Absolutely love this! As a woman who found my interest in aviation thanks to Alaska Airlines it’s great to see the strides women like Jennifer Kelsey are making in the industry. I remember seeing posts about how the FO on flight 1282 was a woman (and she did an amazing job!) but I’m also looking forward to the day when a woman in the cockpit can be commended for being an amazing pilot without taking special note of the fact that she’s a woman.
I am so glad you made this ... Very encouraging! 👏👏🤔 Recently, I met a young girl, (5th or 6th grade?), getting her involved with STEM activities - she knew she wanted to be a Test Pilot. Knew as in, the excitement in her voice as she shared her extremely and incredibly detailed plan for how to achieve her goal. Which even included 'checks' for other opportunities askey milestones were accomplished. I was so impressed 😲
So.... was Jennifer the most qualified candidate? Or was she just the most diverse? I care a lot less about her diversity than her competency when i get on her plane...
Lets see...the latest mishap with alaska airlines was.....drumroll please...a unnoticed open cargo door...during a flight....with pets inside....! But, by all means, carry on with your stupid paint jobs!
Hey there’s no way this happened during the flight. The pressure from inside would have kept it closed, even with the damaged spring. Everyone’s pets were okay!
@@emilypascual7739 It couldn't have happened during the flight? Oh good... So the pilots just took off with a door open. Lol... Imagine thinking that you actually defended anyone.
@@Jeffski82 Sounds like you misunderstood. All I’ve said is the pressurized cargo hold would have kept that closed during flight, no matter what the cause was, so the pets were okay. We don’t know when this happened, but pilots always do a walk around before, and there was no one else who reported seeing this open on the ground. I would hope you wouldn’t start making assumptions when you don’t have the information
Weird Flex Susie. Anyone who knows anything about that knows nothing bad happened and it was sensationalized. Nothing related to anything recently. Stop being a sheep and taking everything you read at face value. Check out AvHerald for a more comprehensive list of recent incidents and you'll be SHOCKED to see how things are just being reported on more. It doesn't necessarily mean something in the news is a big deal, but it might seem like it for some.

Ahh... Fair enough. Apologies for misunderstanding.
