Missy, as a health scientist, I would sanitise the outside of the package with anti-viral & anti-bacterial (you don't know what bacteria could also be on the package) spray or wipes & then sanitise the contents as well. Since this strain of coronavirus hasn't yet been around long enough, scientists can't say whether it will die in less than seven days of leaving the host body. I would also wear disposable gloves to open it & handle the contents for seven days. Alternatively, you could store the package away for seven days before you open it. This may seem dramatic, but even healthy people have died from coronavirus, & when it's passed onto a medically vulnerable person, they don't stand a chance.

hi daily bumps, I'm from Hong Kong and I've been watching this channel since oillie is young!! and hope you guys stay in good health:) So as you have mentioned, the Coronavirus is kinda serious these days. Just for your information, this virus is outbreak from WuHan, a city in Mainland China, and this virus have already being spread to other places like Hong Kong and Japan. Although Hong Kong is so-called part of China, I guess that the package you got was safe, just make sure you clean your hands and the surrounding after touched it. You'll be fine as blessed!! People now in Asia treat this virus kinda seriously, everyone now prevent go on street unless they have to. Nearly every single one of the people walking on the street are wearing mask and is indeed kinda scary tho. Schools are closed and people changed to home-office. Tho is haven't spread to US yet but just stay alert and prevent anything from happening hahahhaahh!! Bless you:) Hope these helps!! and remember to self-isolate Jimmy when he's back safely, so as to protect your fam!!

Weird I have not watched in a while and Oliver and Finn have gotten so big.
Honestly all mail goes through a distribution center so it's with many packages from all over. Just wear gloves when opening it and if it is something that is washable then wash and steam/sterilze it. Also open package outside. Clorox wipes too so you can wipe down.
My son is also overseas and I worry when I send packages to him, I'm also wondering when he will be able to come home too.

My husband's best friend moved to Japan 4 years ago then to China 2 years ago. His grandma was visiting him and had to cut her trip short and come home, she wasnt in wuhan where the outbreak was at the time so the government didn't quarantin her, thankfully we had been living in one of her mobile homes and bought a house so it was empty and she is now quarantining herself in the mobile home until the 17th. Him and his girlfriend just had to leave China because the area they are living in started getting bad. They went to Japan because his girlfriend could not get a VISA to the U.S. and we are all her just praying her VISA will be extended so she doesn't have to go back in 2 weeks. It's hard to live on the other side of the world and not be able to help!
