I don't care much about these preseason predictions. What I'm most concerned about is the way in which Downs will play this season.
My wish is that the evolve from Tiki taka nonsense. Spain has shown them the blue print of direct forward plan. Emphasis is on the quick movement of the ball going forward. Rhulani was found on the last quarter of last season.
We dramatically lost the ability to create scoring chances compared to earlier in the season. The few chances we made,Shalulile couldn't convert.
Rhulani made it worse with he request of 1000 passes in a single game.
Pirates,Sekhukhune & Cape town city didn't just have a plan to stop Downs but the way effective in the execution of those plans.
They let Downs play but when regain possession, they were very quick and direct going forward.
I would like to believe that our 7 & 11 will be crucial in this evolution process, whether those positions are interchangeable with wing backs. It's like going back to the Downs of Pitso. The ball was quickly moved from Nthenthe to the middle,Hlompho would play diagonal to Sirino,Dolly,Billiat and or Tau.

I feel like Folz is going to add the intensity and drive that Rhulani had as a young coach , I also suspect should the team underperform his Fleminbergs next choice as head coach.
I saw a clip of Folz training the team In Austria, Manqoba believes in team-work and admired Folz style of play from the days of Gallants.
I see that Folz is there to add a different dimension, they want to add speed into the turnover balls, I forsee Sundowns adding the element of quick counters which will help them especially in the continent where games are so tight and so tactical.
Overall, I think there will be an element of surprise with how downs plays especially in that they will speed it up a lot in the opponents half.
