belief, their military put up a better fight than anyone else that was invaded by the Nazis other than the Soviet Union, but yeah, those ppl have had to fight for centuries for peace and usually knew going in they had a pretty good chance of losing but gave it hell anyway, just on principle

In most human beings there is the seed of hatred, the seed of love and decency. Often in time a demagogue finds the key to unlock the hatred in some people and if that demagogue achieves controlling power, the seed of hatred grows quickly. From that seed come the killers of Auschwitz and Plaszow: they are ordinary human beings who listened to the demagogue.
It can happen in our beloved USA: it can erupt anywhere. It is our duty to make sure it does not. If we can.

Thankyou for this terrifying and yet incitful documentary. I am 82 now and remember when the horrors and death numbers were coming out to the general public when I was beginning high school. I had a history teacher, who when I raised this subject began yelling at me that it wasn't true. In this period of another "Jew hating" era due to the Israel Palestine conflict, I have been encountering people l know who are spouting "Free Palestine " and have no idea what they are talking about. It is just so mindless. These people seem to have missed ancient history and WW11 teaching in school or something. It seems to me that the general population is becoming a hot bed of ignorance and ignoramuses. There seems so little depth of humanity instilled and even education of the humanities etc. is so shallow. I applaud your firm decision to never stop teaching this horrifying period of history. Blessings!!

Today I see it play out in different standings
    Without a bullet.
Without a voice to be heard.
Because security we gave our freedom to .
And disease 🦠 just because we were segregated to inside different buildings throughout the country.

That was to do with the final solution by the Nazi's in the murdering of the Jews in the extermination camps. The Hitler and the SS had quotas to exterminate as many Jews as they could in a month or a year which was written down and kept as a record for the senior SS and also Hitler himself. Some of the records would have been destroyed as the allies liberated the camps so the totals the allies actually found could have been a lot more.

An excellent opportunity and presentation about the camp portrayed in SCHLINDER'S LIST.
I don't think I could live in the house where Goth lived and used as his post of death. It should have been a museum.
After the Germans destroyed the camp while retreating, the Russians tried to force the Holocaust as a topic off limits. I am so glad that someone cares enough to continue the memory regardless how small.
Did society really mean: NEVER AGAIN/NEVER FORGET? Seems to me the answer is NO.
If we meant it, why did the 7 October 2023 massacre occur in Israel? Instead of supporting Israel, fighting again for their existence, leaders and fools want Israel to stop protecting their people and their country. Places where JESUS walked and taught, are trying to be taken away from Israel.
What about genocides that have happened around the world since WW2? What about China?
May GOD bless the victims regardless of the location. We must stand up and speak out against genocide.

Not ONLY must this be taught in our schools so it's not repeated we MUST also teach about ALL the mass murders done. This includes the assault on the native American Indians that was another holocaust. There's so many episodes like this in world history. Look at how many christians were killed in the arenas by Rome.
BUT we haven't learned a damn thing now we massacre the unborn and list it as a right, if you don't want a kid either don't have sex, get fixed or take the pill BUT we can't do that because it makes WAY to much sense and then there's nothing to bitch about.
As a whole this is a deprived world and it's only going to get worse. Soon there will be camps again only holding true believers in Christ and the mass murderers will again be happening.
I've watched many a film on this time in history and I weep almost every time. If I get to feeling things are unfair I just watch Shindlers List.

Plaszow concentration camp in Poland was destroyed, unlike Auschwitz Birkenau, and Auschwitz Birkenau two both of which are in Austria have not been destroyed or wiped out the reason why they are still commemorated and visited. Maybe you should ask the Polish government why they destroyed the concentration camp. The Plaszow concentration camp. Maybe the Polish authorities didn't want the world to know. They two were the abilities of the Nazi Holocaust. Unlike the Australians, who did not demolish the concentration camps in their country. None of the concentration camps should have been demolished or destroyed they should've been left as a moment anima Morial to the millions of Jews that was slaughtered by the Nazis so maybe the Polish government should be ashamed of themselves. I've not only enabling the Germans in what they did but trying to erase that and sales as the able is why was the concentration camp in their country destroyed? Plaszow concentration. Camp in Poland, has been completely destroyed and erased. That is why it doesn't get the publicity and the attention as I was the with stars because it still stands so why did the Polish government destroy the concentration camp in their country and the Australians didn't that's a question you should ask not criticise people for not acknowledging the other concentration camps. The other concentration camps were destroyed by the governments of those countries like Poland, the enablers of the Holocaust, yeah, just as guilty as neo-Nazis

  • @lorraineroberts3035

Investigate do research as to why Plaszow concentration camp in Poland was destroyed, instead of being left intact, like Auschwitz Birkenau and Auschwitz two in Austria, well left intact as a memorial. That's the question you should be asking why did the Polish government destroy the concentration camp in their country? Yeah, something to investigate who authorise the concentration camp Plaszow concentration camp in Poland to be abolished and erased why it was should've been left like the others in Austria, as a memorial to the victims of the holocaust. The the Austrian authorities did not demolish the concentration camps in their country. Why did Poland do that to raise their horrible history, that they were the enablers of the murders of Jews? None of the concentration camps should've been destroyed. None of them. It should've been a living reminder of what the Nazis did, and what the polishauthorities, dead and the Austrian government dead and the world did how else did the Nazis get away with killing 6 million Jews why the world did nothing. The enablers did nothing especially the Catholic Church and the United States of America. He didn't do nothing until Pearl Harbor yeah

They were GERMAN NAZI CONCENTRATION CAMPS - they were not polish but GERMAN, nazi Germany started WWII, nazi Germany invaded Poland in September of 1939, nazi Germany occupied this land, nazi Germany builded this death camps and NAZI GERMANY were killing people - remember this and do not mistake it with Poland or polish people because they were victims and oppressors were vastly Germans and sometimes other nations who volunteered to be in III Reich SS units.
